FYI: The Buffalo round design is based on the Buffalo nickel. Generic Buffalos started being minted decades before the US Mint started making Gold Buffalos.

I buy and sell Morgans on Ebay and enjoy the history and VAMS. It's a learning experience every time I get a parcel In the mail. I use a stereo microscope to look for die varieties. I've only been stacking since last March. I sold my 40 year US mint stamp collection and put the proceeds into silver. I stack everything from Kilo's , 500 gram bars, 10 oz. bars and just bought my first 12 Libertad's from SD Bullion. I also love Junk silver and have been buying up lots of 90% Kennedy's and Franklin half dollars. I've just finished my 5th Monster box and will keep stacking as long as silver is affordable. I like my junk silver clean and run it through a tumbler with jewelry stainless media. it comes out shinny and feels so good!

Love the video! I agree with nearly everything you said in this video, however i think it’s also worth mentioning that many of the coins that hold the lowest premiums that you recommended also have a tendency to milk spot more often. Keep stacking man!

The Canadian Mint apparently is the only one claiming no more milk spotting. This is why I only mentioned them in the line up about that. You bring up a valid point. 🔥💪🪙

Great list. Thank you for sharing. After asking what shops pay for different types of silver my top is generic silver. In the vegas area buyback prices for eagles are around spot whereas generic was getting 50 cents back of spot. So generic is my stacker of choice. Mainly bars going foward for me. Although some other pieces always catch my eye.

Reason I like ASE over generic, or any sovereign over generic is because of a lot of what you experienced with the ratio trade to gold. I play for ratios and it’s how I plan to get back into gold. Generics are going to take a lot more weight than ASE’s or sovereigns to swap than generic. But there is arguments either way. We like what we like in the end. 🔥💪🪙

I put any sovereign mint outside of Eagles and Maples on the same level as rounds, and so do most coin shops in my area. I've been buying silver from costco with the 4% cash back its usually the cheapest on any given day.

Stay away from Kangaroos, Kruggers and Philharmonics, says they just sit in his shop. Next up Silver Rounds, but stick with the most common like Buffalos, American Coin Replicas. etc., again the further off the beaten path - the harder it is for him to sell. Next is bars, usually 1 oz with name brand sells best. In short - stick with the basics for easy and higher resell. In his shop he will pay above melt (+) on the better sellers and typically offers melt (-) on the poor/slower movers.

I'm a stacker started a year ago I have three tubes of rounds one tube of Britannia starting a tube of eagles after that a tube of Maple Leafs and I get 90% in between here and there

@ same rule more than two dollars it’s a collector, but there are plenty of sources with the $1.50 to $2 dollar spread on eagles because dealers will pay more for them. Libs spread is too big IMO
Kangaroos milk spot, which can reduce what shops will pay. Philharmonic, beautiful, can milk spot. Libertad, locally, sells for $5 over the American Silver Eagle (that was 4 Dec). They also spot. Canadian Maple Leaf no longer, as mentioned, has a spot problem. Britannia I would put lower than the Maple Leaf as it can spot. Constitutional Silver I place at #1. Actually, My top 4 are Constitutional, Maple, Eagle and Rounds, depending upon price.

Interesting. I think if the last year has taught me anything it’s sovereign means nothing unless it’s an American Silver Eagle and you live in the U.S. If you are stacking, hands down the absolute worst is high premium silver. I was in a coin shop last weekend and everything you have mentioned except 90% was selling for $33 an ounce. Including Libertads and key date Engelhard rounds. My number one recommendation is the cheapest ounce you can find. I also challenge anyone to actually prove American Silver Eagles are recognized world wide by actually going somewhere and trying to sell them for a premium. Do I stack them? Yes.
@@tomtharos4440 I can agree. The sovereign premiums are down right now. I’m enjoying that. Personally I believe there is good argument that stacking generic rounds might be the way to go even though you might not get spot when selling, you’d only get a couple bucks back from spot, and on the buy you’d pay probably less than a couple bucks over spot. So spread is only about 4 bucks. But I believe it’s flipped. You’ll get at least spot for sovereigns right now and eagles maybe a couple over spot. My LCS will pay a buck over spot. If your buying ASE’s at $4 over spot that is only a $2-$3 spread. So I like any sovereigns…and I believe that they win right now. Until premiums shoot up again
@@jasonking7729 I’m not a numismatic stacker, though I do have some numismatic silver. I didn’t get them for that reason. And I don’t buy anything in slabs. However, I don’t really think that numismatic silver is going anywhere. There is a huge market for that type of silver and due to its rarity, those will hold value or increase in value relative to that market. I feel if you have to convince someone to explain value when selling, then it’s not for me. The melt value and buyback is my biggest concern. Everything on top of that is air pie. I have bars, but I’m not really stacking bars. Now thinking about it, I’m kind of a sovereign silver stacker🔥💪🪙

Not Eagle, love AU coins, next philharmonic, krugers....as base 20kg of 1kg silver bars....maples...but i reside in Europe, different environment.. everybody should have a strategy what suits best. After collecting 1300g of gold bars, switched over to coins, more expensive, but fun. Just to mention, not for profit, my father collected, so do i for my son. I will die, as my father did, but what the heck...its fun!

Maple leafs are consistently cheaper and are great quality with the finest silver grade out there. IMHO also very easy to sell.

Interesting. I think if the last year has taught me anything it’s sovereign means nothing unless it’s an American Silver Eagle and you live in the U.S. If you are stacking, hands down the absolute worst is high premium silver. I was in a coin shop last weekend and everything you have mentioned except 90% was selling for $33 an ounce. Including Libertads and key date Engelhard rounds. My number one recommendation is the cheapest ounce you can find. I also challenge anyone to actually prove American Silver Eagles are recognized world wide by actually going somewhere and trying to sell them for a premium. Do I stack them? Yes.
@@tomtharos4440 I can agree. The sovereign premiums are down right now. I’m enjoying that. Personally I believe there is good argument that stacking generic rounds might be the way to go even though you might not get spot when selling, you’d only get a couple bucks back from spot, and on the buy you’d pay probably less than a couple bucks over spot. So spread is only about 4 bucks. But I believe it’s flipped. You’ll get at least spot for sovereigns right now and eagles maybe a couple over spot. My LCS will pay a buck over spot. If your buying ASE’s at $4 over spot that is only a $2-$3 spread. So I like any sovereigns…and I believe that they win right now. Until premiums shoot up again

@@jasonking7729 I’m not a numismatic stacker, though I do have some numismatic silver. I didn’t get them for that reason. And I don’t buy anything in slabs. However, I don’t really think that numismatic silver is going anywhere. There is a huge market for that type of silver and due to its rarity, those will hold value or increase in value relative to that market.
I feel if you have to convince someone to explain value when selling, then it’s not for me. The melt value and buyback is my biggest concern. Everything on top of that is air pie. I have bars, but I’m not really stacking bars. Now thinking about it, I’m kind of a sovereign silver stacker🔥💪🪙

Not Eagle, love AU coins, next philharmonic, krugers....as base 20kg of 1kg silver bars....maples...but i reside in Europe, different environment.. everybody should have a strategy what suits best. After collecting 1300g of gold bars, switched over to coins, more expensive, but fun. Just to mention, not for profit, my father collected, so do i for my son. I will die, as my father did, but what the heck...its fun!
This is amazing information. The thing that I never even thought of when doing the video that so many people from around the world would share their experiences and what they like to stack. I figured it would be some likes and a lot of haters. This is why I have a channel.
