An Albatross is not restricted to par 5. A hole in one on a Par 4 is also an albatross (or double eagle). And yes it’s also an Ace in that case. (Not that i ever came close to one ! 😂)
If that ever happened to me I would definitely call that an Ace over a double eagle but It is nice to know I would have the bragging rights of calling it one or the other or both! Thanks for commenting!
So if you hit one OB then tee up and hit the fairway, that means from the fairway you are sitting 3 hitting 4?
Good question. You would be sitting 3. One stroke out of bounds, one penalty stroke, and then the third stroke you made when you actually hit your second ball.
