My phone Samsung Note 9 wasn't charging because a moisture error detected (yellow triangle). Called Samsung and was told there was nothing Samsung could do because my phone was out of warranty. I took it to my service provider (Tmobile), it recommended to purchase a wireless charger. I was desperate but I didn't purchase it because I did not have my wallet with me. I did however, charged it about 15% at tmobile using a wireless charger at the store. I got home and started to search for a solution. The only way to fix it is as follows: I had this problem for about 5 months until 3 weeks ago when I got fed up with it. All you need is rubbing alcohol, a spare toothbrush electric or other, and a hair dryer. Dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub inside the usb port for about 10-15 minutes dipping repeatedly. Then once you can see either on the bristles or with a flashlight that it is now clean inside you use the hair dryer. Set it to medium or low and blow dry holding the phone so that the usb port is facing down towards the ground for about 10 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes plug it in and voila no more issues. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't had the error once. Almost feels like a brand new phone! Cheers all hope this helped you!

Lordddd!!!! Brother you've just saved me one whole lecture from my mom lol the device is an S8 and the plugging in of the charger immediately you see the android logo worked for me thank you so much!
OK, thank you for the suggestions, Ricardo. One worked, and this is my story: My message came on when I dropped a little water on my Note 9. It was hardly wet, but I got the dreaded message and that was 4 days ago, and I've only been charging wirelessly. I used my glasses cleaning alcohol sheet and wedged it gently with the end of a needle to clean the USB port. I restarted the phone and plugged the USB cable when the Samsung logo came up (as suggested in this video), but still, the dreaded message came up! I unplugged the USB cable, but after I signed in, the wet message was gone, so I plugged in my USB cable and now it is charging normally. My hypothesis is that if the USB contact comes into contact with any small amount of water, this somehow leaves an imprint of the water that cannot be modified by just blowing air and drying out the water (just like you see watermarks on a window of a car, for example after the rain, but the water has dried up). The physical rubbing of the alcohol most likely is the only way to clear this film that remains on the USB charging contacts and thus results in this error message.
I had the warning come on then go away (after putting it in a bag of rice overnight) then come back. The second option of putting the charger in whilst the Samsung logo was on worked for me.. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much it worked for me the half plug in and then plug in when you see the the Samsung logo!!! You've just gotten yourself a like and a sub.
could you imagine that my phone fell in a bowl of hot soup.i was doing something and then my phone just slipped and fell into the bowl of soup. It blinked off for awhile and then came back on .It was in a case but the the port was exposed,so i immediately tried to dry it ,but began to get the moisture in port error message even days after my phone was dried off.I'll try these methods tho.

Same just tried it
Clearing the USB settings data did it for me. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much. Tried almost 10hrs but got it to work after watching your video. I use the unplug power on and plug in when the Samsung logo on the screen. Tried twice the first time did not work. But it worked on the second time. Thank you.
Glad you tried more than once before giving up.
#2 worked!! My Boyfriend thought it wasn't going to work and when I tried it guess what IT WORKED! so now I have a salty boyfriend beside me telling me it was just luck 😂😂😂 thank you!!
lol hope he will come around soon.
Why u dating him lol
Mine to.
#2 worked
Haha.. gotta love em..
omg thanks for these tips my phone was on three percent and it saved me for now until I get a new charger. thanks for the help ricardo and keep up the tech vids.
#2 and blowing repeatedly into port worked. Plug in, take out, wipe water off port, blow and wipe water off outside of port, repeat a few times. You saved my phone!
I get the moisture detected fault when I have let my phone fully discharge. The method to partly insert charging cable and hold in the power on button worked for me. Thanks Ricardo !!!
The trick at 1:46 works perfectly , thanks for almost saving my life
FOR ANYONE HAVING THIS ISSUE :
1) Turn your phone off (shutdown)
2)make sure there isnt actual water in the port
3)plug it in the charger
4) turn you phone on .
It worked for me so I hope it helps !
This actually works sir. Tysm
No
thanks yow thought that was the end of my s10+ port life what a relief
Me to
Holy shizzle dood I'm subbing. I restarted and did that thing and it worked! Hopefully if anything else happens you have a video on it😁
I was having the same issue with my S9+. Before watching your video I watched 3 to 4 differents videos. After watched this one I was able to fix my phone by my own.... Thank Thank Thank...you are great!
Thank you
Second option fixed it, thanks mate, was getting a bit worried there
Getting a wireless charger doesn't actually fix anything!
I did not say get a wireless charger, I have had cases where witless charging still worked despite the error, seems that will work only in some cases. Plus I gave several solutions one is bound to work so if you don't have a wireless charger try the other easier options.
It works for me. I cannot charge my device anymore using only the cable. But its charging using the wirelessly charging.
I just so happen to have a wireless charger and that worked as a workaround. I followed your second step and went into the USB settings clear my cache and that remove the error thank you my friend.
Hououin Kyouma i
It's an alternative, but not actually fix anything @Ricardo
Cheers mate. Been having problems for days. Definitely not damp. Putting the charger in when android sign appears worked a treat. Cheers bro, life saver

IT WORKED THANK YOU SO MUCH I START SKL TOMORROW AND I WAS SO WORRIED
It’s happened to me couple of times and the best way to fix it is just put a drop of hand sanitizer or alcohol on cells and chargers , after 2-3 minutes dry it by paper towels or any kind paper. I’m sure it will work.
Omg this actually worked for me! I can't believe this! I'm so happy! Now I can live happily and peacefully while my phone is charging. And once it's at 100% I can make some tiktoks with it and play some games! Yay!
Thank you so much! I was scared I had ruined my Christmas present.

OK, thank you for the suggestions, Ricardo. One worked, and this is my story:
My message came on when I dropped a little water on my Note 9.
1000 videos and you are the only one with an actual fix to the problem instead of work around. Bless!... and why you sound like a yardie?
Thank you so much it worked for me the half plug in and then plug in when you see the the Samsung logo!!! You've just gotten yourself a like and a sub.
Thanks my dude, that really helped, my phone is charging again
Very nice
but did the water mark showed again ???
could you imagine that my phone fell in a bowl of hot soup.i was doing something and then my phone just slipped and fell into the bowl of soup. It blinked off for awhile and then came back on .It was in a case but the the port was exposed,so i immediately tried to dry it ,but began to get the moisture in port error message even days after my phone was dried off.I'll try these methods tho.
Some pieces must have got stuck in it use a brush with little water but not too roughly and let it dry...that might help
Update?
you are amazing! according to follow what you said my husdand phone's water drop warning disappeared!! you really saved our life....Thank you for the big help!!
