Let’s not forget, the “UA-cam” Throtl that we all see is only a small portion of the company as a whole. You seem to be forgetting that Throtl is also a very larger aftermarket automotive parts retailer… that takes a lot of time and manpower
I'm loving the S2000 build so far . But I have to point out that at 10:28 I seen you greased the input shaft which is great . But I also see that the slider for the release bearing is in rough shape and should have been replaced but at the bare minimum greased before installing the transmission. It's a simple replacement that is often overlooked with the S2k transmission but can be a pita and lead to a poor pedal feel .
The BoostedBoiz could have taken the engine out boosted it and back in during one video . Would it look as nice ? No but would it be just as fast . Yes
Do you guys think the deflection plate makes the intake more likely to suck in hot air? That’s a serious question. I’d be interested to see the IATs with it on and off.

That oil drain for the turbo is going to make the turbo dump/burn oil past the turbine side piston ring seal and into the hot exhaust, causing smoking. Turbocharging 101: you need to have your oil drain ABOVE the oil level in the oil pan since it is gravity drain. Having it plumbed to the bottom like that will cause the oil to back up into the turbo and get past the turbine wheel into the exhaust.
That is the first thing I spoke to Greddy about before purchasing the kit. This arrangement has been tested by Greddy themselves on their test mule and functions properly.
That turbo is going to have serious drain issues... You guys could of easily welded a bung higher on the pan. That thing is going to smoke like no other returning to the bottom of a full oil pan.
@@functiongarage - The Greddy test mule has been on the road for over a year with this configuration and has been used for street and track day driving. No issues in that time. All we can do is trust them.
@@mickeyandrade3435 I understand, from past experiences across a few different platforms (LS, 2J, 13 and 20B 4G etc)we've had issues with gravity drain when returning low on the pan. More with Precision, but had it with a Greddy on an Evo bottom mount before as well. Lower boost might not be an issue. I'm sure Trust stands behind their product.
@@functiongarage - I’ve also had countless similar experiences and even asked the manufacture themselves about this before selecting the kit. They’ve assured us that in this application they have had zero Ill affects utilizing this drain location. Being a reputable, top manufacturer in the space, all we can do is trust them.

Curious as to why the turbo oil drain is plumbed to the oil drain hole in the pan, that typically causes the oil to just sit in the line and not drain out prohibiting the cycle.
Couldn't be used with the Greddy turbo kit. And, Greddy makes a kit specifically for the turbo kit that we weren't initially aware of. The Mishi kit will get repurposed on the $300ZX.

The s2000 is my 1 of 2 dream honda's. I test drove a 2006 s2000 in 2006. Been wanting one ever since.

Pretty sure on a pull type clutch u have to make sure the throwout bearing is snapped onto the release fork

Black couplers please and a skunk2 ultra intake manifold a skunk2 throttle body and fuel rail
Intake isn't 50 State legal and Greddy uses blue couplers. If you win the car, you can change it. 🙂
