Just saw the part on MULE. It's fucking tragic that people only see the body and not the mind. Just like Alan Turing, great minds are used for their ability until they display their inate yearning to be their true self. Then they are cast aside. People say that 'trans' is something that's only happening now because of some kind of epidemic but it's always been there. From Rebecca Heineman to Wendy Carlos. It's not that they didn't have a voice, its that the voice is easily ignored since your only way to make your voice truly heard was to be featured in magazines or other news outlets. But no fucking way they were going to help you. The voices have always been there, they are just able to sing now, hopefully loud enough to drown out the jeers and insults. Danielle died too soon but she left her mark and hopefully thats enough.
Wow these games are SO interesting, can’t believe how weirdly complex their first game was. Also, just got jumpscared seeing you in widescreen AND outside for the first time. Great video as always!
Excellent work, man. I am thrilled at your content. It is informative, educational, and entertaining. I've been telling people about EA's halcyon days for probably two decades now,, and people are always at least a little skeptical.
I remember being really impressed by the NES versions of Archon and MULE several years ago when a friend showed me them both, I only played them once but it really stuck with me. Murder on the Zindernoif looks awesome, I definitely want to try that out.
What's crazy is i own physical copies of nearly every game this video covered, and most are for the Atari 8 bit family. (Though Mule is on the NES as its a very sought after title on the computers.) Absolutely love the album boxes when I can get them. While EA was never an Origin Systems or SSI they published some amazing software before the 16 bit Genesis Sports era began their turn into pure evil. Activision is similar though much of it is due to Bobby Kotick who saved the company. Just in a way that maybe dead was better.
I hate that I, honest to god, keep coming across younger peeps who think I'm kidding them when I say companies like Ubi Soft, EA, Activision used to be great. Shit, Activision was THE original third party publisher in north america!
@@TheCellarTaigenMoon haha I also meant without going out, if there will be more parts of the story of E.A. when they were decent or even when they started their decadence and licensed sports games and the shit that we already know?
The on-camera shots in this video were all heavily color-corrected. It was also shot on a consumer-grade digital camera (not phone), so there's some natural fuzziness to the image

This is one of the weirdest coincidences, I was thinking the other day about how there is no EA video for this era,and its awesome you made this.

Yes! The Legend returns
"Can a computer make you cry?"
Yep. My computer made me cry tears of frustration by not powering up properly sometimes.
Pour one out for ‘Future Cop LAPD’. One of the last greats from EA never to be seen again.
RIP
Wake up babe new Taigen Moon
Great video, always love your longform content
Thanks!
The Taigen touches grass episode
Begrudgingly

Wow! You’re real! I always wanted to believe it, but seeing you in front of the EA headquarters I know it must be true! (Great video)

I don't have any plans to make videos on other parts of EA's history
great video so far, idk if you care but 29:05 has a typo in the title card, says contruction set instead of construction
Thanks I'm gonna throw myself off a bridge now
@@TheCellarTaigenMoon dont do this one

@@TheCellarTaigenMoon thanks. You seem to really understand the importance of medium.
