I normally play the P790s but was at our local indoor winter golf place and they had the Stealth2 in the 7 iron there to pre-order. I have a friend that is a relatively new player and is getting out of the beginner clubs and he tried them. Solid, easy to hit and he was impressed. He is probably going to buy them. I decided to give them a shot just to see. I hit the seven five times. Every shot was within one yard of the others. I mean amazingly consistent ball flight and distance. Yep, they look mildly goofy but it is hard to argue with the consistent numbers this club can give you. You might lose some style points with these clubs but when you beat your buddies with 'real clubs' they are the ones needing to work on style. I can see me in these in a few years. I'm 55 and my swing speed is starting to slow down. These will probably help a lot of us older guys stay competitive.
Mike From Winnipeg, Canada. My wife really struggles with her irons but likes her hybrids so I'm thinking she should give these or something similar a try. Always the best reviews! Love you Sophie! ❤️
I have the Stealth irons and hit them pretty well...but i am 58 now so these HD irons might be a good idea.... i'm about a 9 handicap and am a true believer on use equipment that make the game easier.....alot more fun that way I think....thx for your awesome review....have you done the Stealth 2 fairway woods review ? the standard and HD also in the hybrids ? ...cheers from Canada
I got the H Ds today and Im a high handicaprer they are 100 per cent recomended ....I also got the stelth 2 driver ...the hybred and the 3 wood with the new bag so im more then ready...thank you
Thanks for the review Sophie. I don’t struggle with height on my irons--yet--but I know a few guys in my league who could benefit. I’ll probably order a demo for our shop to have on hand for them to try.
I have the opposite problem in that I tend to get too much launch in my Irons, so these aren't for me, but for anyone who struggles with launching their Irons, these look ideal. I agree with your recommendation to go for the graphite shaft option
I have that problem as well but the 2 out of 10 I clip the ball gets me so so mad. I need to not hit ball as high lower my flight but the ones I scrub on wow can get me upset hahaha
Hi sophie I'm recovering from a back injury, and I normally play stiff flex p790s, I am a clipper, do you think the regular flex in these and the style would fit me I was a 20 handicap
Hi, good review, cheers! I play off 14, but have always somewhat struggled with my full iron shots, hence I have hybrids right through to 7H actually! To be honest, I think they look decent, so very tempted to demo these when officially released! What's the feel like plse? They sounded pretty good in your review.. Many thanks Andrew
If you're the type of golfer that's hitting a 7 iron 125-130 yards do yourself a favour and forget about these and get a 6 or 7 hybrid and a 9 wood. They're just effortless to use and the ball flight you get from those will be far better than off of any hybrid iron. I speak from experience and if that's your distance range then you aren't hitting your driver far enough to reach most greens in regulation. 2 shots to get yourself in position then it's a case of getting good with wedges and your putter. It's still possible to score in the 80's like this.
The whole golf industry need a regig, all the seniors I play with at my club hit driver off the tee then wood or hybrid to the green then the either hit a wedge or putt it onto the green I rarely see any of them with a 5 to 8 iron in their hands, and yet they carry them round in the bag every round. But the golf industry still want to sell slower swing speed players 4 to 6 irons/ a 14 club bag. Most people need Driver. 5 wood. 6 hybrid, 8/9/PW, 56wedge and putter. 8 clubs.
I tried a G430 in senior shaft yesterday at my range and I hated them. I was so looking forward to trying them. I'm currently using a Callaway X-22, and the G430 was no match. I hated it. Very surprising. But you have to try everything.
@@Richkotite1 half the time when you dislike a club its the shaft and swing weight. Any club lauches the ball find if you hit it right and it not the head that affects your swing.
I have the slingshot touring, and OSS, and just got the sim2 because I thought I graduated and earned it. Now I'm wondering if I should have tried these. I wanted updated tech that I figured will get me the extra 10-15 more yards I need.
I just bought these. What a tight grouping they produce! Got a bit older and swing a bit slower. Perfect fit.

They look good. I use the Cleveland halo irons for my long irons. Even thin shots go up in the air
I tried these last night, and the results were much better than my current game improvement irons. More spin, more height and more carry.

I use the TM M CGB irons and love them. So easy to hit. They are large but nothing like these. Would love to see a head to head.
I hit the 7 stealth hd at golf town and hit it longer then what I usually do.. I am definitely considering these irons…

I had the Wilson Launch Pads but did not like the sound, had Tour Edge hybrid irons liked them. Now have the PXG 0211 XCor2 set. Love them.
I love your jacket. What model is that?
excellent video as usual Sophie I wud love these as it's me can't use irons
Similar to Browning irons with little more offset
I’m hoping that these will make me enjoy my iron play. Bought today 5-pw in graphite shafts. Gonna get out with them tomorrow 😊

You are fliping the club and adding loft at impact. you need to keep you hands forward at impact. Also use a shaft that had a stiffer tip section.

Reminds me of the old Maltby Glider irons.

Worth a go for the long irons at least
Great review. So well done!
Thanks David 👍

Love your reviews!

I'm struggling with golf. Perhaps you can review some pickleball paddles?
Which are easier to hit, the Wilson Launch Pad or the TaylorMade Stealth HD?
Also consider the Cobra T-rail, Cleveland Launcher XL Halo and the direct-to-consumer brand Sub 70 model 799.
Definitely give the Cleveland halo a try.
Both have a wide soles there should really be very little difference between them.
Just got fitted for a set.
Excellent video
These look like a great idea from Taylormade. They are getting so many good reviews. People are more open minded at the moment.
The hours of waffle of the look of clubs on youtube videos is such a waste of all our time.

Your experience doesn’t matter to anyone but you.

Good clubs, has a nice draw bias
They remind me of the old Nike Slingshots
Most things in life are ever 100% new
