We love you Dereck. This song was written and composed by Michel Berger. Johnny was still on stage in June 2017 (6 months before his death). His lung cancer was causing him great pain. He was physically very tired. He fought until the end, on December 5, 2017.
Désolé, mais je m'inscris en faux. Cette chanson est l’œuvre de Michel Berger seul, puisque paru en 1985 sur l'album Rock'n'roll Attitude, entièrement écrit et composé par Berger. À cette époque, David n'avait pas encore sorti son premier album et Lionel Florence ne sortira son unique single qu'un an plus tard, en 86, avant de commencer à écrire pour les autres à plein temps à partir du milieu des années 90.

Hi Derek, you know in France there were two kinds of citizens : the "johnny fans" (very numerous) and the others who didn't care and I'd say I am part of those, only because for over fifty years we had to ear tones of Johnny songs, enough to get fed up. And as I see this video I discover a song I never heard and also I discovered the video live with Lara Fabian and I finally admit, despite the less interest I had for him when he was alive this guy was a beast on stage.
The songs that Johnny sang, written by this or that person, are of little importance because if it weren't for this voice, this talent, well...
Johnny was a real voice...
Many French people do not want to admit that Johnny was a voice and that he had great talent.
Many prefer to break him, look for his faults and the stupid things he may have done but everyone has faults and everyone does stupid things...
Fortunately there are fans or even people who are not really fans who admit things.. Honest people..

We understand this performer's and his musicians' level when we know this song arrives after almost two hours of concert! The energy and adrenaline are always there. And this guy and his musicians, for most of them, have forty-fifty years at the time. This is a must-see.
