I have traveled on sleeping cars in Canada that were, and are, Well over 40 years old! No squeak squeek squeak, like the XPT! Ditto for the US, I rode 1950's sleepers that were quiet and rode well.
In my opinion, the CAF trains, whenever they start operation, will be DAYLIGHT ONLY, [ I was told] so, TWO CAF sets for Sydney Brisbane, departing each end at about 7.15am. Two XPT sets with a sleeper, Daily, overnight Sydney Casino. Ditto Sydney Melbourne.

Regarding graffiti in Melbourne generally - its been glorified in the cbd laneways - which I find ludicrous anyway.
What a shame these xpt carriages won't be re-purposed after the introduction of the new regional trainsets.
