Your next wrap up should be either in order of places that you would want to live in or if you wanna get crazy and don’t want to tell us over again about the books, only talk about the setting of the book and try to convince people to read it because of that alone
i like this new wrap up format. i usually skip these videos because i watch all your vlogs but i was engaged all the way through this one. always great to have an extra kayla video to watch!
I could listen to you talk about books all day. There’s just something about the way you describe the book and your feelings. You are my fave booktuber for real. I follow a few and no one does it like you.🎉
Perfect change of pace, makes the video more engaging. I usually use wrap ups as background noise because of how redundant they are but this changes things
I always watch these wrap ups but I love this format! Especially having time dedicated for in depth thoughts of those we did not hear about. Looking forward towards more of these!
Amazing video (as usual)!! I think the new format was a great idea! I also loved you talking about these books! I think you hit such a good balance of telling us what they were (and weren't) about and what stood out to you, but without any spoilers. Very nice!
I love this new format! I want to watch each and every one of your videos because the content is always top notch but sometimes the wraps got a little repetitive. Very happy to hear you talk about books you read outside the vlogs just for the love of reading 😍
Echoing everyone else to say that I love this new format, enjoyed hearing about the couple of books you haven’t talked about (adding The Butcher of the Forest and The Message to my TBR) and getting a refresher of the others and their ratings 😊❤️
I love the new format for the monthly wrap up! I think it will also be motivating to have books you pick for just personal pleasure (not for video concepts). ❤❤❤
So glad you liked The Memoirs of Miss Chief Eagle Testickle! I highly recommend flipping through the physical book if you see it, because there are tons of full colour paintings included. (That's why it's so pricey.) Love the new format, too!
I like the new format! I also really enjoyed Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear. Nadya's real world experience was really eye-opening and well written as you said, but I also freaking loved the talking turtles in her doorway world 😂
I love this new format!! I also gave Butcher of the Forest 4,5 stars. So happy you read that since it seems like nobody talks about it. Can't wait to read more from that author 🤩
Omg Kayla as a Quinn Hughes lover. I love the Quinn mention! I know exactly what you’re talking about. I don’t think there was a specific moment but it looked like he pulled something.
I'm so happy you liked Butcher of the Forest! Her dystopian series is very different plot wise, but the writing is just as haunting and beautiful. I'm excited to read the new Wayward Children, I adore them 💗
Oh my god, I “ugh”ed in exact unison with you at 13:59. As a US citizen, a 2nd round of Donald Trump really is the most ugh inducing thing I could think of right now… ugh.
Premee Mohamed became a new favourite author for me in 2024!! I started with _And What Can We Offer You to Tonight_ and absolutely loved it. I think you'd really like the _Annual Migration of Clouds_ novella series (finale comes out this year); iirc it's set in a dystopia but in Canada. Honestly the only things I haven't vibed with from her so far or her earlier, Lovecraftian books. (I ended up reading 8 things from her last year and 1 so far in 2025)
i have a request ✨ Light-hearted or generally lighter-ish recommendations? my usual taste is bleak and depressing, but i can't sustain that this year as an american lol. i know you're also in your lighter hearted era, so maybe you can share with us some recs. also, i find it harder to find adult light-hearted instead of ya. i still want an adult story with depth, but just not sooo bleak or tragic... ❤
Have you read Kate Alice Marshall's YA Horror? I really love those books (especially _These Fleeting Shadows_ which is the closest I've come to Knives Out in book form, or _Rules for Vanishing_ which has every horror trope imaginable). But I haven't really liked her Adult Thrillers. They're very well-suited to BOTM, but not my vibe at all. (the first one was okay, kinda reminded me of the movie "Horns." but I've liked both subsequent ones less than the one before)
Haha no I don't think I've even implemented that as of yet..January's TBR is always out of my control because I'm doing a video series where I don't choose my own reads. I'm just getting lucky maybe, last January was also a 3.7 and it tends to be one of the best reading months of the year overall 😉
As someone who doesn’t care much for wrap ups I love this new format! Very watchable.

This is such a good idea!
I love this revamped format for the monthly wrap-ups!! I'm excited to see how it translates to the quarterly wrap up too!
I really like this new format!

Loving the new wrap up structure! I am even more energized to get back into The Message.
I LOVE this new format 😍 I love statistics so quaterly och yearly wrap ups are my favourites and now it will be monthly 😃
Amazing video (as usual)!! I think the new format was a great idea! I also loved you talking about these books! I think you hit such a good balance of telling us what they were (and weren't) about and what stood out to you, but without any spoilers. Very nice!

*so relaxing to watch as I get ready for bed!*
I love this new format! It’s so fun and informative 🥰 makes me more inclined to pick up some books

Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear is my favorite in the series so far! I loved it.
I love the new format! 'The message' sounds amazing!
so happy you found a way to do wrap ups that works better for you, i love it!!
I love watching this format a lot more than the old format! Thank you for innovating 😊
love this new format & this made me so excited to read adrift in currents clean and clear :,)
Loved the new wrap up style. So happy the year started with better ratings. It'll only get better 😊.
Love the new format!
I just started reading Witchcraft for Wayward Girls because of you! I’m not usually into books set before the 2000s, but I’m really loving it!
Love this new format. I don’t usually watch wrap ups because they feel redundant, but this is much more interesting to me.
i also gave adrift in currents clean and clear four stars! im also really excited to get to elegy for the undead eventually. loving the new format
Love how you found a new way to do wrap ups - really like the pairing with the quarterly ones! Yey!

Big thumbs up for the new format of the wrap up 😊
Thanks for walking us through the statistics!
The Message is great! I really like the new format
I much preferred this wrap up! So good!
Oh my god, I “ugh”ed in exact unison with you at 13:59. As a US citizen, a 2nd round of Donald Trump really is the most ugh inducing thing I could think of right now… ugh.
i like the format!

Love your frog & toad sweatshirt
i have a request ✨

Yesss, I love the book reviews!
Lets go!
Omg I’ve never clicked faster
What an amazing jumper.

Do you feel your goal of reading books you think you’ll like is having an impact on your ratings and enjoyment??

Gagne = Gone-yay. :)
Did you ever end up reading that Midnight on Beacon Street one? I bought it too and I haven’t seen anyone talk about it
YOUR SWEATER??? omg it's the best thing i've ever seen. where can i get one?
Where did you get your sweater? It’s so adorable, I need it!
Also love this wrap up format!
Love the format but really confused about the background noise. Do you have an ocean in your room? 🙃
Cool
Hiiii❤
First
Did you say testicle ?
