I liked playing banyan, would ride with my clubs on my shoulder from the HH Hyatt and play twilight golf (walk 18 I think starting 2 or 3 pm), didn’t seem to mind the heat .. hope you enjoyed your Thailand vacation in addition to golf! Food, massage, beach, pool…
Loved the clip Shan as you provide a lot of information regarding the course and how to best play it. You mentioned an early start is preferable. I’m in Hua Hin early May so what tee time window do you suggest would be best?
Thanks! For May, I would still suggest teeing off early if you can. It's pretty hot during the day, especially if it's a really sunny day with no clouds 😂 plus you'll be done around lunch and have the afternoon to relax or explore!
Unlike when I played there you didn’t meet a cobra on the tee. Lucky for us the caddy was alert to this happening. Suffice to say after it left we couldn’t get off the tee quick enough. Have you played Black Mountain, if not you are in for a treat.
Wohhh a cobra?! Thats incredibly scary and cool. Good thing caddy saw! I did play Black Mountain and really enjoyed it! I made a vlog as well, a couple videos back. 😊
Love your golf videos ! You have a great swing!!! Which courses do you like the best in Thailand? I'm in Pattaya for a few months and the courses are pretty far away using Bolt. Hua Hin they seem closer. How about Chiang Mai? I going to go back to Chiang Mai after the burning season. I'm wondering if Hua Hin would be a better option every burning season. Thanks !
Thank you! In Bangkok, I'd say Nikanti is my favorite In Pattaya, Laem Chabang (Nicklaus course) is my favorite of the few I've played In Hua Hin, it's Banyan for sure 😊 I haven't been to Chiang Mai.. yet! Haha I personally liked Huahin more than Pattaya. There's more to do in Pattaya for sure, especially night life.
Thank you Shan. I played Banyan (Pineapple Valley) today and loved it. Having the course a little softer in the morning made it nicer to play. The greens were tricky if you were above the hole. After watching your video on Palm Valley, I decided to go back and play Banyan again in 2 days. Loved all the doggies running around. Thanks for making these videos. It really helped me decide where to play.
I feel bad for the dogs! Good video as usual. I am curious to know if you are intending to take the club so much to the inside on your takeaway for your chipping only?
It's the caddies marker ☺️ I don't want to pocket it by accident! Because I have the camera, they will stand to the side while I line up and putt. So I just leave the marker on the ground and then pick it up and give it back to them after.
Not sure why people like Banyan so much. Played it many times & seriously over rated in my mind. I think Springfield & BM are far better layouts personally. One question though - why do you put a coin down beside your ball on longer putts?

the way my heart MELTS every time i see a dog ❤I can't help it. thank you for all your support :)
This looks like great shop ,plenty of putters to try and many money saving tips on green fees etc.👍
Great course. Defo my favorite there. 17 is a great par 3
Played 4 times in Hua Hin 19 years ago, including once with my son when he was 15, would love to go back.
Yes my favourite too. Interesting name change?!. Challenging course but also very playable and beautiful amenities 🏌🏿♀️🏌🏿♀️👍👍
Yes, my favorite golf course in Hua Hin. Played in January too.
Nice second putt on 7!! woooo.. turns out it was a sign of things to come
Great content Shan, your driver swing is very smooth
Without doubt the best course in hua hin played in January early morning fantastic. They are able to water it extensively as they own to reservoirs
That's why! I was pleasantly surprised the grass was not dry like the other courses
Played there alot in HH. Banyan would bey favorite also. You played it very well....par on SI 1 😊.

I didn't know I do that! 😂 But you're right, I'm not sure!
I'm sure you have mentioned it on previous videos, but why do you leave your ball marker on the ground when putting?

Do you have to ride in the cart with your caddie or can you ride with your playing partner?
I had to ride in the cart with my caddie and my partner in a separate cart with his caddie
Come join us for an ice-cold beer and meet the friendliest caddies in Hua Hin!
Did you play college or high school golf , Shan ?
I competed in Highschool, not in college 😊
Pineapple valley is the new name it now sounds like a 500 baht coruse 😢
It could be because there's another pretty famous course called Banyan in the US? Im not sure haha

22:52 a.k.a. "foursomes"
I disagree, dogs should not be allowed on golf courses.
Get used to dogs on golf courses in Thailand, they are to be found everywhere…….
At Royal Hua Hin golf course there's an infamous troop of monkeys to deal with as well.
You play bad thats why the dogs are coming for your ball🤣
