Love your version and this is my fave soup. I have made this with shrimp and also with chicken, but your way with the lovely chicken meatballs is wonderful.
I just made this and it turned out AMAZING! I love love love the chicken meatball twist because I was never a big fan of rubbery boiled chicken slices in my Tom Kha Gai. I ordered fresh kaffir lime leaves on Etsy since I couldn't find them in my local asian market. Thank you Marion! DELISH!
I’ve been wanting to cook more chicken recipes other than baked chicken breast or fried chicken. So those chicken meat balls would be great with just rice too hahah! I think this is my favorite Thai soup because it has coconut milk. I love coconut milk and mushrooms haha
That looks so good! I love Tom kha gai soup. This recipe is even better, because I don't have to cut the chicken, and love the coriander! Can't wait to buy some minced chicken to make this. Thanks for the recipe!
Just got done with lunch made this for lunch today, unfortunately I could not find lemongrass and kafir lime leaves but even without those ingredients this soup was lip smacking delicious..... thank you for this easy wonderful recipe
I made this for my son the other day and wow it was awesome, I had leftover chicken mixture so I decided to stirfry it and added a couple of eggs I then made wraps for his lunch it was a winner thanks Marion
I have always wanted to make this! And I thought your chicken meatballs sounded like a really cool addition! Made it tonight and it was AMAZING!!!! You would not believe the lengths I went to to find galangal and still came up empty handed. I was going to substitute a little ginger but forgot that too! 🤦♂️ Still loved the flavors!!! Love all your videos!
I used gluten free bread crumbs meatballs…they were so juicy and tender…you’re a sensuous cook and me too…my favorite soup right now…the addition of sliced chicken breast is always dry…the meatballs were great🎉Congratulation’s on your fine channel
I made this for the first time and my gosh it took me right back to the streets of Thailand. Fabulous recipe, easy to follow and bursting with flavor. Thanks to your channel we can now kiss those pricey and watered down Thai restaurants goodbye!
I find curdling depends on the brand of the coconut milk. Aroy-D has never curdled on me. Also, adding the lime (or any kind of acid) last and with the heat off (like you did) prevents curdling as well.
I wanted to make this recipe so bad but couldn't find galangal when I finally found it , the smallest piece was $5 dls , I didn't know was that expensive , and wasn't even the 5 cm Marion says it needs for the recipe ,Asian markets in Phoenix are expensive . Anyways I still want to try . My 10 year old daughter made today your American rice, we made also this week some other chicken recipes and we really enjoyed them. Thank you for your channel and your recipes. 😁😀 adios.
Really love the look of that Marion, but the weather here ATM is awefully hot. Don't really know weather I could eat soup just now. But will save it and cook when weather is cooler
I've followed your chicken bite size recipe! It turned out great! So creamy even it curdled! lol! I had left overs. Should I add more lime juice to it when eating again?
Impressive cooking and marvelous tips for viewer great job . If I may add for sourness tamarin paste will give somewhat smoothness to the soup then lime juice will give a tangy sourness that would be how I cook this dish.
kaffir leaf r hard to find here or its very pricey 99.00USD per lb! v dig "tom yum so much!" so we planted the tree in our back yard!! never tried your version/recipe, must make it asap!! thanks again lovely chef Marion : )
if i were to add chicken meat (with bone or boneless) would i have to marinade them first with any of the ingredients you mixed in with the chicken balls?
I love Tom Kha Gai soup, but I'm usually not huge on mushrooms. Most of the time when I order it from local Thai places, it has onions or shallots. So I'm thinking of replacing the mushrooms for maybe some asian shallots or onions
Olá, adoro a culinária asiática. Abs.
You should try making ไก่ต้มขมิ้น (Chicken Stew with Turmeric). It's like Tom Yum Kai + tumeric. but sourness is from dried Garcinia instead of lime or Kaffir lime. It's Southern Thai clear soup. And you won't be able to stop slurping it.
I love coconut Thai soups: Gordon Ramsay, certainly not as expert as Marion in Thai cooking, starts the meatballs in a pan and surrounds them with spice, then builds the soup up around them.
I tried this at home today, super delicious! I'm addicted to your channel!
I had no idea coconut milk could curdle.
This dish looks amazing. I'm definitely making this for my family!
There is a strain of serenity in this recipe. My only question is whether I can have it with rice or should I pair it with butter toasted breads?
Rice
Love your version and this is my fave soup. I have made this with shrimp and also with chicken, but your way with the lovely chicken meatballs is wonderful.

You honestly make really nice videos! 😊 Quick one for you, any substitutes for Galangal and kaffir leaves?
Superb....

Nice
What can you serve with the lime meat ball soup with
This may sound like a stupid question. I'm new to cooking. Is it okay to not wash the mushrooms and lemongrass since we boil them anyway?
Rambo Ragam I’ve heard different thoughts on that. Some say rinse and others say wipe with damp towel. It’s hard for me to not rinse them.
And no, it’s not a stupid question at all!!
I rinse everything. even if you boil them, there might be dirt on the surface of the mushrooms and the lemongrass.
I want to learn many dish
some 'tom ka gai!' : )

Westerners love their searing then deglazing lol
Wow 🤩🤩😍 You look beautiful with your hair down
Can I do this with prawn balls?
I realise I comment everywhere. Unsure whether it’s spam or just lots of love. #stillwaitingforcoconutsiracha #justiceforvireak
Vireak Chhoeung It’s always a pleasure hearing from you Vireak!! 😊😊😊🙌🙌🙌
Hi chef, your eyes are so beautiful
It's called ต้มข่าไก่
Can we do without balling?
Hi
Seems like not enough time and temp to get chicken cooked thru...
That must be was Lisa Manoban food when she was a kid. I guess 🤔
#CilantroIsLife
Love Tom ka gay
What if the meat ball become raw from inside
