I didn't mention this in the video but based on my learning of this DIY - you could easily do a full bedroom with only purchasing a quart size can of each colour! You use such little paint on the sponge that it's a much cheaper option!
Thank you Danie! This is so awesome. I was looking forward to faux limewash a wall in my bedroom too but didn't know how to do it yet. Now I know ;) Thanks! I was thinking about a somewhat light green color. If you had further advice: Would you choose three different green tones or would you still use a beige or white to break it up?
I should have mentioned this actually - I definitely could have just purchased a quart of the base and dark colour because I mostly only needed the middle tone for the space!
Love it!! Did you use Matte paint? I’m wanting to faux limewash our bathroom, but trying to figure out if I can do semi gloss paint so that it doesn’t streak with the steam or is there a matte that would work in a bathroom? Thanks!

Do you cut in around the wall edges first like you usually would. It looks like the edges are done at the end but you never brought it up.
Hey, Danie, try exploring paint + baking soda technique for another way of getting lime wash effect, it does wonders 😀
Hello any links for this?
Awesome ! Do you apply the second and third colour while the first is still wet ?
This is absolutely GORGEOUS but I have no patience to do it myself. 🤣😂
Your walls look gorgeous 😊🤗😚😙❤❤
Wow! That looks like so much work!
I used a sea sponge years ago to do this. We also used to wet the sponge lightly, ithink it was to avoid it soaking up the paint.
looks great 👍
Beautiful
I love, love this!! Tips for doing this in black?
Beautiful 👏👏👏

Holy crap that would take so long!!!!
Do you wait for them to dry before patting the 2nd and 3rd color?
Is it more expensive then 3 paints wow. But then you would get 3 left over paints so that's a plus.

By middle paint fo you mean the tone should be kind of middle ground between the two?
This is it. Time for Debbie Travis to make her return :)
move over Debbie - there's a new gal in town! 😂
Was the paint eggshell or Matte or gloss
Is this in style??
Where is the towel rack from ❤
The squiggly one is from H&M home 🥰

Yes I’m pretty sure it has to be flat paint, almost “chalky” to get the authentic look 😉
