Anyone with common sense knows spraying a car with aerosols is going to lead to a disaster - in both the finish and removal. Dip Dissolver and a pressure washer would have made quick work of this mess. Not at all a representation of what a proper dipped car looks, feels, or peels like.

I am with you on the plasti dip crap. Its good on tools but on a car looks like SH*T everytime i see a video with someone that does this to their car i want to smack them upside the head. Lol
In the event you don't want to go through the trouble of removing it, try spraying some mineral spirits on the entire surface and let it dry. It will re-liquefy the rubber a bit (or a lot, depending on how much you put on) and even out the finish. Despite all the downsides, that's one good thing about plastidip versus paint - you can re-do and repair a botched job very simply. Though ultimately it still won't look as good as paint.
I had my 10 yr. old son run the hair dryer while I peel the plastidip off my vehicle. I had it all off in about 2 hours. He totally earned that DQ blizzard that day. LOL
Scott, I have never seen a good reason to be making a good looking vehicle ugly on purpose. I agree with your statement about that: don't do that! Glad that you have a new computer.
Still better than the continental i bought at auction about 10 years ago. It was covered top to bottom in rubberized undercoating. It took 2 gallons of laquer thinner and about a week to get it off the car.
I bought a $200 98 Cherokee a few years ago. Had probably $180 worth of black plastidip on it. And done poorly. Only way to "fix" it was cover it up with more dip. Did a nice gray/blue 2 tone with it. And I drove it for 2 years and made a profit on it.

I was worried as to what I was going to find. lol
The square in the dip is like me with balls of electrical tape when wiring cars. If i find a ball of wrapped wires i know its not going to be be good lol
I repossessed a 2015 Porsche Macan S that was white covered with a black Plasti-dip. The surface was jagged and undulating with varying amounts of sheen and reflection. Ugh...
Must have been one of those “professional” jobs! 😂
Man Plasti dip is great if you never have to take it off lol. Great Videos Sir!
Maybe that is why they wrecked it, just to get rid of the dip. 😂
This is a good advertisement for Vinyl wrap
Oh boy popcorn time 🍿🍿
👍🏻
I love your content........Devastated that you don't have a clone ( or 2 ). Hope you're working on that.
Thanks, the clones are never as good as the original. lol
What's up guys, it's ya boi vehcor.
😃
Thanks! A welcome bit of knowledge. How would you compare the 'dip' you did with a 'wrap'? The car actually looked good (wheels too) - when you got done, of course. Thank you Scott! Sonny (CT)
Oddly satisfying

It is always working. 25,000 miles hauling cars last year.
Thats getting your monies worth. I do truely enjoy the videos. From the humor to the exposure of bad work of what you pay for from others. As always thanks a ton for sharing and taking the time to respond to us. Be safe and stay well.
