David, you are a fantastic teacher. I can't believe how much I just improved my reading skill in 30 minutes. Thank you so much for your work and time to share.
@@CosmicCybernetics -I couldn't agree more Cameron! Thank you David, your videos are absolutely inspirational and easier to understand than most. Watching this 30 min video also opened my eyes to some 'how to's'' on actually understanding how to go about reading a chart and what it is you need to know. Your time and knowledge is priceless! Namaste.
@@CosmicCybernetics what about those quincux(those dot lines that still connects planets) or minor aspects, they r important but why are they not talked about
I’m watching a lot of videos of your channel and I’m re-learning a lot. I’m having a new astrology vision and is being a great journey. Thank you David for your time and I would like you to know your are helping me 😊namaste
Basic skills are sooooo important! Mastering the basics is what us athletes do as well. I intend to fully apply your guidance and what you stress that are so important! Thank you for these series of videos!
In Vedic Astrology we have what you call as "fall"; We call it Debilitation and is given equal importance as exaltation. We do have unequal house system (placidius houses) in the Vedic system as well and it's what we call "Bhava-Chalit" which is derived from the given Asc (arrived at - Dsc) and MC (arrived at -IC) after calculations.
You are welcome. Yes, there are transit interpretations included in both the Kepler and Sirius programs and there are also what we call the Avalon lessons in astrology included in both programs. You can click on the "Interpretations" link on the left side of website page www.astrosoftware.com/cpnew/software/kepler/interpretations.html to see interpretations that are included in Kepler, and one of them is transit interpretations.
Hi there thank you for this amazing course! I'm really enjoying it. I might be mistaken, but I think I noticed a small error: at 13:52, I did pause the video to read the notes and it appear that on the chart the moon squares neptune at 1 degree 27 min orb, however in the note it says it squares at 2°22 or 2°23, so I think it must have been a mix up with the orb of the jupiter mars trine, If I understand all this correctly. It doesn't take anything away from the course, it's just a small thing I noticed that might confuse some people. Thanks again for this amazing course!! Im really learning a lot!
I love your work David. I've been watching your course nonstop since this morning and you are making my life so much easier. Thank you sincerely. P.s. how do you feel about geocentricism and is the tropical system based off of Ptolemy`s teachings?
You are welcome. I use geocentic astrology. Most astrologers do. To interpret charts I use Vibrtaional Astrology. The rules of Vibrational Astrology are different in many ways from what Ptolemy emphasized.
Vibrational Astrology uses many ideas from harmonic astrology and cosmobiology (midpoints). I have made many videos on harmonic astrology, midpoints, and Vibrational Astrology. A good way to find them is to go to www.astrosoftware.com/cpnew/a_and_v/videos.html and click on "Astro Theory" and then you will see 3 menu items on Harmonic Astrology etc. with links to many videos. Sorry, I am not interpreting charts except for crisis situations and as part of classes and seminars that I give. I am just too busy to make time for this. Sorry.
Thanks Kenny. I use geocentric tropical astrology. The rules for interpretation that I use are mostly different from what Ptolemy described but there are some things in common and using geocentric positions and the tropical zodiac are two of them.
Mony I see your later comment that you went ahead and purchased Kepler 8. Thank you!!! BTW, I respond to posts to these videos only about once every week or two on average. For a faster response you can email us. There is also a facebook page for Kepler and Sirius users. Sorry, the Health Encyclopedia is included in Sirius but not Kepler.
David Cochrane thanks for your responde! I apareciste it :) There is a list of herbs. That's great! I'm a student of Chinese Medicine, so it might be healthful at some point :)
What do you do with a sign at 29 degrees, like for example some astrologers think Philip Seymour Hoffman is a Leo and some think Cancer. Does the 29 degrees count no matter what sign or do you round it to the next sign? I have moon in Leo in the 11th house at 29 degrees and some say I have 11th house moon but Astrodientst says I have 12th house moon.
Different astrologers have different opinions about whether a planet in the 29th degree of a sign has some qualities of the next sign. I believe that a planet at 29 degrees and 59 minutes of a sign, i.e., at the very end of the sign may have some qualities of the next sign and otherwise does not, so typically a planet at 29 degrees of a sign does not have the qualities of the next sign . . . but that is just my sense of it, I might be wrong, and other astrologers have different opinions about this. There are more astrologers who believe that a planet at the end of a house has qualities of being in the next house and some astrologers believe that a planet within a few degrees of the next house is in the next house or has qualities of both houses. In what you wrote it sounds like you are confusing houses and signs and they are different. The first video in this series of videos, and which I give a link to at the beginning of this video, explains what houses and signs are. There are also different house systems. The first videos in this series of videos will help with understanding this.
Yes, Sun is quintile Moon but the orb is 2 degrees 44 minutes. Some astrologers who do interpret quintiles use a smaller orb and with an allowable orb of 2 1/2 degrees or less, the aspect is out of orb so then the quintile apect is not there. In other words, whether sun is quintile Moon or note depends on what the allowable orb is for quintiles and different astrologers have different opinions about what the allowble orbs for aspects should be.
Yes, this is a good point. I will make a video on differences between aspects in modern western, ancient western and Vedic astrology. In Vedic astrology it is common use sign-base aspects, and the emphasis in this video is on the western astrology approach to aspects.
Sorry, not at this time. Astrologers Linda Berry and Starlene Breiter use the same system of astrology that I use. Linda's website is www.AstrologicalDepth.com
Good video but wrong to say that astrologers know it's a square aspect, for example, because they know that Capricorn and Aries are square to each other. If one planet was at the end of Aries and the other towards the beginning of Capricorn, they would be in dissociate trine to each other, not square just because of the signs. That was a sure way to trip up and/or confuse beginner astrologers IMO.
You are incorrect. Before commenting it helps if you watch the entire video. It appears that you watched less than 9 minutes of a video that is over 30 minutes long. Out-of-sign aspects (what you call a dissociate aspect) are explained starting at 8:50. A sure way to trip up and/or confuse oneself is to comment without first taking in all the information, which is what you just did. If you like, I can save you further embarrassment by removing your comment.

I don't use irbs that large, so this just confused me. But I do use finer aspects, so Quintiles and Septiles.
Yeah.
🤔

what do the orbs mean or say about you?
The smaller the orb, the stronger the aspect, and the more impact the aspect has.
thank you! is sun quintile moon or am i reading the grid wrong?
