    Worked for me thank god, was literally losing my mind. I feel like Samsung "sneakingly" do this to force people to buy more chargers or a wireless one when their phone should be working just fine, kinda crazy.

    This was amazing. I have tried imaginable suggestion I could find online, and nothing worked until I found your video. What a simple solution!!! You are the only one who understood that the problem might be with the fast charger. I did exactly what you said: I unplugged from the fast charger and used a direct ubs plug on my power strip, and lo and behold, it began charging again (after more than one year!), and it keeps charging now even with the fast charger. Thank you!!!

    S21 - clearing cache didn't work, optimizing apps didn't work. Cleaned port with isopropol and compressed air (no hair dryer); didn't seem to work. Plugged in a slow charger (phone off), got the moisture warning. Ignored it and started phone. Phone started to charge. Let it charge a few %, then tried a fast charger - that now worked! Everything seems healthy now. Thanks!

    If anyone else is having trouble with step 3 - try plugging your phone in, once the alert comes up (and won't go away after a few seconds), then unplug your phone a little bit (so the phone is no longer charging but the plug is still in the charging port), then plug it back in - thats what worked for me!! I also used a fast charger tho (its all I had on me), I just disabled fast charging in my settings 😊 thanks for the video!!

    Hi. I want to say a big Thank you to you for posting this short but excellent useful video for moisture detecting warning.
    As you mentioned my Samsung note 10 phone kept showing that annoying charging error and didn't allow me to charge my phone. As you mentioned I tried each and every thing everyone mentioned in the you tube. I spent almost 6 hours trying to fix the problem. My husband also has a note 10 , so I could do some wireless charging to keep my phone alive. I got so tired that finally I was thinking of doing a factory reset which I didn't want to do since I have lot of useful data on my phone. Thought of trying one more video and got your video. I had already done the previous two things you had shown so tried the 3rd step you showed and you know what it worked! The moisture detection warning has gone and I am able to charge my phone now.

  • @jules747400
    @jules747400 3 роки тому +5

    I found a similar but more simple way, especially for guys like me that don't have hair dryers. All you need is:
    - something tiny and pointy (toothpick or dental floss pick)
    - something sanitizing (rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer)
    - one little square of toilet paper, or maybe even a very thin microfiber cloth if one can actually fit in there (not sure)
    1. take the toilet paper and put a tiny amount of alcohol/sanitizer on it so it feels very slightly damp
    2. wrap that toilet paper around the end of the pick you are using
    3. gently poke the pick into the port and rub both sides of the USB conductor to wipe dirt off
    4. repeat step 3 except with a piece or dry toilet paper to remove any leftover cleaner or any actual real moisture that was in there before.
    This took all of 60 seconds and worked perfectly the first attempt. For me, the port was just dirty. Oh, and yes, turn your phone OFF when you are doing this.
    EDIT: Don't use a Q-tip! That cotton can get stuck on the USB conductor and you don't want to be leaving pieces of debris like that in there. Worse still, the plastic part behind the swap can scratch the interior, which is exactly the opposite of what you want to be doing. If anything is unavailable, use your best judgment - the idea is you use a sanitizing cleaner which dries very quickly, put it on some material that can clean without leaving residue of its own, and you are poking into the port with anything very thin and pointy. EZ

    • @Hindsight101
      @Hindsight101  3 роки тому +1

      So a couple of things
      1. I have seen a lot of comments about men net having a hair dryer. I live with 3 women so I used what was available. But you could also use a heat gun or if your phone is that important find a woman and borrow theirs.
      2. I can slightly agree about the Qtip comment. I would still use a Qtip but the quality of the Qtip does matter. I hate the plastic ones and the cheaper they are the less cotton they use so that could be an issue. But the more quality ones you should have no problem.
      3. I have to disagree with using a toothpick or floss pick because those could do harm as well if your not careful
      Just my thoughts but thanks for the comment

Anyway, I searched for an old charger cube and a l-o-n-g cord that my tablet hates and always gives me a slow charging message and used it on the phone -- phone off, plug the charger in and, voila, the display started to spin and it started charging on slow. It also reset the water drop icon at the top of the display. but you've save me (and other) a lot of frustration and a trip to the repair shop. Thanks for sharing your discovery of the slow charger!!!! Much appreciated.

    Just did Step 1 and went straight to Step 3! I didnt have my hair dryer with me, as that one has a cool air setting, so I didnt risk it. Grabbed a normal charging cord with a normal speed port. Alarm went off again but I quickly unplugged it- waited a few seconds. Plugged it back in and Ta-Da!! Its charging now as I type!! Thank you for the suggestions. Glad its working again! 👍🏼

    Thank you for your suggestion... The third solution has done wonder for me... Just after waking up this morning I put my Galaxy S23 (which I bought just last month) on charge and suddenly the moisture warning popped out without any reason. I thought I was doomed until I came across your video. Thanks a ton.
    I put my device on charge with a normal Samsung charger lying around and the phone started charging again. It was initially at 34% and after charging it till about 60%, I switched off the charging and booted my phone on and plugged in with the fast charger and its charging now.

    If you get this error and are certain liquid hasn't been near the port, plug it in to a non-fast charger while off, charge to 10-15% and turn it back on. Error disappeared for me.

    Yah, my phone was not wet or near moister. It just decided to give me this obnoxious error.

    The third one worked!!! Tried the cleaning, the cache clearing, the Samsung boot screen bypass, none of which worked. Even the rice overnight didn't work. For some reason, using the slow charger worked. Only then did we switch to the fast charger, which oddly enough no longer gives the error. So thank you for this!

    The moisture warning came on my Note 9 a few days ago and I have searched Samsund support and all types of help from various UA-cam and tech sites and yours is the only one that worked. I had tried step one several times and used compressed air to no avail. I was skeptical of using the alcohol cleaning being worried of putting any kind of liquid into the phone. Using a cotton Q-tip scared me as well. But your step three using an older model non-fast charge charger seems to have worked! I so appreciate it.

    I previously left a question, and the answer to that is that a 2.0 amp brick charger will do the trick just fine. I still have several Samsung OE 2.0A bricks. I tried all of these before I even started looking for online answers, but that last one about powering down, plugging in an old school 2.0A and being patient while the phone figures out what it's supposed to do. This one worked great.
    ⭐⭐ 👍🌟👍⭐⭐
    Thank you for this one! Finally, one that worked. I don't know if everything has to be done first, but this one is where it started charging again.
    Once you get the % with a spinning tracer, I was able to power it back up, wait for the OS to load, I went to my battery settings, unplugged, and plugged my fast charge in.

    Got a Samsung Galaxy S23Fe. Had this warning popup on my phone as well. First time I have ever seen this in my entire Mobile phone days lol. Anyway thanks for the video. I got it fixed pretty quick. I used the solution used for cleaning Spectacles, cotton tip to clean and dry it. then put it Infront of my mini fan for 2 minutes. I then used a USB on my computer to charge instead of a low voltage charger and it worked. Cheers :)

    Luckily i found this video! This still works! My child has a Galaxy S21 FE and it went dead last night. It never got near moisture so we arent sure why we were getting this warning. It would not charge. We dried it in bag of rice overnight, which has worked for me in the past. Cleaned with alcohol. Still got the warning. Then we used the blow dryer this morning. Finally plugged it into a cable coming off of our lamp charger and it is charging now! Not sure if it will work with the fast charge yet. Will update after it is done charging on slow charge. Thank you!
