I agree and see where you’re coming from. It’s true. Tongans don’t enough credit for their precision to meticulous detail and their authentic cultural craftsmanship that still continue so strongly today. I’ve seen and witnessed where people admire and adore our Tongan creations, but just ignore the fact where it’s from and they just call it accordingly to their origin. As humble and quiet and busy as bees as we can be continuously creating new designs and ideas with our culture because it’s the main four pillars of ours. But yes, there is a time and a place where respectfully boundaries should be put in place. So yes! Give the credit where it’s overdue! 👏🏽🤌🏽✨
Thank you for sharing your gifts with us..I’m Samoan, Māori and Tongan..and love that I can learn a bit of the Tongan cultural crafts from your channel! 🙏🏽
Wow time consuming! You did that so fast though and just thought of something so quick and it’s so beautiful! Now I get why these things are so expensive, lei’s, etc. Thank you for sharing.❤❤

Awww Ms. Megan you don’t disappoint us with your creativity and your creations. I had a little hiccup yesterday cutting ribbons to short for mines. Lol it’s ok, I’m using that mistake to attach my money flowers with. Works and looks great.

omg thank you so much for this tutorial 🥰. When I heard you say Idaho I thought I was trippin out lol. This will help me with my daughter's kinder graduation 🥰.
I see when you are working making delay you have the other flowers sit on the table should they be in water or will it be OK? Or just leave it out until you’re finished with your project. It won’t turn brown. How long does delay less from the time you make it?
Yes they will be fine. The lei will last 2+ days in the fridge depending on the type of flowers you use. I recommend keeping it in the fridge on the warmest setting until its ready to wear
Thank you for sharing. I really love your tutorials and the different ways of making the leis. Love all your leis and they're all beautiful. Paracord, which you did not suggest, but people might use, is very absorbent. Which means it will get dirty quickly. Just FYI.

You can make the fresh flower part 24 hours before. I recommend keeping it in the fridge on the warmest setting!

OMG Love this! You’re amazing! Do you have a tutorial on how to make a fakahaapai please?
I do! Check out our other videos, there is a ribbon fakaha’apai tutorial.
This is absolutely beautiful! Where do you get your lei needles? Thanks for sharing.
Love it 😍 Do you cover the back so all the roughness isnt showing?
Your work is amazing. Do you mind adding the total cost of materials?
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much Megan. I do want to ask if using artificial flowers would make a difference especially if I’m wanted to keep them long term.
Definitely! We have some fully artificial lei tutorials that show leis that can be reused over and over again.
❤
What are the tools used ? Can anyone list them down for me !!!
Is that a green plastic sheet?
It is stiffened felt
Is this lei mainly for men wear?
Its worn by men and women ♥️🌺
Do you have any words of wisdom about not using staples and sewing it on there? Is it too delicate for sewing?
🤙🏼
Malo Meg

Hi Megan
It's me again I forgot to ask if you used the regular satin ribbon or the polypropylene ribbon. Thanks.
Thank you ❤
