"... the other half is laser beams." That was a good fun, solid game. Remember, while real action heroes don't turn round to look at explosions, they can glance in the rearview mirror and make a pithy remark, "Well, that mission was... a real blast."
In the movie in my mind’s eye, the moment Striker jumps out of cover, Lunchbox yells, “GodDAMN IT Striker!” Also, Lunchbox is definitely played by Bobby Draper from The Expanse.
I've always wanted a set of Stony Man. Mack, Able Team and Phoenix minis. And Paradine as a bad guy mini. And I gotta have a Laser Wagon. Yeah, I'm a 53 year old fanboy.
Rick Roll???? Ive never seen such an appropriately named mini. LOL The multiple poses is great. You could do them as different characters but I love the idea of having pose alternates. This is a pretty cool looking game. The mechanics became even easier to understand as you played. Being a top tier operative vs a green cartel thus is very telling. Totally shows how Stallone and Schwarzenegger can mow down entire groups of thugs and barely get scratched.
Woo hoo first. I hope the game I'm writing still has some original elements. Ash, you're reviewing so smuvh so fast I can't keep up. Good work as always
What scale are those die cast vehicles? The trucks you used with this, Kontraband and Don’t Look Back look like the very closely match scale of the minis.
Hey Ash, I played what is likely a simplified version of this mission with the author and had a question about the solo play at 15:32ish. When Striker gets two suppression markers and then kills the enemy with his pistol, doesn’t he need to rest to remove the suppression first? That’s how it worked in the demo I played. Also why do you call them “pins”? Is that a wargaming term? I’m a D&D refugee who is falling in love with squad level wargaming!
Are the minis plastic, metal, or resin? And man, I had an idea for a minis game that was based on 80s action movies and then this pops up a week later!
it would be a perfect video, if the camera wasn't moving all along with your head. I couldn't last more than 8 minutes without having nausea. Too bad i wanted to discover more this game.
Ah nice, love seeing my terrain in action. Corvus Games Terrain
LOL Stony Man Group from those old Executioner books
The 80's music references! Buzzcocks and Dead Kennedys - nice!
You need to play this with Jay. It would be hilarious
...and it will be!

OMG!!!! Hasta la vista, baby.
When you said Stoney Man I spit taked. Thank you
I was wondering whether that was in the rulebook, or if Ash had the same reading material growing up as I did. Beretta 93-R, anyone?
That's a nice simple system for a bit of 80s inspired mayhem - yipee-kay-ay melon farmers!
I know this is supposed to be 80s action movie, but I totally get Tom Clancy Clear and Present Danger and Rainbow 6 vibes.
I was thinking Clear And Present Danger the whole time. Glad I wasn't the only one!
Was curious about this game having seen some of the pre Kickstarter posts. Once again Ash provides the info!
Just went elite
This is basically Commando, the TTG!

Stony man? Striker? Someone's a fan of Don Pendleton's books.
The designer 'might' have been on a binge of reading those when he designed the game...at least that's the rumour...

Get to the choppa! You need Sly Marbo! He could do it all by himself.
I made my own proxy sly marbo.
He's not good and I'm actually pretty ashamed in you.

Awesome thanks for the video 👍 did you work with Darren back in the day lol
Darren and I worked together out west for years.
This looks right up my alley. Pretty much Jagged Alliance but tabletop. What scale die-cast cars do you use?

Are the mini's available as stl's in the kick starter?
Hello. How realistic these rules look compared to Spectre Operations. What is the scale of the miniature 28mm to the eye?
Another great video Ash, cool game...where's the game mat from and what's it called?
It’s an old FLG swamp mat

The actual launch minis will be plastic.
At the very bottom of the kickstarter they mention they're Siores which is a newer plastic.
The final models will be thermoplastic resin, using SiOres hard.
Hi we’re can I buy the game from please
