My favorite city anywhere. Have loved it and visited since my grandparents retired in 1963 to East Palatka, 25 miles away. This fine video does the city honors. A great place to visit.
Saint Augustine has a rich Spanish and British history and heritage. I went to Saint Augustine in November of 2006 on a bus tour from Hialeah where I live to the oldest Spanish town in the United States. It was very cold on my first visit with my family and stayed at a hotel and had lunch and dinner and breakfast! I went ot the many wonderful places of the city! It was so cool!

That weird cloud is actually smoke from a nearby wildfire. Also, the pirate guys come from the fact that St. Augustine was raided several times by pirates in it's early history.
Wish I could appreciate my home town as much as you guys did! You guys should see our royal family too some time. St. Augustine has a royal family that shows up for certain events (they normally show up down by the boats on the Wednesday before Easter). My friend is a princess lol. I love your video! I feel I was there with you all. I must say the 600 year old tree is old but I believe the oldest tree in Florida is "Lady Liberty", an approximately 2,000 year old Bald Cypress Tree at Big Tree Park in Sanford FL. America has trees so old like between 2000-4000 years old.
Oh my gosh, thank you for setting the record straight! My bad for getting my facts wrong. Looks like the Old Senator in St. Augustine is just an old tree, and I just assumed it was the _oldest_ tree because everything else in St. Augustine was the oldest and first of its kind. @@PerfectLittlePlanet The Lady Liberty in Sanford had a big brother called the Senator there in the same park, older than she was but tragically The Senator got burned down about 3-4 years ago by some crack addict who set the poor tree on fire. Hey Guys, how are you? Please, let me know if yiu guys have the script of this video in order to I could explore this record about Saint Augustine with my students who go there for vacation. Thank you.
Check out all things datil. Datil peppers are native to St Augustine and you will see them in most restaurants, made into sauces. O'Steens restaurant shrimp sauce is a perfect example. Very spice and very sweet, they are put into so many local dishes and sauces. They actually have a festival for the Datil Pepper every fall. www.floridashistoriccoast.com/events/datil-pepper-fall-festival/ So much good food to eat, but they are still around in other dishes the entire year. It's kind of a "locals" secret that they let others in on.
That's really interesting. I've heard a few times on here about O'Steens, but not about the peppers they use in the sauce. Thanks for sharing. I love learning new things about places we've visited. -Brian
This entire video was filmed in one day. However, if you want to do the fountain of youth and some of the other forts in the area, planning one more day would be more than enough time to do everything. -Brian
Going back to a place for good food is always a good reason to return. Thanks for adding a place to our reasons to go back to St. Augustine! As soon as this pandemic is over...
Yes, the Spanish built the fortress, but they handed it over to the British after Spain and France lost the Seven Years War and had to give Florida to Britain as part of the Treaty of Paris. What we saw was the reenactment of that transfer. I thought it was interesting.
Les dedico una canción muy linda y tierna para san agustin,y para mi,se llama HEIDAR¡¡¡HEIDAR!¡!y si hacen los efectos de 11 de septiembre,se oye mejor, gracias.

@@pamellag869 Omg amazing, and yes there is a pass for all the museum's :).
Love it there
Such a great place, right?! We can't wait to go back. -Brian
Actually they have a celebration for the Fourth of July down there as well
I bet that's a great time!
So is everything in walking distance? Looking to go on halloween day
Sorry for the delayed response. Hopefully you were able to go and walk this all on Halloween. Yes, everything we saw in this video is within about 1.5 miles. So even though we drove to a few places, you can walk it all.
The milk lady 😂
Alyssa says "they're awesome people! I want to be as awesome as them!!"
Thanks so much! Alyssa, we have no doubt you can be way more awesome than we are. :)
I’m thinking about taking my boyfriend this weekend, thank you for this video!
Any tips on parking and experiencing the beautiful city without spending a bunch of money?
We parked at the Visitor Center which is $15 for the entire day. But if you're going to be there on Saturday, they do free parking for the Nights of Lights celebration. Check this website for locations: www.floridashistoriccoast.com/page/park-st-augustine
I love st.aug
going there on my 4th grade field trip tomorrow! my mom did not go for my bro and sis. cause too many chaperones. also we are going there again the weekend after my nephews birthday. turning three! going there for the haunted ghost tours, staying there, also when my mom went there with my sissy she saw ice cream place. and its been 15 years since my mom went. i love this channel! *53 dislikes is insulting.* *the 53 dislike people are gonna get hurt.*

My Grandma And Me And my Bro or my Sister go there every sunday. and its been *4 YEARS* since i have been there. Have a great day!

Great place to live! We're jealous.

If you ever come back would you please go to the old jail it’s really cool
We did visit the Old Jail (9:24 in the video). We had a blast there. -Brian
@@PerfectLittlePlanet oh I forgot lol
I went here for a field trip! It's so funny because we walked in the same spots 😂
I live in st Augustine
That's cool that you saw all this too! Did we miss anything that you did?
i love st augustine
Us, too! Can't wait to go back and explore more.
-Brian
I went on a field trip here and It was the first
It was the first... field trip? How did you like it?
Should do the ghost tour in st aug its year round and you will learn alot
We heard about that! Definitely want to check that out next time we're back in St. Augustine. Thanks for the tip! -Brian
Hi! Thanks for the video.
I'm planning to go soon. How many days did you need to be able to go to all those places? Thanks.
This entire video was filmed in one day. However, if you want to do the fountain of youth and some of the other forts in the area, planning one more day would be more than enough time to do everything. -Brian
Thank you so much!
Beautiful couple, God bless.
:) Thank you.
Good video. We’ve been going for 30 years but a visit to St. A without a visit to Hazel’s Hot Dogs is not a visit to St. A.
Going back to a place for good food is always a good reason to return. Thanks for adding a place to our reasons to go back to St. Augustine! As soon as this pandemic is over...
The Spanish built that fortress, I don’t see why so interesting to see the English soldiers playing a thing there 🤷♂️ San Agustin was a Latino city.
Yes, the Spanish built the fortress, but they handed it over to the British after Spain and France lost the Seven Years War and had to give Florida to Britain as part of the Treaty of Paris. What we saw was the reenactment of that transfer. I thought it was interesting.
Went there last June
How did you like it?
Perfect Little Planet it was fun I pretty much went to the places where you guys went
Nice
Thanks!
This is where I live!!!! Also the hurricane is hitting me in 10 minutes so please pray for me and the affected people
How are you doing, Gracie? Did you and your family survive the hurricane ok? Hope all is well. -Brian
Les dedico una canción muy linda y tierna para san agustin,y para mi,se llama HEIDAR¡¡¡HEIDAR!¡!y si hacen los efectos de 11 de septiembre,se oye mejor, gracias.
Creo que, gracias?
If you want law and order, safety and security, low taxes and a great city to live in consider this beautiful city and county. Its heavily conservative thats why all the pre mentioned are all available.
Do you live there? What should we do next time we visit?
Going there tomorrow 😋😋 I’m from north Georgia
Have a great visit!
Perfect Little Planet Update: We has a blast there! It was so fun

Hey, brian I remember you from Del Sol Curacao.
Hey Kirk! Yeah, hey, how are you?
Then... it was transferred back to Spain 1787 when Bernardo De Galvez took it back from Britain?
That is a long, complicated history! -Brian
