I think the sport passed herb, and it's time for him to step down. Definitely seems like he's got some nervous energy anytime he's thinking about stopping it, it used to just look natural for him.
The quality of these videos is just amazing. I’m just sitting back and thinking of how far the fandom of this sport has come with a huge smile on my face right now.
Look up Valentina vs Cachoeira. That's the major note from the top of my head. If you're not familiar it's 95 significant strikes to 2 with 84% accuracy with 8:32 seconds of ground control in a 9:25 length "fight". It's the fight that got Yamasaki (the ref) fired and blacklisted from the UFC.
Just re-watched the Silva-Bisping knockdown. Mike had his left hand up to defend himself before his right hand hit the canvas, Silva didn't follow up, and as soon as the round ended half a second later, Mike resumed his conversation with Herb about his mouthpiece, so it was reasonable for Herb to think he was still with it IMO. ua-cam.com/video/NRJx0S9mYRk/v-deo.html&ab_channel=KingCoparoo
What about Sean O'Malley vrs Chris Mutinio? Just look up the stats and watch the fight again and pay attention to the corner screaming "Move your head!" The entire time. Still props to Chris's toughness 💪 but O'Malley's striking was insane!
My guesses before watching 1. JDS v Cain 2 was hard to watch 2. Volkanovski v Ortega (thumbnail) 3. Smith v Teixeira 4. Nunes v Pennington (corner should have stopped when she asked) 5. Rockhold v Weidman (inbetween rounds) 6. Shevchenko v Cachoeira 7. Hunt v Stipe (again, corner should have recognised he couldn't win) 8. Aldo v Faber 9. Cyborg v random woman in Strikeforce 10. Penn v Sanchez
Smith vs Texeira definitely should have been called. That was a brutal beat-down. Regarding Volkanowski vs. Ortega, that could have easily been called too. That was also very 1-sided, despite some valiant attempts by Brian. Kattar vs. Holloway also could have been called earlier on in the fight. That might be the most impressive I've ever seen Max.
Just thinking of the Max vs Kattar fight I feel like crying, like when I think of a beautiful piece of art. That fight, Rory vs Lawler and Darren Elkins comeback are 3 of the most beautiful and touching things I've ever saw in my life.
Stipe Miocic vs Mark Hunt for sure shoulda been on this list. How his corner let him go out there for that 5th round is beyond me, I've never seen a fighter look so defeated in between rounds like Hunt did in that fight
Have to redo this video and add Saint Denis vs Dos Santos to this list. This fight is not over as I’m commenting and this ref is insane. Saint Denis is getting sacrificed right now.
Honestly that Bisping call was pretty good. That knee was no doubt brutal n it was a crazy knockdown but you can clearly see him attempt to defend himself from the ground and again look toward the ref like "wtf Is this" so it wasn't like he was knocked out cold. Plus he came back n absolutely dominated round 5, I got no problem with that no-stoppage honestly and most that I've seen say the same except for silva fans tbh.
Poor Brian Ortega I remember how everyone thought he was the next king of featherweight undefeated Holloway was a betting underdog and now he is best known for having 2 fights that should have bees stopped sooner. Think of a fighter who when you close your eyes you can just imagine their face all messed up Who do you see for me that’s Brian Ortega
The glover lionheart fight was really hard to watch. I think maybe because it had no fans so you could just hear these huge impacts from glover and when a fighter literally hand his teeth to the ref it’s probably time to stop the fight, and glover being the nicest guy ever literally apologized during the fight.
Let’s cool it on the random clips guys. Some can improve the video if they’re relevant and well placed but when they’re random and predictable it feels like a low-tier High school girl UA-camr vlog. That eddie murphy clip is a great example. Y’all don’t need low effort attempts at memes to be good. I watch every video and been with y’all for a very long time. Just some constructive criticism.
When you repeated that sentence in the beginning I really thought that I either had a concussion or someone had slipped something into my tea Probably a performance enhancer like John Jones
I remember a fight (can't remember who) said to their corner that they were done. The corner just pushed the fighter back into the fight, which was a horrible decision. That bothers me
I gotta admit that Volk vrs. Ortega was such an amazing fight that swayed momentum in every direction, on the edge of your seat, not knowing what outcome was soon to occur. I hope Ortega is doing okay.
Lol the only momentum shift was in the third with Ortega's sub attempts. Besides that it was a one sided beat down that should have been stopped after the third.
If this video doesn’t have Luke Rockhold adding Weidman’s facial tissue and brain pulp to the canvas logos like some maddened painter and decorator pummelling an apprentice to death during an alcohol-induced paranoiac break from reality (while the completely bewildered Herb ‘if he Deans, he Deans’ looks on apprehensively like a frightened homeowner too afraid to intervene in a deeply personal and unrestrained moment of divine, unwarranted violence between coworkers)... Then this list is gonna be like TRT without the Vitor.
I've been an mma fan since the late 90's and I am have and always will be on the side of rather having a fight finish too soon than too late. Live to fight another day with a L.
I have to disagree with the bisping one. Not because he won afterwards, but because he wasn’t out. He was definitely very stunned by the knee, but as he wasn’t out and was able to answer the bell in 60 seconds to the point where he seemed almost fully recovered. No hate tho i love this channel

Worst part about him is his complete refusal to admit that he fucked up. Herzog apologised and admitted fault for the Glover-Smith fight. Not once has Herb Dean ever said that the calls he made are wrong. That is the most dangerous part to me, it's the sign of someone who is unwilling to learn from their mistakes, which might explain why they keep happening now.
@@MrDioXIII tbh man i used to think it was just herb being past his prime so to speak, but now I kinda think that herb is just an outdated ref. He doesn't fit in with the way fights are expected to be stopped nowadays with the way fighter safety is now taken more seriously. He hesitates for sure thats that's fact. But I think it's cuz he's not good at stopping it unless the guy is literally out out and getting pounded on, which back in his heyday was just expected before a ref would stop it. I think the sport passed herb, and it's time for him to step down.
Definitely seems like he's got some nervous energy anytime he's thinking about stopping it, it used to just look natural for him.
@@JD_13 What does Aljo Sterling have on Dana? Man can go almost a year without defending after a DQ win and still get paid doing analysis?
The quality of these videos is just amazing. I’m just sitting back and thinking of how far the fandom of this sport has come with a huge smile on my face right now.
That Shawn O'Malley/Kris Moutinho fight should've made this list.
The creator was probably afraid of backlash (as idiots in the mma community felt like moutinho should’ve get butchered for 20 more seconds)
You missed Gaethje v Ferguson. That was brutal.
Great list great and accurate analysis of each fight, probably my favorite list you guys have ever done, no notes
Ooooh no notes, thanks editor
The bisbing take was a little off.
Plus repeating lines, that's almost all vids though so idk if they are doing that on purpose at this point or what
Look up Valentina vs Cachoeira. That's the major note from the top of my head. If you're not familiar it's 95 significant strikes to 2 with 84% accuracy with 8:32 seconds of ground control in a 9:25 length "fight". It's the fight that got Yamasaki (the ref) fired and blacklisted from the UFC.
@@Juel92 will do thanks
Top 10 title changes by submission
Okay come on now. You GOTTA do deepest subs survived now
Holloway was coming off a scary loss and we all though the legend was done. He came in and proved us wrong with that record

Moicano vs RDA deserves to be here now
What about Sean O'Malley vrs Chris Mutinio? Just look up the stats and watch the fight again and pay attention to the corner screaming "Move your head!" The entire time. Still props to Chris's toughness 💪 but O'Malley's striking was insane!
I'm a simple gal. I see the Doctor waving his sonic, I subscribe.
My guesses before watching
1. JDS v Cain 2 was hard to watch
2. Volkanovski v Ortega (thumbnail)
3. Smith v Teixeira
4. Nunes v Pennington (corner should have stopped when she asked)
5. Rockhold v Weidman (inbetween rounds)
6. Shevchenko v Cachoeira
7. Hunt v Stipe (again, corner should have recognised he couldn't win)
8. Aldo v Faber
9. Cyborg v random woman in Strikeforce
10. Penn v Sanchez
Bisping is a legend. Herbert Dean should've called time but sometimes the purp hits when it hits, if you know what I mean.
Came to the comments to see if I could find this one, or mention it myself. Definitely worse than a lot of these entries.
Thank god for this one, so damn true. I thought I was the only one thinking about some of these fights going on a bit too long. Great list!!
Have to redo this video and add Saint Denis vs Dos Santos to this list. This fight is not over as I’m commenting and this ref is insane. Saint Denis is getting sacrificed right now.
Keep it up fellas. I literally love it when I finally get the notification that y’all dropped a new vid.
Lmao the wrestling "will somebody stop the damn match" intro was hilarious. I love this channel.
Poor Brian Ortega I remember how everyone thought he was the next king of featherweight undefeated Holloway was a betting underdog and now he is best known for having 2 fights that should have bees stopped sooner. Think of a fighter who when you close your eyes you can just imagine their face all messed up
Who do you see for me that’s Brian Ortega
#1: The two CM Punk fights before they started =) UNBOOK IT DANA!!!
Queue:
“My teeth are falling out.”
“I wanted her to be a warrior.”

Askren. (Pick a fight.)
I can understand why Herb let it go, but Kattar's corner allowing him to go out for the 5th will never make any sense to me.
We have another one to add to this list… 🇫🇷
The one consistency I've noticed through this video is Dean is basically the referee throughout them all
When you repeated that sentence in the beginning I really thought that I either had a concussion or someone had slipped something into my tea
Probably a performance enhancer like John Jones
I remember a fight (can't remember who) said to their corner that they were done. The corner just pushed the fighter back into the fight, which was a horrible decision. That bothers me
I disagree with the Bisping one
Bisping was saved by the bell and wasn't out he was knocked down
Agree completely.
2 “quicks notes” that were meant to be one made me chuckle… Onward to the video. Love you guys & gals!!!
One solid sub attempt really didn't change anything.
Magney is a hypnotist who manages to convince his opponents that they should be in contact with him and it usually works out for him
Ortega only rallied in the 5th because volk knew it was a 4-0 sweep
Notice how Herb was all about making sure Ronda was protected. Ortega and Bisping weren’t money tickets for Dana though.
Couldnt DISAGREE more with the Bisbing Silva fight, mike was never once out cold, he looked at Herb as soon as he dropped.
And also silva is the one that walked off and celebrated while the fight itself kept going,
Fr, he got flashed.
@@dokidokideathproof i just watched it on my fight pass, disagree, dont see the evidence.. Him falling isn't close to proof....
Yeah I thought that entry was a bit unfair
Bisping talked about it himself on his channel, he wasn't knocked out cold
If this video doesn’t have Luke Rockhold adding Weidman’s facial tissue and brain pulp to the canvas logos like some maddened painter and decorator pummelling an apprentice to death during an alcohol-induced paranoiac break from reality (while the completely bewildered Herb ‘if he Deans, he Deans’ looks on apprehensively like a frightened homeowner too afraid to intervene in a deeply personal and unrestrained moment of divine, unwarranted violence between coworkers)... Then this list is gonna be like TRT without the Vitor.
There is NO way I watched this list without Shevchenko vs Cachoeira being included. Wow. Only miss from the channel so far 💪🏼.
Joe Rogan: "Herb Dean is the gold standard for referees"
MMA on Point: 👀
The Brock vs Carwin and Bisping vs Silva fights should've never been stopped..... horrible call putting them on this list. Smfh
Agree. I reckon the yan vs aldo fight should have been on the list before these 2 fights
Bisping was KO'd. Simple as that.
Simple fact is when it come to Max Holloway when he enters Ultra Instinct mode. He is unstoppable
Tommy is the GOAT, Bayliun is cringe and makes me click off
If you're problem is someone's voice theres something wrong with you.
Same here
I've been an mma fan since the late 90's and I am have and always will be on the side of rather having a fight finish too soon than too late. Live to fight another day with a L.
Really wish the footage could be shown in these videos. Could have been a whole new favorite channel…
I have to disagree with the bisping one. Not because he won afterwards, but because he wasn’t out. He was definitely very stunned by the knee, but as he wasn’t out and was able to answer the bell in 60 seconds to the point where he seemed almost fully recovered. No hate tho i love this channel
Was expecting CB dollaway vs khalid murtazaliev to be #1. The most sickening non-stoppage I've ever seen
time to update the list after the reffing debacle at 267
Watching ortega get his face re-arranged was horrifying, could not stop cringing.
I’ll never forget that Holloway V Ortega fight, I was there live and so many people in my section were calling for the fight to be stopped after the 3rd round
Should already be updated with another entry from UFC 267
Funny how this appeared in my recommended videos right after the Elizeu vs St. Denis fight
Surprised O'Malley vs Moutinho wasn't on here
