38:32 that's Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs. The reason is that the each song of the album is inspired by specific films, with the penultimate track 'Cimmerian Shade' being inspired by Silence of the Lambs. A lot of the single track artwork that was released also followed this, with artwork inspired by films like Return to Oz and Clash of the Titans. The latter of which is also the inspiration for the albums main cover.
also, James Acaster the British comedian was in a band called The Wow! Scenario and they recorded an album "in a similar fashion to Trout Mask Replica" which means they lived in a house for a month and ate nothing but beans and cheesy rice
Hey Jake! Just found your account and love your video essays. Considering you seem to just copy my music taste, I'd love to know if you're a fan of Xiu Xiu. If you mention them in this video my bad, I'm busy watching the videos of yours that aren't 40 minutes. All love
Yah I have listen to a bit of Xiu Xiu, specifically girl with basket of fruit and a promise and I thought there was a lot of good in both projects but also a lot of overboard experimentation that I haven’t really clicked with
@@ABucketofJake you gotta give fabulous muscles a try. Xiu are sort of trademarked experimental, I get why it could be a turn off, but Fab Muscles was an instant click for me + made their other work more digestible. My favourite ever.
The Weezer one is super good actually (i love Weezer)

I love listening to albums for the first time on vinyl
What is one of your favorite records to own?
That’s a good question, sealed trout mask will always be a flex for me
I love these videos
Title Fight is amazing
The black streaks in the red is probably because some records are made from recycled vinyl which shows itself sometimes especially on colored vinyl
Thank you jake, very cool as always
