Heroes have always been my favorite archetype and I love that they started as a fun but ultimately inferior deck to now being able to go up against the best strategies of the current meta. We've come a long way from the days of Skyscraper and Avian.
9:20 i always revive the malicious from the gy at the end just to not draw it in the next turn because of how easy is to draw your 1-offs playing heros lol. I started learning heros with jaden br and this video just makes it easier to follow what to do with heros in general, appreciate the effort while making this video. Even tho they’re not considered worth the investment or a joke for the community this deck is pretty fun to play and win with.
Since we’re having Wake Up who can Special Summon any 1 Warrior monster from hand or Deck, why do I see many players pretending he can only SS “HERO” monsters? Xeno lock on HERO does not apply on opponent’s turn, which means player could pop Wake Up with DPE on their opponent’s turn to SS any powerful non-“HERO” Warrior that can react and counter some strategies like Great Shogun Shien to counter Spell/Trap or the UA monsters that can negate effects like Player Manager and Perfect Ace. These toolbox techs I have not seen even being suggested by our HERO YT players which I think could have raise the deck’s flexibility and ceiling substantially just like what Mannequin Cat did to Spright.
This is actually not as strong as it seems in practice and has already been tested and has shown to be somewhat bad, because targets would require bricks in the maindeck that do nothing on a Hero hand, you'd have to waste DPE's pop effect on your opponents turn to trigger, which means your only board presence is simply just what you summon off of the pop, and shadow mist is already an extremely strong summon target which let's heroes go into Dark Law. Overall it's just not very good to try to play anything else other than what Heroes already have as targets.
@@Rhapsodyizz and its not good either to Summon Dark Law during Kashtira format. I cant imagine anyone who plays multiple non-“HERO” targets for Wake Up, its just bad. That depends heavily on the match-ups and side decks. If u cant handle running a single “brick” in a 40-card deck, even if the payoff is an omni-negate like UA Perfect Ace, then its really up to u. I personally dont see a problem running it. I mean, ppl running Spirit of Neos and EN Shuffle and Cross Keeper which are bad extenders and ended up clogging ur hand horribly if u dont have an “Elemental Hero” line, so clearly lots of ppl dont have problems wit running multiple bricks in their deck. Wake Up also can summon the Warrior target from hand as well so it doesnt become useless in hand like Increase, which some ppl play 2 btw, risking drawing into one of them. How impactful are these non-“HERO” targets, like I said, depends on the match. Currently I dont see a Wake Up target that can be remotely described as “game-winning”. If the payoff is not worth it in ur mind then I concur, dont pop Wake Up during opp turn, but on the issues of “brick” I dont agree wit ur explanations, since also an omni-negate, “Swordsoul Blackout” or Skill Drain during opp turn are hard to ignore.
It's amazing how much this card provides for hero. New otk card, combo enabler, and most importantly, anti nibiru. Now we wait for the flame wingman retrain
Always wanted to play Hero but kept getting told it wasn't worth the investment. But after seeing this and actually being given clear instructions of how plays work, I'll definitely try giving them a shot now.
This was great I love you how you explained everything so well from your deck to how to play thank you I would love to see more like these in the future maybe with other archetypes.
I like to use evil heroes mainly for Malicious Bane since he can't be destroyed by battle or card effects, which is a good thing to have when your opponent plays Raigeki or lightning Storm and that it can get rid of your opponents' monsters while gaining atk in the process
Evil HERO Dark Gaia is a good card to have if you do run into Nibiru. I’ve always heard jokes about Nib being a HERO card with how it just accumulates ATK/DEF while Dark Gaia does the same thing
Slight correction but an important one. Wake Up’s floating effect is actually mandatory and you need to declare it cl1 before DPE when they both float.
Just noticed that the Japanese text for Wake Up had the special summon effect as optional, but as written on the TCG card it's mandatory... not that it changes the combo much but DPE is forced to chainblock it with its revival.
@@Creepy___ Right, but as he says, "assuming they know how heroes work now, they nibiru here." If they don’t nibiru early, then you continue towards the wake up dpe line and attempt to enter end phase, which would play around nibiru.
You can chain the combo to Nibiru, and everything is removed from the field before Nibiru tributes. That’s why. Nib chain link 1, DPE chain link 2, DPE pops itself and Wake Up, then Nib resolves. So then you continue with your combo as usual because Wake Up and DPE we’re still destroyed by card effect and the opponents Nibiru is now used.
I'd still want to see more e hero cards to be able to play a deck without all the destiny hero and vision hero cards (or evil hero although most people seem to have cut the malicious bane package nowadays). Deck still is mostly dark hero cards with a sprinkling of others rather than a true mix of all the elements/attributes.
Would it be worth it to add en shuffle to this, since it’s also a reliable way to pull out a shadow mist from the deck, after searching with a stratos or something?
its a consideration, but EN Shuffle is kind of not the greatest right now as it requires specific set up. It'd be better if we had the counter trap in the TCG to use with Spirit, but oh well.

Also INST ONCE PER TURN so if have 3 and pop them you get 3 Warrior on field
General Raiho is another good target! It’s also a good water target for absolute.
@@HungNguyen-qr7bt if you care about skill drain you can try to make plasma by popping wake up to summon stratos
Tiny little note:
You cannot chain block DPE with Wake Up
it's effect to summon from hand or deck is mandatory, so it has to be cl1

Honestly i say go for it .its a pretty fun deck that is decent competent and isnt incredibly expensive at this moment
Oh I love the hero deck, it’s literally my favorite deck ever, sure it’s a bit predictable and very linear, but it’s super fun no less

Yeah I’ve it was the same thing as well for a card like Ecclesia being mandatory to add back from GY too
I've been playing Heroes for years, and I can proudly say I learned something
and imagine once E HERO Flame Wingman Infernal Range is added. It makes Wake Up essential.
Faris actovates on normal and soecial so you caj actually search him off of cross crusader and tribute cross to get do visions and get an extra body.
I would really like to see a Hero player opening with triple Faris and double Increase as his starting hand someday ^^ That would be so damn funny.
I have had it happen I just laid out my hand to my opponent and laughed
@@luxord7894 this is just a normal day in playing HERO for me. I've been labbing playing HERO without V-HEROes because it happens to me that often 😭
My closest hand to that was 2 increase 2 imperm and 1 ash.i showed my hand to the opponent and went to game 2
I would say to add a little bit of Evil HERO into the deck just to use Nibiru as a fusion material for Evil HERO Dark Gaia
My morning alarm is now Law saying “wake up” on loop

@@TheLawYGO A destiny HERO malicious link? 🤔
We're getting another HERO fusion card in June FYI
Man that background music from the combo section sounds like something from Tekken 6
Master duel hoed me and I couldn't special summon plasma from the wake up when it's destroyed effect
Still think the card should have been called Elemental Hero Get Your Game On
I thought since Nibiru tributed for cost, using DPE's effect, and by extension Wake Up's, wouldn't work. Could someone clarify please?
the play into Nibiru combo kinda confuses my, because wouldn't your opponent just wait til you end your entire combo and then just nib you
It’s because nibiru is main phase only! He was finishing his combo in the end phase, where nibiru cannot be activated anymore.

Word, you were at Duluth? The one hero player I played against was very confused.

I havent seen a hero deck at locals or on masterduel in such a long time now.
So. I noticed no spots for adusted and mali bane. Whats the reason?

We need a cydra one
im on team 1 stratos personally
Why couldn't they keep Jaiden in the art?
5:18 I wonder how will this change, once TCG gets the Flame Wingman that searches this card
Always 2 increase there are, no more, no less
You said DPE is "targeted destruction" but DPE does not target
Okay but who designed this card art and name? It's so ugly it ruins the aesthetic of the class
Fucking right? My only problem with the card at all is how damn ugly it is
