He never blew me away, it was all aesthetic and I had already gone quite hc my using psychedelic/dissociative face (with passion 😂) so just the name Acid Rap was very c'mon man. It sounds kinda like 420 Rap in it's own sense. Like I don't doubt Ye, since Lupe kinda needs to be super slick g-minded to be able to stay In That Business and continue to spread positive message on his level. Say what he says. Like for real for real I wouldn't even be suprised if Royce was offered some xtra money for the Lupe pod to minimize him and make the geek thing to stuck (make him un-cool) since labels have been heavily criss crossing with privatized prison systems. Provenly. Ice Cube and Bone Thugs talking about getting more money when making gangsta rap. Which is why Kanye cannot just say Lupe is better even tho fawning over him. So Lupe must be somekinda thorn on some big peoples side who are just annoyed and want him gone. In Roc A Fella Y'all is line: "He who answered the call (calling), the Most Cancelled rapper rappin never happened to fall." So they must've tried few times. Lupe even says in the Steve Jobs diss that he was highly sceptical why is Royce calling him for a pod. Then when he was last time in it shouting without shirt and said that I have something for you, I have someone else to come handle the business (Mickey) so he clearly had from start a plan-b if it looks like Royce have some bad faith motivations. As it did look like since according to Royce, minimizing Lupe and geek this geek that All The Time is just jokes, but then he himself is crying when Lupe and Mickey did the disses. Like you can say Lambda is better rapping but given Lupe pretty much Instantly answered with freestyle and it was wayway more impactfull as a Diss. Then Mickey doing both, clean and direct and finishes it off leaving Royce crying does he need to take it to violence.. 🙄 They are not ready for that, blablablaaabla for 10-20h and yet not rapping again.
Love both, but I feel it’s comparing apples to oranges. Especially after Drogas Wav, Lupe is on another level as far as storytelling and using multiple entendres.
At one point, I was listening to "DROGAS WAVE" everyday for months. That project is INSANE. "WAV files" is complex, somber, yet, hauntingly beautiful. "CRIPPLE" showed me how well Lupe can sing. I thought initially it was someone else who was singing, but it's still Lu. What can't that beautiful man do?
Lupe is really from the west side of Chicago from the mud… people just don’t stand by him because he would hurt the gangster image because he promotes being positive and an telling the truth
@@kkindseyLupe is from the westside of Chicago and was really a part of that street shit. Look up his manager Chilly Mack and what happened to him. Ye and the rest of them know, that's why even the drill guys didn't play around with Lupe's name
i remember some years ago Mos Def publically challenged all rappers to battle. wanted smoke with anyone who wanted it.....lupe said he'd do it......Mos quite literally said "I meant anyone but you"......been my GOAT since The Cool but solidified since SLR 2. Kendrick was gaining that possible GOAT status and Wasulu had to swiftly quell that shit in true Lupe fashion. Lupe was kendrick long before kendrick
Lupe was my favorite rapper in high school, and honestly, he’s still on my legacy favorites list. He was the first artist in hip-hop I felt I could actually relate to. Back then, I couldn't vibe with the typical themes of drugs, money, and women-it just didn’t resonate with me. I wasn’t a fan of what those messages were putting out into the world. But then there was Lupe. Lupe opened the door for me to truly appreciate lyricism on another level. His music made me realize the power of words, storytelling, and meaningful expression in rap. That foundation eventually led me to someone else who, for me, is now the GOAT of lyricism: Aesop Rock. If you haven’t heard of him, do yourself a favor and look him up. Aesop Rock’s music is a masterclass in wordplay, layered meanings, and pure poetic genius. Even Lupe himself-yes, Lupe Fiasco-has said that every rapper should study Aesop Rock. He even made a whole video explaining why. Oh, and just to be clear, this is Aesop Rock, not A$AP Rocky-two completely different vibes. Trust me, once you dive into Aesop Rock’s discography, you’ll understand why both Lupe and I hold him in such high regard. Thanks for reading my TED Talk. 😄
In some round about way, Ye giving Lupe his flowers (sort of) is awesome but totally un-needed. Lupe is well beyond his early career with Ye. Comparing Lu and Chance is crazy. Lu runs circles around everyone at the table.
His city man. Has to bridge the sides and be diplomatic. Not mad at him at all, but we know the real answer is Lupe. Chance was cool when he first came out. He reminded me of Eminem a little with the acid rap stuff, but then it seemed like the industry latched on to him to take that buzz and hotness and commercialize it. A similar sort of thing they did with Kendrick, but Kendrick was halfway more organic, but it was like the west coast establishment jumped on his back instead of the whole industry
Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Lupe, Hopsin, and a few others are golden examples of the previous generations goats. The Em, Ye, and Wayne era came before them. Currently I consider JiD and Denzel Curry two goats of this generation.

Lupe can create quadruple
At one point, I was listening to "DROGAS WAVE" everyday for months. That project is INSANE.
"WAV files" is complex, somber, yet, hauntingly beautiful. "CRIPPLE" showed me how well Lupe can sing. I thought initially it was someone else who was singing, but it's still Lu. What can't that beautiful man do?
Nobody fukin with Lu.. hardly any.. he's in my top 5
Lupe is in my top 10 artists of all time and I’m mad people don’t recognize him enough
I could not stop laughing at this hahaha. This is the most Kanye answer ever lol
I love that Kanye shows so much love to chance and Lupe❤️❤️❤️
Lupe is really from the west side of Chicago from the mud… people just don’t stand by him because he would hurt the gangster image because he promotes being positive and an telling the truth
It's funny cause he's one of the most gangster ones from Chicago. Guy has connections to the streets
Right I remember he shut that silly Cheef Keef nonsense down on twitter by Praying for him.
Saved Drake at house of blues
Common is like that as well
@@RonaldJames-eo2hcCommon is 4CH I believe
Yall better understand, Chill took the fall for Lupe. Boy was moving birds
He was respectful to Chance, that’s dope
Lupe Fiasco = Best Thing to come out of Chicago Bottom Line,
My 3 favorite rappers…
Lupe Fiasco is the ONE emcee Kendrick don't want problems with. 😂
Lupe would rap circles around kendrick I don’t think it would be a contest
Slr 3.5 was a warmup and he demolished Royce
Listen to “mural” by Lupe.
That’s probably raps most lyrical song ever birthed.
Lupe dont fk around with that Pen.
Sometimes I think Lupe might just be the most talented rapper ever
Please don't ever disrespect Lupe like that ever again!
Lupe is the one! 😌🙏🏾
Lupe is 50 gangsta low key
@@kkindseyLupe is from the westside of Chicago and was really a part of that street shit. Look up his manager Chilly Mack and what happened to him. Ye and the rest of them know, that's why even the drill guys didn't play around with Lupe's name
Lupe all day, without a doubt
i remember some years ago Mos Def publically challenged all rappers to battle. wanted smoke with anyone who wanted it.....lupe said he'd do it......Mos quite literally said "I meant anyone but you"......been my GOAT since The Cool but solidified since SLR 2. Kendrick was gaining that possible GOAT status and Wasulu had to swiftly quell that shit in true Lupe fashion. Lupe was kendrick long before kendrick
The chance to be elevated is with spiritual recognition.
He ain’t wanna say it but we all know lupe is on a completely different plane than chance
Lupe is not a super computer he's an alien.
Remember Lupe fucking rapped over National Anthem by Radiohead.... No sane person can fucking do that in their lifetime no matter how good they are...
Lu runs circles around everyone at the table.
this was crazy to me growing up listening to lupe
Chance shouldn’t even been mentioned with Lupe.
lupe a lost generational talent THANK YOU LUPE FOR MURAL!!!!
Lupes supa gangsta lmaoo. Yes he iss.
Lupe fr gon pull up with Pokemon cards in one hand and smack you with the other. This sounds like a joke but I"m dead serious.
Lupe People, Ye Folks...Its a whole thing to this the respect is real AF.....
Lupe a vice lord or 4ch lol
Lupe Fiasco is the greatest lyricist ever. He’s better than anyone else Eminem included
The Cool album for me
Why we can't we have a Lupe show in SA ? I'll buy the ticket like now
Great to find a fellow South African who is a fan of Lupe Fiasco big up. #LuDaRuper
The way Ye never take shots is legendary
Lupe is actually from the hood... But nobody really looks at him like that. Ye is a suburb kid and recognizes that haha 😂
Kanye knows it's lupe. But for people personally generally he takes a shot because he doesn't want hard feelings
LUPE FIASCO❗️
LUPE 💯
Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Lupe, Hopsin, and a few others are golden examples of the previous generations goats. The Em, Ye, and Wayne era came before them. Currently I consider JiD and Denzel Curry two goats of this generation.
