People really need to not see them in cages
It's not easy to see them in cages where they don't belong but its the sad reality that big cats born in cages can never go free. It is not legal. We need to keep them in the wild where they belong but it takes changes in laws and education to those who think having a big cat as a pet is a good idea. We have passed the law in the US which now prohibits cub petting and private possession but sadly it doesn't have those who have already been used for selfish human reasons and now are relegated to life in a cage. It's a sad side effect of our selfish human behavior that has led to so many big cats having to live out their lives in cages.

More true than you think, sometimes we aren't even overgrown. Lions and tigers do and will eat humans under the right circumstances. On rarest of occasions even mountain lions will at least attempt an attack on humans, considering they will eat a 200lb deer no reason not to eat a dead human if they ever killed one. And don't get me wrong I love and respect big cats and believe they have a place on our planet. I'm just realistic about their honest potential. They are apex predators.
