- This is a fan adaptation. WIP 1.
(WIP means work in progress, some things may change in the final film).
According to Halopedia: The Battle of Mombasa was an engagement during the Battle of Earth, taking place in late October 2552. Over the course of the battle, Covenant forces captured the city of Mombasa, Kenya and it was quickly retaken in a matter of hours by the UNSC.

Halpy new year, and congratulations on getting it out! I just wanted to say, the lack of music and the natural ambient noise with the batteries of the frigate firing absolutely nailed something few directors can stomach, scenes without music. You nailed it, every moment was beautifully paced, the cinematography blending was perfect, showing different shades of what can make a scene without making it feel cobbled together. It encapsulated the spirit of one of my favorite halo media pieces "another day at the beach" but this was next level, keep on cracking these bangers and stay true to yourself. This is the spirit of halo.

This is incredible. This is SODAZ level of action storytelling and animation. I REALLY need to see more of this! Muy bien hecho!
Do you know what i like most about this? The fact that the UNSC and the Covenant are acting like real military's. They are not just standing in the open exchanging shots, or running around yelling random stuff for yelling sake. And there is no just one or a handful of Spartans just running at the Covenant casually killing them all while the Covenant just let it happen. I am not saying all Halo animations that do that are bad, but this one feels like a breath of fresh air, and really stands out for the better.
Something of the game plays should've of always been like Such as call of duty Battlefield medal of honor etc, which is why I always like those games Because of they portrayed Actual army behavior but meanwhile everyone acts like retards with guns very well thought out bungie 🙄
I love the firefights so far in this, the UNSC actually using Semi-Auto for longer ranged engagements to hit the covenant taking cover was a really nice touch
Love the fact you are using the Halo 2 demo sounds and designs from E3 that never saw the main game.
Dude, your animations continue to get better and better with every entry. The level of effort and detail you put into them are awesome and respectful to the source material.

You should do a vid on R’tas (half jaw) as he fights the flood by himself to defend the Arbiter who got on the gondola to get the Index on Quarantine Zone!
Or the Covenant Schism on High Charity as the Flood arrives!

Badass animation, i loved halo 2 when the UNSC still had its navy power, instead of having to hide in the dirt in halo 3.
By the time of halo 3,UNSC navy was all but smashed to bits and the Prophet of Truth's reinforcements probably wiped out the majority of the Earth Defense Fleet leaving only a handful of frigates.

Halo 2 will forever be my favourite artstyle of the games, it was peak. Was sad to see how much it changed in the later games

We need more stuff like this, ESPECIALLY in regards to The Battle of Mombasa, it was a huge offensive, sadly we could not see this back in the day due to limitations. The LMG in the Warthog side seat was a great touch, along with the plasma burns on the main turret’s shield. Excellent work! Simply beautiful.
More let's goooooo, that was awesome. Really inching for some Marine melee combat. Would also be cool to see a mix of UNSC Armor, from different branches. Shows the desperate last ditch cobbling of troops...I also enjoy the Halo Reach Army troop models
The voice over makes it sound more like they're clearing out a guerilla insurrection force rather than alien invading army.

FINALLY someone who makes a good military lineup of mixed units and infantry load-outs, and animates frigates being used intelligently.
i love that frigate 2ndary bombardment/suppressive fire on the covenant cruiser, with multiple units focusing fire on 1 enemy ships at a time to drain the shields.
Now if you will excuse me..

the shot at 2:18 is absolutely beautiful, it reminds me of a very specific part of Halo 2 in the Mombasa streets and I feel like you captured it perfectly

I love how the Marines are using whats useful even using civilian buses for transportation or supply for ammunition like rifle and tank shells its like the are like sir we need transport looks at buses use that good details keep up the good work

If ever you need a VA for whatever hit me up, I can do British or French accents, probably Creole at a stretch, might be immersive for old Mombasa (even though like every marine in the game is Anglo-American, Chinese-American, Spanish-American, or Australian so idk lol)

This really looks great! But if I could offer some advice, the dialogue could use a bit of polish to sound more professional. Specifically, what I mean is how he says "Scorpion tanks, Warthog vehicles," which doesn't sound very militaristic. It would be better of he uses proper military designations such as, "M808 Scorpion tanks, M12-FAV Warthogs" . Just a suggestion. Can't wait to see it finished!
