@@user-cm4op2kz3y It's definitely not a moisture issue with my phone USB. I've tried cleaning with 100% alcohol, I've tried the hair drier and rice.
The reason I know it's a bug is because it started happening right after a system update. It was charging perfectly fine before, and intermittently and randomly it charges normally with the USB cable.

I've been living off a wireless charger for about 7 months and finally got it back to normal. I bought a tooth brush and rubbing alcohol, scrubbed out the charging port until it was super clean inside. Then I used a blow drier on it for about 5 minutes.
It still said it was displaying moisture, with the phone still turned on I slowly (and I mean very slowly) began inserting the charging cable into the port. This time I heard the charging sound following by the moisture alert, I pressed okay and bam.. It started charging.
For a phone that cost close to $800AU, the Samsung S9+ I expected better, I firmly believe it was a bug.. just doesn't make sense why slowly inserting the cable worked for me.
Give this a go if you're out of ideas, it's worth a shot, good luck!

My phone Samsung Note 9 wasn't charging because a moisture error detected (yellow triangle). Called Samsung and was told there was nothing Samsung could do because my phone was out of warranty. I took it to my service provider (Tmobile), it recommended to purchase a wireless charger. I was desperate but I didn't purchase it because I did not have my wallet with me. I did however, charged it about 15% at tmobile using a wireless charger at the store. I got home and started to search for a solution. Found your video and tried the 2nd option (plugging the cable about 1/2 way, turn the power on and then insert the cable all the way in after Samsung logo appeared on the screen. I am happy to report that it is actually working. My phone is now at 30% with no moisture error. Thank you so much for the video on the fix.

I am also a comrade having the same problem till a week ago..I don't know whether this is some kind of software issue or hardware issue...but one thing is for sure. This "moisture detected in your usb port"came suddenly out of nowhere when we didn't even had moisture or any other particles on the port. But after having this problem for a half year I will say that, this issue vanished suddenly into thin air....without leaving a single trace....I am not telling the solution to this problem but just that it went suddenly. It's no more popping in my notification panel.for roughly 6-7 months I used my android by charging it after switching off and inserting the charger the moment the logo came....but after so many months suddenly this thing disappeared.

The only way to fix it is as follows:
I had this problem for about 5 months until 3 weeks ago when I got fed up with it. All you need is rubbing alcohol, a spare toothbrush electric or other, and a hair dryer. Dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub inside the usb port for about 10-15 minutes dipping repeatedly. Then once you can see either on the bristles or with a flashlight that it is now clean inside you use the hair dryer. Set it to medium or low and blow dry holding the phone so that the usb port is facing down towards the ground for about 10 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes plug it in and voila no more issues. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't had the error once. Almost feels like a brand new phone! Cheers all hope this helped you!

    1) Turn your phone off (shutdown)

    3)plug it in the charger
    4) turn you phone on .
It worked for me so I hope it helps !

  • @juncowan

OK, thank you for the suggestions, Ricardo. One worked, and this is my story:
My message came on when I dropped a little water on my Note 9. It was hardly wet, but I got the dreaded message and that was 4 days ago, and I've only been charging wirelessly.
I used my glasses cleaning alcohol sheet and wedged it gently with the end of a needle to clean the USB port. I restarted the phone and plugged the USB cable when the Samsung logo came up (as suggested in this video), but still, the dreaded message came up! I unplugged the USB cable, but after I signed in, the wet message was gone, so I plugged in my USB cable and now it is charging normally.
My hypothesis is that if the USB contact comes into contact with any small amount of water, this somehow leaves an imprint of the water that cannot be modified by just blowing air and drying out the water (just like you see watermarks on a window of a car, for example after the rain, but the water has dried up). The physical rubbing of the alcohol most likely is the only way to clear this film that remains on the USB charging contacts and thus results in this error message.

I had the warning come on then go away (after putting it in a bag of rice overnight) then come back. The second option of putting the charger in whilst the Samsung logo was on worked for me.. Thanks so much.
