@@LeTimeLeo could you tell me the benefits of oregano hydrosol would this help somebody with a fungal infection? Also, would it help exfoliate dead flaky skin
Can we intake this extract >>> or this is for external use . Using Hydrosol steam distillation of plant extract can we use for internal purpose. Pl explain.
Hi, hydrosol can be consumed internally after proper dilution. You may start from 10 time dilution and tested it with a small amount to make sure it is good. Essential oil is not recommended for internal use.
Hi, essential oils are not recommended to ingest straight without diluting. But it is commonly used as an ingredient in food or drinks. Heavy dilution is necessary.
@@LeTimeLeo thank you for the reply I have purchased a product that has been steam distilled and diluted in olive in manufactured into capsules and they advertise it as an essential oil but it is made for ingestion hence why i was confused. I think they diluted it heavily from nature’s bounty
Yes! The difference is raw leaves have more water so you will expect less oil yield and less milky hydrosol. Here is the video comparing them: ua-cam.com/video/AhPsncDJDqQ/v-deo.html
Thank you for your good question. Oregano oil is highly concentrated. As you can see in the video, there are only several milliliter of oil can be extracted from 1 liter of dry oregano due to its super lower oil content. Taking such amount of oil equal to eating 1 liter of dry oregano. That is why oregano oil and most essential oils are NOT recommended for internal consumption without large dilution.
Hi Eric, there is another piece of information may help answer your questions. During a study, they concluded "oregano EO increased digestive enzyme activity and antioxidant capability, stimulated immunomodulatory effects, and enhanced disease resistance in C. carpio, gut microbiota." Based on this, oregano has benefits on good gut bacteria. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Leo
How long will hydrosols last?
Up
Hydrosol shelf life can be at least 12 months. I normally store it in a large bottle in fridge. Pour it into small spray bottle for using.

Hi, if I have fresh oregano, does it need to be dried first?
We always recommend used dried herb since it contains less moisture so make higher concentrated hydrosol and more oil compared with fresh herb.
@@LeTimeLeo Thank you for the response. Live in a very sunny area so a few weeks won't hurt to wait.
Suggestion: look into fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
Good idea. Thank you for your suggestion!

If the oregano oil is anti-bacterial, wouldn't it also kill the good bacteria in the gut?
