Cheers Steve, sorry about your budget mate. Hopefully, this video will save you from making all the mistakes I made along the way (there have been a few).
This is not only my favorite exhaust for the Interceptor 650, but makes it my favorite sounding bike out there. just amazing. love all the mods you did, looks fantastic, yet classy. well done!
The mods you have done look brilliant. I love the sound of the exhaust system. It's intoxicating to listen to. I'm just about to buy the same motorcycle but with the chrome tank. The engineers at Royal Enfield created quite the perfect template to create a work of art with this motorcycle. Thank you so much for posting the shopping list in the drop-down. Cheers 🥂

A couple viewers mentioned converting to *tubeless* - which gives quicker steering, less unsprung mass (more control over bumps), less spinning mass (faster acceleration and braking), gentler blowouts, and easier patching. For running tubeless, though, Woody's Wheel Works, maker of the Outex conversion kit, recommends that the rims have *safety beads* . Presumably, they keep the tire bead in place against the inside of the rim if an under-inflated tire hits a large bump hard. But Woody's says that it's hard to predict which model of bike has OEM rims with safety beads, and they haven't checked the Interceptor 650 to be sure.
For me, the best looking and sounding interceptor out there. All the mods you've done have a place while keeping the classic look. Still waiting for my Baker Express, but have a bunch of parts from Hitchcock's and Motone ready and waiting, thanks to this channel. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Julian. Keeping the classic look is important on this bike, glad you noticed that. Good luck with yours. Sounds like you’ve already got some quality parts on the way! Enjoy.

Wish I had just gone with Hitchcock's for the exhaust, they've always been reliable.
Fantastic video. I went ahead and purchased the same handlebar because yours looks so good. I went to install it yesterday and realized the stock bars have a drilled hole on top of the bar where the clutch lever pops in to. The LSL bar does not have a hole, meaning I can’t reassemble. My questions: How did you get around this? Are my LSL bars missing the predrilled hole? Any help is greatly appreciated. I was so close to finishing the bar swap when I hit this snag. Another great WM vid...thanks for taking the effort to make these for us. Personally I'd suggest considering a future mod to be a remap to get the most performance potential out of the intake and exhaust mods you've already made. Maybe a PowerTronic ECU and map switch? As another viewer has already mentioned.......I too would suggest a tubeless conversion (Outex). I'd also fit a set of Avon Roadriders over the psuedo-Pirellis. Lastly....if you're feeling really flush and wonga was no object........a Revelry Cycles 865cc big bore kit/CNC big valve head/performance cam.
Some great suggestions here. I think a Powertronic with Quickshifter is high-up on the list. OE rubber will be gone very soon too. I had never considered a tubeless conversion, but maybe I should. I'll check it out. Thanks.
@@WildlifeMoto Very interesting to hear you are thinking of a quickshifter. I'm all for improving performance, but I not convinced a bike of this type warrants one IMHO, as it's in no way a race rep or a track day wannabe. If you were looking to improve lap times by fractions of a second, fair enough.....but adding (an aftermarket) one to a road bike is not worth the potential for unreliability I feel, as it's well documented that they can be quite hard on gearboxes. Pro's v Con's, so to speak. However it would be very interesting to hear of your findings if you did decide to go ahead and fit one.

I really like the mods you have chosen both in terms of quality, and what they add to the bike. Given the quite significant investment against the purchase price of the bike, have you ever thought I wish I had taken all the money I had spent and bought something else?. I am only asking because as a person who spends a lot of money customising each of my bikes I have at times questioned if it was worth it when I calculated the final cost!.
I would fit gaiters, too. They look nerdy, but they preserve the fork seals from abrasive grit and scratches on the fork tubes, and... they look very retro.
Wow ! I love this bike 😎 ♥️ just curious how much invested with all the mods and everything ? I think I like this even better than the Triumph Street Twin... dam that exhaust sounds wicked !
The bakk side covers, will I pay customs to Uk address? Did they take long to arrive. I asked them if they are in stock or have to be made, I got no answer.
I am interested to know if the bike feels stable all the way to top speed, which I guess is about 100mph/166kmh. I'd like to see it do 120mph/200kmh, but I wonder if the bike is built to sustain those kind of speeds.
Hi! Great mods! I wanted to ask you if you have looked into hand guards? If yes, which ones would fit this bike? I'm thinking of making my bike a more scramblery one, so handguards would be a great addition.
They didn’t fit my bike. Apparently they are fine on most bikes, but there are some very small inconsistencies in the assembly manufacturing. This might be subtle changes in the casting or the thickness of the paint. Upshot is, they are too tight a fit, meaning they don’t spring back properly. I could file the inside of the assembly but I don’t want to do that.
What is the best way to convert this machine to tube less? Some people prefer to change from spoke wheels to alloys. Some people prefer to use outex tubeless kits. What about upgrade in tyres ? People can't able to find correct tyres for this machine.
I just recently saw a conversion kit out of India. This kit converts the existing stock wheels to allow tubeless operation. The method uses a material that looks something like caulking material. It seals the inside of the spoke nipples. It also uses the bands of rubber to go around the inner circumference of the wheel. Due to the curing process of the sealant, this takes about a day to complete. The UA-camr that posted this kit stated he was quite pleased with the results. Also that his wheels continue to hold air. I'm sorry I don't have the name of the kit
I've done an Outex tubeless conversion on a different model of bike (RnineT), and would do the same to the Interceptor without hesitation. I'd personally go with a set of Avon Roadriders.
Do consider making a long term review on the YSS upgrade. Also, have you considered going tubeless for the tyres? The Pirellis that come stock are tubeless though, but I meant adding alloys or tubeless spokes maybe? Although I feel alloys will ruin the design aesthetically. A 140 or 150 section on the rear will look even better however. :)
Why go for wider tyres when it handles as well as it does… Those guys at Bruntinthorpe know what they're doing. Wider tyres are more for cruisers… If you want a cruiser, RE have one on the way. Racers use the narrowest section they can get away with for the power/brakes/cornering forces expected… just to get better steering. Why fuck up something that's been set up right?
Coming back to the video, you mentioned that you're looking for a better alternative to the bash plate you have at the time of the video. Have you tried the one from Royal Enfield itself. In my opinion it works okay. Just not available in black. 😔 But I guess it can be painted. 😊

Thank you 👍
Best sounding bike ever :)
Where is the link for the rizomo cylinder?
Much appreciated content 👍👍
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.
Which LSL SuperBike handlebars did you use? Can't seem to match the image up with something on lsl-online.
pls tell total cost of these mods.thanks
Which model rizoma brake fluid cylinder did you use?
What was total cost in all upgrade parts?
So price list? I'm thinking you doubled the cost of the bike!
Can you try Dimsport RapidBike Evo ecu? It has auto adaptive feature and fueling should be perfect.
Did you get a longer than standard venhill clutch cable (as you changed the bars)?
I believe it’s the same length as the stock.
Were you able to keep stock cables when adding the up and over risers? Mine seem too short? Cheers...
I never tried them with the stock bars. They are too short with the LSL bars.
How much is the spend? So far👏🏻😢
were i can find those valve cap ?
What’s the total spend though?
With the headers and booster plug how much power are you squeezing out ?
I've not tested it. Bike feels a lot smoother and free revving now. Not sure if I have much more real world power as a result.
So how much have you spent £££££ buying all those bits ? Everything in total?
Do you happen to know a booster plug existing for the Euro5 as well?
I don't see why not. Give Tec a shout, they sell them and should have the latest info.
Please tell us all the total cost of all the mods…..
I purchased the same model... what's the total investment in all these items ?
Hi, probably around £3k in total.
Yes, i will talk more about the YSS set up in future videos. I won't be going with a tubeless set-up on this bike (but I will change the rubber soon)
@@chrisgraham5186 Agree, tyre profile is good. I'd only look at changing the compound.
@@WildlifeMoto - When my Pirelli wore out, I fitted an Avon. Good tyre. Suits the bike and works well with the stock front still in place.
@@chrisgraham5186 This upgrade would obviously be more from an aesthetic standpoint than performance.
Where did you find the front mudguard bracket please?
Hey Paul. It’s from BAAK motorcycles in France.
Coming back to the video, you mentioned that you're looking for a better alternative to the bash plate you have at the time of the video. Have you tried the one from Royal Enfield itself. In my opinion it works okay. Just not available in black. 😔 But I guess it can be painted. 😊
I;ve just installed a plate from Hitchcocks. Video on the way soon :)
@@WildlifeMoto Will be waiting for it. 😊
osam man i m thinking from where i can fnd the Bibrea disk pads in India
I really want this bike but i just freshly graduated and my job starts next year, hope i can own it soon
Congratulations on graduating. Get it 🚀
@@WildlifeMoto thank you so much
Hy, what is your opinion about Domino throttle on this bike???
Thanks David
Love it! Throw in the white cam (the fast one) and it feels a lot more responsive.
@@WildlifeMoto Thanks for the answer
Love it 😍
Why royal Enfield is delaying giving tubeless tyres and alloy wheels
The next update to RE's 650cc models will feature tubeless tires and allow wheels.
Why there is white smoke while revving the engine?
Engine stone cold and about -2 outside at the time. It stops very quickly.
Hey you missed black tank linings which you added to your bike
Oh yes, but that’s two strips of black electrical tape. I guess that counts. Thanks for spotting.
