  • Havelis, or mansions, form an integral part of India's architectural heritage. They have existed for several centuries and are famed for their vivid facades. Havelis are made from distinctive red sandstone and engraved with intricate patterns. Most havelis boast of large balconies, multiple levels and grand rooms. They are built around a central courtyard, enclosed to escape the summer heat.

    India is a country of diversity. But a good numbers of Indians r taking it for granted and I can see it here in comment section.
    A NE man z unable to speak Hindi with good pronunciation but it's beautiful when he speaks! ❤️
    A North Indian person is unable to speak Bengali and even if he speaks he speaks it with wrong pronunciation. But still it's lovely . It connects us ❤️
    A South Indian pronounces hindi poorly , bt the love to learn makes us Indian. ❤️
    While living in a diverse country I cannot raise question mark on person's pronunciation. If it z understandable it's okay and beautiful ❤️

      @@priyankamondal9593 A person from the south is less likely to get the local pronunciation of a place in N India right unless it is checked up online or otherwise. Likewise, try a tongue twister like Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram. Lots of newsreaders struggle with it. It is just a matter of research and practice.

      @neilkamalseal3413 3 роки тому +2

      @Red Kolkata has many modern era palaces and also zamindari and middle era kingly palaces and temples around whole bengal. Problem is they are somehow not highlighted and I think most of the forts of elsewhere in India get shdowed under Rajasthan. And since Kolkata is already famous for culture and food...so people wont give bengali credit for buildings cause other cities need some boost by names😂

      @@priyankamondal9593 Yeah exactly what I said...Old kingly palaces and temples surrounded all around bengal. But problem is since bengal is already associated with food...And Rajasthan's pride is their building...So they are not going to take bengal the place of forts title from them😂

      It's not Persian. Its India. They are built in the Rajasthani, Gujarati, and Mughal styles. They have persian influence but they're not Persian, just like temples of south east asia have indian influence but are not indian.

    • @vaishnaviabhinav6313

      @@nirupamakumar3917 This kind of architecture was originated in Persia. I think Muslims rulers might have patronised it in India. It's funny that many Indians still believe Paisley style is endemic to India as it has been widely used in Indian embroidery works and paintings. But that's also a Persian design.
