What was the fan reception to the Newborn when the movie first came out? I was just born that year so i wouldn't know

Hated it. The movie was widely hated in general for its silly/weird tone and go nowhere plot.

@@OpenMawProductions yeah,I went to see it in theatre and was slightly disappointed,mostly because Higgs,newt and co were just abandoned as charachters ? But over the years the movie grew on me a bit more

I was a kid back then and enjoyed it. The human/alien abomination and body horror (?) is memorable. The cast feels notable and entertaining. I remember wondering how they would continue to story... no chance of that now.
