In this video we conduct a prompted ADI Part 2 mock driving assessment in Featherstone.
Here, you will see that even a very experienced driver, who has had many years of accident-free driving, can still develop a few habits that detract from the overall efficiency of this performance.
The ADI part 2 test is similar in format to the original practical novice style driving test, but the overall standard expected is much higher. You need to show expert-level driving skills in different road and traffic conditions, and excellent Highway Code knowledge.
The goal of this exercise is to re-sharpen Hannah's driving and bring in to focus every little decision and detail, so that eventually she can critically analyse another driver (part 3 training).
Driving Instructor Training:
This driving tutorial is an assessment and remedial driving lesson. We use Client-Centred Coaching (CCL), to help a pupil with many years of driving experience. Therefore, this video may also be useful for other driving instructors looking to improve their teaching methods.

I seen some horrible adi mock tests, this one is first good one.. She is good enough for instructor.. And like 80 + percent of others are not so good on mock test.. Although because she goes pretty fast through roundabouts and i know she looks at mirrows but question is how would that be seeing by the examiner if she don't move her head so much :)))
Thanks for your comments, John. You're right. She needs to move her head a little so that it gives an impression of looking. She does say that she uses her mirrors a lot. She also passed her Part 2 last week, first attempt. Best wishes

Driving forward in to a bay.
When pulling off from the side of the road... I've been told by my adi instructor you no longer need to do a full 360 check? As it takes to long and allows other cars to come during the checks, when you could have pulled Away? I've been told to only check interior and over your shoulder of the side you're pulling out on? Is this correct ?
Effective observations are always necessary. That means all-around checks.

She is an experienced driver, asking questions.
@@RioDrivingSchool I don't question her experience, I just notice that she is very easy distracted by talking to much, if I remember she had other instance when she followed different direction, but in any case she was asking constantly again after 3-4 sec the instruction.

you'll see just why I do this. She will be an ADI one day and needs to be able to cope with all these distractions. She will be giving instruction, reacting to what's going on inside and outside the car, managing anxieties. It's a tough game. It's a method I use to toughen up concentration skills. Questionable, perhaps. I think it works.
