That's DICE. They have done that consistently for well over a decade now. They actually ask the community what they want, then do the complete opposite, or something completely different that no one asked for. They do this every time. I have a completionist Xbox profile (only 2 games on it are not 100%ed), and I tried to 100% the first Dying Light… such a massive mistake. One of the achievements/trophies was DLC, requiring you to complete stupid time trials, and it’s difficult because the parkour and zip-lining controls are inconsistent and at times, bad. You can do the DLC with other players, but then when you get to the end everyone has to kill each other, so only one person can win. Besides the inconsistent movement system and not being able to find anyone that wanted to do that DLC, I gave up on trying to complete it. Dying Light and Monster Hunter: World are the only games not completed on my account (MHW came out with the Iceborne DLC after, and I never bothered going back because of how repetitive and stupid the achievements are). For reference, I have the entire main Resident Evil Xbox catalog 100%ed on the account (RE0, RE1, RE2R, RE3R, RE4-8, RE Revelations 1 & 2), on top of doing other massive games like Gears 4 (which turned me off of the franchise), so I’m fine with completing games that require dedication, but Dying Light… fuck that. Going for 100% made me hate the game. I expect Dying Light 2 will be a similar story, where some of the achievements/trophies are tied around really asshole-developer things.
In regards to 2042 Reddit as far as members saw there was no developer threats or harassment and if someone did it was rare and they got flagged and banned immediately. DICE is upset because people expect updates and want to know what's going on or being worked on. It's not a case of harassment it's a case of Dice crying wolf because people hate the game.
Exactly this. I frequent the Reddit thread regularly and pretty much all I see are people venting their frustrations at the issues the game has, not slinging insults or personak threats.
The worst thing about NFT's is the fact that it's essentially an art theft scheme. For an artist that might be the worst thing to happen. Like how are we even supposed to defend against that, if a multi-million/billion company decides to steal our work, there is nothing we can do. I pray that some kind of law is getting pushed out that protects artists and their creations from this level of industrialized art theft scheme.
The longest single player game I've played was Borderlands 3, I've spent about 400+ hours playing it, I didn't have a job back then so my daily routine was basically Playing BL3 - Lunch - Playing BL3 - Dinner - Playing BL3 - Sleep and repeat for an entire month. I can imagine Dying Light 2 ruining a lot of completionists' daily routines
Jesus, how many times did you replay the Story? I played about 100 hours Co Op with my Bro, and I'm sure he has many many more since he Co Opped with his friend and had multiple accounts. Telle the DLC was out at least, cause we played through the DLC only once and a half.
Personally, I can't wait for PSVR2. Specs speaking, it is slightly superior to the Valve Index and the fact it requires only one wire compared to the original, I think it's a big improvement. I don't care about that one wire where you can setup a little something. They could of go wireless but that would mean to stream from the console to the headset and it could result in loss of visual quality.
@Jeric White It's still early to criticize the games for it. It is still relatively new. Also, I don't jump to conclusion saying that HZD will be a simple ride. They barely show anything so it could be anything.
I’ve put 2,378 hours into RDO… that’s nuts, and so sad the game has died because of lack of interest from Rockstar. They really did toss out a second potential cash-making machine, if they had just given it even half the attention GTA has.
I agree. I find RDO to be much more engaging and atmospheric than GTAO. I just think there is a disconnect between the monetization because I have never heard anyone actually buy gold from the store. Shark cards, however, are bought very frequently.
I am so pumped for dying light 2, I’m still having a blast with the first one as it’s still being updated to this day. It may be just another zombie game.. but Techland seems to really care about their game. This 500 hour rumor just brings that hype to an all time high, and that’s something I haven’t felt in years.
@@XxHUNT3RN4T0RxX The signs are all there. Weve yet to see footage of the game on base last gen consoles, as well as all the issues it had during developement
Dying Light 2 will absolutely not be 500 hours of content. It'll be 500 hours just as Cyberpunk was the greatest game of all time and Halo Infinite's store is fairly priced. Developers need to get a goddamn grip.
@@lynncantrell2782 this feels like a troll, please tell me I’m right lol. What has modern video games done that actually makes you believe a marketing campaign?

Bf 2042 really doesn't have that spark from other bf games. Dice really let the community down and then to have the audacity to get mad at fan's of the franchise for all the backlash. Really DICE?! 😒
500 hundred hours of what? Main story or everything altogether. It is always interesting to see what developers consider to be a part of first-time play through.
Wireless VR actually works pretty good with PC streaming to Quest 2. The only issue would be needed a good connection between the two. But you would most likely be next to your PS5 anyways so as long as the console is able to transmit the signal itself without the use of a router then it would be good. As long as they aren't using the same signal as remote play then it will be fine, sometimes being next to my Ps4 while trying to remote play to my vita wouldn't keep cutting out. Going through my router rather than direct ended up being the better option in most cases for me
Everquest is my most time played, Titanfall 2 has about 400+, Titanfall 1 had close to that. Morrowind, Skyrim, Oblivion, New Vegas, Zelda Botw, have a ton of time too.
you don't need a cable to play oculus quest 2. The wireless is quite good! It connects via wifi but you do need a 5g router on the same network as your pc, but it's pretty fantastic.
VR needs to stop focusing on resolution and work on controllers first, too many of them have massive fail points in their controllers and they are never cheap to replace. I agree FoV and refresh rate are more important and by constantly upping the res all they are doing is make it harder to run the games well.
I've definitely hit 500 hrs in Skyrim and Oblivion. Haven't even played Oblivion in years but I would pull all nighters constantly in middle school to play it.
"E3 Cancelled" *GOOD, because last year's E3 was horrendous, aside from the Nintendo showcase.* Then again, its going to be online again, which means more Woke Cringe and less showing the games, this is why I like TGS more.
500 hours? I'm glad I kicked my old completionist habit years ago because I seem to be getting less patient as I get older. After about 30-40 hours I'm ready to move on to another game unless I'm playing something I _really_ enjoy.

Quest 2 is the killer now. 120hz, wireless from pc with latest beta or virtual desktop app and pretty decent tracking. Can play simpler games on its own or really good looking ones with pc. Also can always beat saber on toilet or on travels. Really good for demoing vr to people while visiting them.
@@1oftheben798 what? Just setup play area sitting on toilet or map entire house as play area and you can beat saber everywhere. Such great system with camera based tracking.
Hey Joe, you can synchro your Oculus Quest 2 with PC, and play PCVR games like HalfLife Alyx or Skyrim in wireless VR, also you can buy motion sensors for legs from KatVR for about 150$ and if callibrate it right, you are the closest you can be to really free VR experience.
Never trusted Ubisoft. I’ll always wait for the games they release to be $20 after a couple months. I think they should start making all the things they release to be free or at most $10 so more people will play. $60-$70 just ain’t gonna cut it for a 25% finished game.
@@Rynn21 Nice I gave up on them around AC4. I think they miss the point of these games now. I’m trying to play as an assassin (not a pirate, spartan or a viking) plenty of other games I can play if I want that experience. I want them to reboot the franchise & take it back to its roots.
For VR, I'm intrigued with the idea that the best rendering is done where you're eyes are focused and peripheral vision may be lower res, etc to make it so that processing power is saved for your sight line as opposed to the whole screen.
I'm pretty sure this is a game implementation thing not Hardware, There are plenty of games that do this already on the Quest 2 to save its limit resources... Accurate Syncronous SpaceWarp is another thing that will hugely important but the PSVR seems to do it pretty well already so not much to worry about there
PSVR 2 could be cordless and use the consoles gpu. they'd just need to figure out how to stream it to the hmd e.g. wifi6. Its how I play steamvr games on my quest2 cordless

@@snakejones464 in all honesty I don’t care about ape art NFTs. Those truly have no value to me. Maybe to others they do but not me. But add the concept of NFTs to a video game, then there is value. But I can agree that Ubisoft using NFTs is not the greatest thing.
@@snakejones464 Most NFTs are not just pictures. Some NFTs like the Blockhead NFTs give NFTs a whole new meaning. People with a blockhead will generate passive income. Someone needs to show Joe the Quest 2 with wireless VR. I can play Half Life Alyx at 5K internal render resolution 120Hz without a single dropped frame and no cord. Its honestly insane!!! Just the FOV is lacking. Also, this PSVR2 does look awesome for the specs. If its under $500 its a Quest 2 killer. I expect the wireless version will come later on. Remember the PS5 has a front USBC port. If that is USB4 it has 40Gbps connection. With a 5GHz wireless dongle it should be perfect for wireless VR.
Saying the same.. the Quest2 via Virtual Desktop over Wifi6 is fantastic for wireless PC VR gaming. the only drawback I have is the battery drain using full wireless.
@@LazureusFalcone very true, I can play around 2.5 - 3 hours of HLA wireless before I hit 10% and need to charge. But that is fine because by that time I start sweating around my face so I need to take a break anyway.
The problem is that VR games aren't becoming mainline anytime soon, so spending this much on quest 2 doesn't seem viable to most middle class people The psvr has to be $400 just like psvr 1 attract more audience and give the much needed push to VR games, if they go above this price point VR will stay a gimmick for long The PSVR 1 barely competes with other VR's, it was just a taste to what VR is to general audience psvr 2 needs to be more

Joe, a pc for VR + decent headset is currently gonna cost you a few thousand dollars... The playstation thing if priced ok, is going to be a fraction of what PC VR costs
1k gets you a good enough pc, well except for the gpu shortage. so PCVR is 1500 at most MSRP. PS5 is 500 so if they can keep PSVR2 below 500 then it’ll compete with quest 2 but is definitely not a fraction of the cost like youre implying
@@tobymacdonald5893 if it only competes with the quest 2 then the quest 2 is a fraction of the sad 1k pc. You could get away with 1500 for the pc only if buying used. Then you need to include the headset that is 500 and the base stations that are 160 * 2 and the controllers that are 300 So 1500 + 500 + 320 + 300 = thousands of dollars. Vs 500 for plastation and lets say oj is right, 600 for the headset .. you do not even get the pc for the combined cost
@@radovanobal3842 some of your questions info is wrong bud. For 1K you can easily make a PC that can do VR. PC VR headsets come in bundles so you don't have to buy it separately.
I want the game to be long sick of games that are complete in a day
In regards to 2042 Reddit as far as members saw there was no developer threats or harassment and if someone did it was rare and they got flagged and banned immediately.
That was me with BL2.
@@janky477 I've played like 4 campaigns, one for each of the characters, a lot of it is also just grinding for the exact weapon that I want
Personally, I can't wait for PSVR2. Specs speaking, it is slightly superior to the Valve Index and the fact it requires only one wire compared to the original, I think it's a big improvement. I don't care about that one wire where you can setup a little something. They could of go wireless but that would mean to stream from the console to the headset and it could result in loss of visual quality.
performance is what's important. We will see.

The online mode from the first game was way better + the zombie mode. Just pure gold
I agree. I find RDO to be much more engaging and atmospheric than GTAO. I just think there is a disconnect between the monetization because I have never heard anyone actually buy gold from the store. Shark cards, however, are bought very frequently.
But there’s significantly less money making potential in rdo compared to gta5. Red dead is kind of restricted with the kind of stuff they can do.
I am so pumped for dying light 2, I’m still having a blast with the first one as it’s still being updated to this day. It may be just another zombie game.. but Techland seems to really care about their game. This 500 hour rumor just brings that hype to an all time high, and that’s something I haven’t felt in years.
It's the best zombie game ever made

Wireless VR actually works pretty good with PC streaming to Quest 2. The only issue would be needed a good connection between the two. But you would most likely be next to your PS5 anyways so as long as the console is able to transmit the signal itself without the use of a router then it would be good. As long as they aren't using the same signal as remote play then it will be fine, sometimes being next to my Ps4 while trying to remote play to my vita wouldn't keep cutting out. Going through my router rather than direct ended up being the better option in most cases for me

you don't need a cable to play oculus quest 2. The wireless is quite good! It connects via wifi but you do need a 5g router on the same network as your pc, but it's pretty fantastic.
I feel like VR technology needs to focus mainly on increasing that FOV first, because nobody likes having tunnel vision.
You can 100% can play the Quest 2 without a cable wifi PCVR works great virtual desktop or Airlink

I’m still going to buy Dying Light 2. For the great gameplay and interesting narrative paths.

And yes, I’m hoping it’s good too but I’m not gonna tell others it’s great until it comes out and I can actually be certain of that recommendation.
The gameplay theyve shown looks promising. Were buying it on launch. Dying light 1 was amazing.
@Jeric White I see many people buying this on launch . The content in the game is crazy from what the devs have said. I get were you're coming from . Yet when you buy games you can get a refund within 1 hour or 2. Plus the content and how much the kept updating the 1st game. I have high Hope's.
PSVR2 needs the cable so you can have the BEST experience. Quest 2 has compression when wireless.

Never trusted Ubisoft. I’ll always wait for the games they release to be $20 after a couple months. I think they should start making all the things they release to be free or at most $10 so more people will play. $60-$70 just ain’t gonna cut it for a 25% finished game.

19:34 NFT is not just a picture, it’s basically digital property. So If I had an nft and you copy it and turn it into your desktop background and for whatever reason I manage to find out. @@snakejones464 Most NFTs are not just pictures. Some NFTs like the Blockhead NFTs give NFTs a whole new meaning. People with a blockhead will generate passive income. The currency you get will be on the crypto market and can be used for the game Blockworld PvP and the NFT is featured as your playable character. That sound like something that hold value to me
Someone needs to show Joe the Quest 2 with wireless VR.
The problem is that VR games aren't becoming mainline anytime soon, so spending this much on quest 2 doesn't seem viable to most middle class people

Then you need to include the headset that is 500 and the base stations that are 160 * 2 and the controllers that are 300
So 1500 + 500 + 320 + 300 = thousands of dollars.
