I just bought the Alta 80 this morning. Can’t wait to take it on the trail with my Jeep. I knew I was holding out on the Dometic for a reason.

Can you connect these to a regular battery setup as well, instead of a yeti?
How long will the 500 x run the Alta 50?… & what solar panel to pair it with to run continuous?
We estimate around a 60-hour runtime on the Yeti 500X with the Alta 50 at 35 degrees. We would recommend a 100 watt solar panel like the Nomad 100 or Boulder 100 Briefcase
Presuming the Alta 50 is pre-conditioned from a wall-outlet before being put in the jeep at 7am when we leave for a trip, can the Alta 50 run off a Yeti 200X for a full 24 hrs? We will likely have a boulder 50 on hand to keep Yeti 200X charged up during the day, but worst case if it's bad weather just wanted to make sure Yeti 200X can keep it running for 24 hrs. Thx
Hello, there are a lot of variables in calculating this runtime like how hot it is outside the Alta fridge as well as what is put inside of the fridge. With the Alta 50 pre-cooled and then plugged into the Yeti 200X we would estimate around a 20-hour run time if you add in the Boulder 50 to charge the Yeti 200X during the day you should easily be able to power your Alta 50 all weekend long!

Alta 50: Dimensions: 27.44 x 20.87 x 18.19 in. (69.7 x 53.0 x 46.2 cm)
Alta 80: Dimensions: 37.28 x 22.17 x 17.76 in. (94.7. x 56.3 x 45.1 cm)
So disappointed that I already own 3 different Engel units 😢.
