Fabulous a great video of line not often if any seen by the public. Superb semaphores and signal box. and love the atmosphere of the lighting early morning or evening. Great Work
The filth at 08.15 at the track side tells us a lot about the so called travelling community. Apart from that eyesore this is a great little piece of footage. Thanks Freight Rambler.
you have to stop two locomotive lengths from the signal . otherwise it's classed as a near signal passed at red . in the old days you would stop at it and ring the signalman. Now you use in cab radio and keep your distance
Freight Rambler Thanks so much. I have spent a lot of time on UK railways, but the Atlantic is a formidable obstacle and captions improve my enjoyment/knowledge. I know I am a PITA, but I do enjoy and appreciate your work. Thanks
@@rubyait Hi Thomas if you want to follow my routes, get a copy of Quail Track Diagrams, Southern & TFL NO 5, many drivers in UK have these in their drivers bags, most of my routes i drive over are in the no 5 edition, these are on sale on Amazon cheers for now

Freight Rambler If yours were all I followed, I would do that; Howe er I just checked Amazon and at $8 each, I will and a stack beside my chair, I will struggle along. I can find the passenger routes and have got quite good at it, but there’s no telling what the freights do. If I had a caption or two I could begin to find out.
The fly-tipping on the right-hand side of the track at 8:00 is terrible. Network railway shoud send some people out to clean it up as I bet the houses over the wall complain

Semaphores and signal boxes - fabulous!!
Thanks for another interesting piece of railway pleasure.
Quite exciting in the first minute or so: being passed by two Metropolitan Line trains, two Jubilee, two Chiltern and a police car!
Thanks for the cab ride totally enjoyed loved seeing signal boxes!!😎🚃🚃🚃🇬🇧
cheers !
That diesel engine sounds like an EMD 645. Rugged and dependable, good throttle response and sound great in run 8 with a louder exhaust!
Nice to see the semaphores at Neasden. A sight that's rapidly being removed from the network.

Thanks Freight Rambler.
That’s fly tippers. Nothing to do with the trains.
What we need now is the return journey - to Neasden Engineers' siding
Awesome always wanted to know where you guys go when I drive my met line past you
These are the hidden lines that connect the mainlines.
Last three minutes are beautiful.
Is there any reason why you stop a short distance from a red light,
Thank you

11:00 What a great signal box. Which is it? (Captions would help so much. )

The mobile homes over side of wall are owned by Irish Travellers, they are the ones dumping their crap...
Freight Rambler ah ok
@@freightrambler7199 fucking peasants as usual
NWR should just go there one night with a gang and throw it all back over, that'll teach em!

What are the hours you cannot sound a horn?
00.00 to 06.00 unless you need to...

Interesting ride, but have never seen such rubbish, broken fences etc along the way. Disgrace.
All the shit on the right about 20 meters past Acton Canal Wharf signal box (8:12) was thrown over by the gypos from the traveler's camp.
Throw it back then
Pas terrible, l'environnement.
Yes not the best part of London !!
