Nah! I was thoroughly entertained by Chronicles of Riddick. It had some compelling themes with great costumes... I would love to see it remade with a tighter script. But it was my favorite of the 3..... but I'm a weirdo and a costume designer.
Actually a coworker talked me into watching it when I said it looks a bit too silly. He said it just a good action movie that is fun if you don’t take it seriously, so I watched it and he was right.
Yeah, DVD likes everything so I was shocked that he doesn't like TCoR. Vin Diesel got super pissed in interviews that so many people were asking him for a proper sequel or trilogy for that movie. The first one is amazing as a standalone….the 2nd movie is even better and it should also be a standalone. The 3rd was too much like the 1st and a big let down after expecting a follow-up of the 2nd.
Lars and the Real Girl has Ryan Gosling as a autistic guy who learns to open up to the human connections all around him. It is a beautiful and heartfelt movie that is very different and small and yet full of life and the quirks of life.
I'm really surprised that Darren isn't a fan of the Reacher series on Prime. For my money it's head and tails above the Reacher movies (insert Tom Cruise short joke here). Especially Season 2. Darren needs to check that out!

I don’t know if I loved it but I did enjoy it enough to watch it twice. Underrated movie.
I love it too. I'd definitely watch it over the other two it came down to it.
I loved all the movies. The irony is that the chronicles is different enough to keep the whole series interesting.
Not true.
There are six of us apparently now.
"implement him in a crime"
It's "Implicate him in a crime"... just trying to help because I love you..... haha
I noticed that too. But to be fair, he makes only the occasional verbal slip. Although he could drop the excessive "actually"s.
When 9/11 happened, Steve Buscemi was in NYC and went by his old station, geared up and went to the scene to fight fire and rescue survivors.
A man of legendary character…
I was serving in the Marines when 9/11 happened and remember hearing about that.
