That I feel so much comfort being in a place where I don't know anyone and don't speak the language. That for other people it can be very threatening and uncomfortable. I just love that!

I’m Aries and I am aware that in order for me to experience happiness the people around me need to be happy so for me to get what I want I need to fix what’s broken in the world around me, it’s exhausting! Love this! As an Aries sun looking for insight on the sign, most of what I’ve found has been very simplistic and unflattering, but I am really loving this nuanced discussion. To the point you raised about being funny, I have been told I am funny but it is in an unconscious way. The more apt description of being cheeky, addressing a situation in the moment with a sly comment…bold but in a manner that doesn’t garner offense. Not premeditated-spontaneous.
We are babies yet great leaders that dont finish much of what they start lol. I have 5 or 6 aries placements including sun however im libra rising. War within myself always . My spouse and father are both Aries Sun peeps and when I think of the quality of funny, I feel like they and other Aries that I know or meet are charismatic and certainly jovial. I think too of the energy supporting this in this sign, is the child, youthfulness of Aries, the bravery to say something or act silly when others might hold back, to compete for attention and to be quick witted and sometimes sarcastic too and at the same, they can say something that totally gets them in trouble. One thing I feel is overlooked about Aries, is that, the enterprising, momentous quality that we have can also fuel order and discipline. Aries doesn’t always mean chaos if our motives don’t require it. Then again I have Saturn & Uranus in Capricorn, in the 1st house. Aries means energy. The contained explosion of the constant flow expressed through us repressed. Also Aries can also TAKE a lot of aggression not just give it.

I appreciate this thorough exploration of the zodiac sign energies and archetypes associated with Aries. I am a sun sign Pisces and moon sign Scorpio, but my rising sign is Aries, my mars is in Aries, and my north node is in Aries, all in my first house. I am very much an Aries in everyway described, with esoteric/ humanitarian/ artistic/ rebel with a cause flavors added into the mix. Looking forward to hearing about the other signs!

Lol as an Aries with a Pisces venus and mercury, I would suggest that there is real compassion in Aries brutal honesty and bluntness- at its best- it is an open invitation to do better. Sometimes people being “nice” just allows us to engage in our BS longer than is good for us- an Aries with no fucks to give can be a blessed antidote. What is more compassionate than telling a truth that needs to be said- even if it means being hated for it?
Another great exemple chart is Rihanna's chart, with the Moon, Venus and Jupiter on the ascendant! And she's very much all about that, I mean, the album's names and songs like "Unapologetic" "Only Girl" "Rude Boy" etc fits so much the archetype for Aries. Recently she was nominated national Hero of Barbados, her country of origin. Even though she's an early degree Pisces Sun, I think the Aries influence in her personality stands out in such a way that is so easy to spot on!

I love that Rick brought up Martial Arts as being Mars and Venus, I think about this a lot. I often think of Mulan as being very Mars/Venus. I was daydreaming recently about this whole concept and a car passed by with a license plate that said a variation of the word Samurai, it blew my mind.
I have a Venus and Mars conjunction in Virgo and I like to put it like "I'll throw a bouquet of flowers at you if I'm mad" or "I'll break into your house to wash your dishes and water your plants" lol I also bring up being a force advocate for others. I'm a social worker and I will definitely go to bat for my clients.
One person came to mind when this amazing conversation mentioned Aries and wit - Paul Rudd has a stellium in Aries and he’s quite a hilarious actor + comedian.
Aries asserts - knows how to say no and knows how to get to the point, get the information they need etc. I love being an Aries Sun even though many descriptions do not fit me. I think this is because I have Virgo ASC qunicunx its Aries Mercury ruler. Also, exalted Mars in Cap. I can really relate to Aries - we appreciate the directness and assertiveness in each other and not be threatened by it. Plus - we do love passion! Ha. Enthusiasm indeed. PS - I had two Leo bosses who told me in my first review that I had a lot of spark ! Ha I stayed with them for years - very compatible.
Got to consider what house in which this Aries Sun resides; the area of the Natal Wheel in which it resides. So much goes into what defines an individual. An individual equals the sum of all their parts. The Natal Chart helps in defining an individual.
@@rosezagel240 Oh sure - I know that. (I am an astrologer.) I was just responding to the archetypal description and how some of it does not play out with every person. As you are saying - best not to judge the individual by the Sun sign alone etc.or even all of its supposed attributes. I think, for example, the Earthy ASC really does affect, as does the Aries Sun ruler in an earth sign for me.
Wow its weird...I am Aries Sun...Sag ascendant...Sag moon... and no doubt about it I do not get along with other fire signs at all I only get along with water and earth signs and occasionally a Libra why is this I don't get it???

"I know what I like and I don't like instantaneously" --- as an Aries, this is one of the hardest things for me to explain bc the way I feel about people is 90% indifferent but 5% immediately know we are supposed to be connected and 5% immediately know they are going to fuck someone over, to stay away from them, etc. No one understands that feeling.

Quite interesting how dandelions grow where soil in poor. The roots break up or ram into impacted soil enriching it with calcium and minerals, making it fertile.
I am having the craziest synchronicities today around Aries. I went to draw my daily tarot card, thinking, "I have a lot to do today, I wouldn't mind that Emperor energy" and bam, there he was, all dressed in red and with those ram's horns. 58:45 the interesting thing about Chris rock is that he stopped himself from saying something that would have escalated the situation at the Oscars. You can hear him say something like "I could say..." And you can tell he wants to say something, maybe something cutting or mean, but he stops himself. A lot of Aries would not have been able to resist that temptation
Suggestion for this series: compare the sign to its elemental compatriots. You guys touched upon it a little with a mention of Leo but I'm keen to go further in understanding how an Aries is similar and different from a Leo and from a Sagittarius. Also perhaps how planets behave through the decans of a sign, i.e. what does it mean for the face of Aries to change according to its decanic ruler.

I tried to write religion books but religion kept on changing with the times, so I tossed it out the window and I teach religion of the now. The universe is recreated every second. I really can relate to what this astrologer has found in each universe of a life time. Just pray that if god chews us up, that we are put back together in a real fine way. 32:45 that's very true! My very wise little cousin with an Aries Sun who was around 7- 8 years old at the time was, and still is today, a sucker for crazy scary rollercoasters. At that time she had gone on way scarier ones than I had the courage to, and I joked and said to her "I'm not as brave as you" and she said "that's not true, being brave is doing something in spite of your fears. When I go on this rollercoaster I'm not being braver than you because I don't think it's as scary as you think, but when you go on a rollercoaster you think is as scary as I think this one is, you're being just as brave". Chris, I would LOVE to see you interview Karen Curry Parker about how Human Design and Astrology interrelate and how they differ. For example, I resonate deeply with both my birth chart AND my body graph. I’m a Cancer Sun, Gemini Moon Stellium, Aquarius Rising. I don’t have a lot of Aries influence in my birth chart. However, in Human Design, I’m a Manifestor AKA Initiator. Perhaps, this is why Aries energy and I have a little bit of a tough time. We’re both fire starters, in our own ways.
I watched my son and his partner play a game and they did play in the way of their characters. It was a warrior (Aries) type video game. My son is a First House Scorpio and his partner is Fifth House Aries. My son plowed into the middle of the game and stood their and fought. His partner displayed constant motion and did circles around him. This does illustrate the speed and quickness of Aries and the longevity and power of Scorpio. Also illustrates how both support one another.

I really like the concept, also, of fire signs being intuitive. I tend to agree more with Chris on this one, though - as I see “instinct” more tied to action and the masculine expression, whereas intuition is more receptive and the feminine expression.
Late Aries rising (square Mars at 0 Leo). My chiropractor keeps on correcting my posture, "put your head back!" I have 2 siblings who are Aries sun. When talking they sound like a machine gun, I hear that in Rick too. And re: Gary Kasparov, just heard a ted talk by him yesterday and I could hear the rat-tat-tat and thought, Aries! but didn't have time to look up his chart.

Lol as an Aries with a Pisces venus and mercury, I would suggest that there is real compassion in Aries brutal honesty and bluntness- at its best- it is an open invitation to do better. Sometimes people being “nice” just allows us to engage in our BS longer than is good for us- an Aries with no fucks to give can be a blessed antidote. What is more compassionate than telling a truth that needs to be said- even if it means being hated for it?
I am an Aries sun, rising, Venus and I have literally said the phrase "I don't gamble with money, I gamble with life decisions" wow LOL!
Another great exemple chart is Rihanna's chart, with the Moon, Venus and Jupiter on the ascendant! And she's very much all about that, I mean, the album's names and songs like "Unapologetic" "Only Girl" "Rude Boy" etc fits so much the archetype for Aries. Recently she was nominated national Hero of Barbados, her country of origin. Even though she's an early degree Pisces Sun, I think the Aries influence in her personality stands out in such a way that is so easy to spot on!

I love that Rick brought up Martial Arts as being Mars and Venus, I think about this a lot. I often think of Mulan as being very Mars/Venus. I was daydreaming recently about this whole concept and a car passed by with a license plate that said a variation of the word Samurai, it blew my mind.
I have a Venus and Mars conjunction in Virgo and I like to put it like "I'll throw a bouquet of flowers at you if I'm mad" or "I'll break into your house to wash your dishes and water your plants" lol I also bring up being a force advocate for others. I'm a social worker and I will definitely go to bat for my clients.
One person came to mind when this amazing conversation mentioned Aries and wit - Paul Rudd has a stellium in Aries and he’s quite a hilarious actor + comedian.

Aries asserts - knows how to say no and knows how to get to the point, get the information they need etc. I love being an Aries Sun even though many descriptions do not fit me. I think this is because I have Virgo ASC qunicunx its Aries Mercury ruler. Also, exalted Mars in Cap. I can really relate to Aries - we appreciate the directness and assertiveness in each other and not be threatened by it. Plus - we do love passion! Ha. Enthusiasm indeed. PS - I had two Leo bosses who told me in my first review that I had a lot of spark ! Ha I stayed with them for years - very compatible.
Got to consider what house in which this Aries Sun resides; the area of the Natal Wheel in which it resides. So much goes into what defines an individual. An individual equals the sum of all their parts. The Natal Chart helps in defining an individual.
@@rosezagel240 Oh sure - I know that. (I am an astrologer.) I was just responding to the archetypal description and how some of it does not play out with every person. As you are saying - best not to judge the individual by the Sun sign alone etc.or even all of its supposed attributes. I think, for example, the Earthy ASC really does affect, as does the Aries Sun ruler in an earth sign for me.
Wow its weird...I am Aries Sun...Sag ascendant...Sag moon... and no doubt about it I do not get along with other fire signs at all I only get along with water and earth signs and occasionally a Libra why is this I don't get it???

"I know what I like and I don't like instantaneously" --- as an Aries, this is one of the hardest things for me to explain bc the way I feel about people is 90% indifferent but 5% immediately know we are supposed to be connected and 5% immediately know they are going to fuck someone over, to stay away from them, etc. No one understands that feeling.

Quite interesting how dandelions grow where soil in poor. The roots break up or ram into impacted soil enriching it with calcium and minerals, making it fertile.

Suggestion for this series: compare the sign to its elemental compatriots. You guys touched upon it a little with a mention of Leo but I'm keen to go further in understanding how an Aries is similar and different from a Leo and from a Sagittarius. Also perhaps how planets behave through the decans of a sign, i.e. what does it mean for the face of Aries to change according to its decanic ruler.
I would love more information on how planets change their expression based on decan ruler!

I tried to write religion books but religion kept on changing with the times, so I tossed it out the window and I teach religion of the now. The universe is recreated every second. I really can relate to what this astrologer has found in each universe of a life time. Just pray that if god chews us up, that we are put back together in a real fine way. One should have balance, to have alone time without being alone. Society has let unholy leaders, lead, that is un true in the so called 5-D. Take a giant step out of the 3-D. Thanks Chris and Rick !
32:45 that's very true! My very wise little cousin with an Aries Sun who was around 7- 8 years old at the time was, and still is today, a sucker for crazy scary rollercoasters. At that time she had gone on way scarier ones than I had the courage to, and I joked and said to her "I'm not as brave as you" and she said "that's not true, being brave is doing something in spite of your fears. When I go on this rollercoaster I'm not being braver than you because I don't think it's as scary as you think, but when you go on a rollercoaster you think is as scary as I think this one is, you're being just as brave". Chris, I would LOVE to see you interview Karen Curry Parker about how Human Design and Astrology interrelate and how they differ.
For example, I resonate deeply with both my birth chart AND my body graph. I’m a Cancer Sun, Gemini Moon Stellium, Aquarius Rising. I don’t have a lot of Aries influence in my birth chart. However, in Human Design, I’m a Manifestor AKA Initiator. Perhaps, this is why Aries energy and I have a little bit of a tough time. We’re both fire starters, in our own ways.
Either way, I’m really excited about this series & I’m happy to dive a little deeper into studying Aries energy. Maybe I can incorporate some notes
I watched my son and his partner play a game and they did play in the way of their characters. It was a warrior (Aries) type video game. My son is a First House Scorpio and his partner is Fifth House Aries. My son plowed into the middle of the game and stood their and fought. His partner displayed constant motion and did circles around him. This does illustrate the speed and quickness of Aries and the longevity and power of Scorpio. Also illustrates how both support one another.

I really like the concept, also, of fire signs being intuitive. I tend to agree more with Chris on this one, though - as I see “instinct” more tied to action and the masculine expression, whereas intuition is more receptive and the feminine expression.
