Both products are definitely aimed for different use: Kerastase is more of a finishing product, more "cosmetically pleasing" due to the silicon and alcohols, while the Briogeo appears to be aimed to super dry hair, or more as a pre-shampoo.

The Kerastace with Silicones is great for heat protection. The Briogeo an oil is good just DONT use it with heat it’ll fry your hair. The 2 products r completely different. They do 2 completely different things. I would use Briogeo as a treatment for damaged or dry hair. Products with silicones r fantastic for heat styling. ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you

I tried the Briogeo oil a few weeks ago on dry hair and was hoping it would leave me with a nice natural silky feel to the hair with shine and my hair looked the exact same as yours!! I thought I must be crazy because its an Allure winner and so many people love it but I was so disappointed it made my hair looks greasy like that! hoping the olaplex one sits better

I like that briogeo oil, but I wish they hadn’t discontinued the rosarco oil, which was a better product, in my opinion, and had a better scent. ☹️ This new briogeo oil also makes my skin break out wherever my hair touches my face, so that’s not great. Other oils I like are the one from Bread beauty, but that one is more for type 3-4 curls, so maybe not right for you, and the oil from Virtue. If you have not tried Virtue products yet, I would be curious to know your thoughts. Thanks for the thorough informational video!!! 😘

Hi Heidi you look beautiful as always.i like the Kérastase side. I think the Briogeo looked a little to heavy for your hair. I have tried some oils that I cannot use due to them making my hair to oily. Thanks for the video I always enjoy and look forward to Wednesday and sundays. 😊

Heidi and btw, I finally bought the blow dryer brush you recommend , and I absolutely love it. It’s so much easier to when you have long hair. Instead of having to blow dry then straighten. That dryer brush is a lifesaver.

My grandma is 97 and I was afraid I wasn’t going to get to see her. My mom arranged for her to get out luckily I was able to come. I shouldn’t have as nursing homes are hit hard. I didn’t want Christmas last year to be the last time I see her. I don’t know if I’ll feel safe going to visit her as much after all of this as I have underlying health conditions. My brother isn’t coming in for Christmas I have a feeling. Holidays will be weird this year and it’s been making me moody. I hope you try the living proof! Keep us posted :)

I have the Briogeo oil and also find that you don't need a lot. A drop or two is more than enough so it'll take me forever to use up since I have fine hair. I guess someone with thicker hair would probably go through it faster.
The first ingredient in the Kerastase serum is also a silicone, by the way. Silicones typically end in "cone" or "xane". :)

Great review. Without a doubt, the Kerastase side definitely looks more better! If you’re going to be purchasing anymore oils, I would definitely recommend Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. Maybe start off with the travel size if you can - it’s not cheap. 😬

The briogeo oil is better on damp hair after washing before blowdrying. I really like that its silicone free and surprisingly lasts long.

I feel it’s not a true comparison if the Bridges wasn’t applied as instructed. Depends on hair type but the 6 drops on one side was way too much applied, hence the greasy feeling and look. Perhaps another try using it per directions (just 1-2 drops per section) would have made a difference in comparison.

This video was very informative I love that she showed both differences. You did a very good job in this video. I usually don’t comment on posts I like but I felt like she did such a good job i definitely needed to say something lol. This oil right now is it going for about $80 on Amazon. I bought it before I saw this review lol I can’t wait to try it now for I have very dry overly dyed damaged hair. So I’m hoping it will help as a good heat resistance.

The Briogeo is a treatment and a small amount goes a long way, you are only supposed to use 2-3 drops and at the most 4, you used 6 drops.
There was a clear difference for sure, I'm not sure if it's because you used 6 drops of briogeo but the briogeo side looked wet almost and weighed down. I think hands down kerastase looked SO much better! I'm doing a modified CG method and find that i need siliicones but silicone free doesn't fully moisturize my hair and the more natural products really weigh my hair down.
I'd love to see comparison between kerastase oleo-relax oil and kerastase elixir ultime oil.

I think you used too much briogeo oil. I have about the same length/thickness of hair and I use 2 drops per side. I rarely need more than that! A little goes a loooong way. It makes it smooth, soft, shiny and less frizzy but not greasy looking. I used too much my very first time and my hair looked greasy too. So, less is more!

How about compare a cheap oil like Garnier fructis sleek & shine at 4.99 to an expensive oil? We have been taught that hair care products must be pricey & expensive, but I've seen a lot of normal priced products work just as well. I've watched black women's vids on hair care and their products are decent priced and they work great.

Tus videos son super utiles Heidi! he tenido unas semanas revisando casi todos los que estuvieron relacionados a los productos que he querido comprar de la kerastase. Ahora se que para mi tipo de cabello (raices grasas, puntas muy secas y muy largo) algo como el de Oleo-relax me ira muy buen. Amo un buen aceite nutritivo con sus ventajas, y como de por si uso champus aclarantes para controlar el sebo, este me vendra de maravilla! Hola Guapa Heidi, podrías hacer un Ranking 10 Ten Best Oils ( Higher End & Drugstore) ....hay varios aceitikos drugstores que van a la pelea y que dan buenos reviews ( Elseve/ELvive de Loreal, Garnier, Tresemme, Pantene, Matrix, Biolage etc) yo misma me acabo de comprar jajaja 2 Aceites de OGX de Aragan que tienes excellentes reviews tengo el de Olaplex pero no encuentro que haga buaaaa la mega diferencia....otro Aceite que me gusta muchísimo y da un brillo espectacular es de Alfaparf Milano Semi di Lino Sublime Cristalli asi que si puedes pegarle un manotazo a esa linea italiana es buenísima. un abrazo querida!

I personally adore morraconoil and matrix Amla oil. But I know kerstaste is one of the best hair brands. If you want something less expensive, but does the job, I really recommend these 2. I know morrocanoil oil you tried, but I do not know about matrix oil🤗🤗

The problem with oils is the hair sits on the skin on the sides of the face , back and shoulders this can give you bumpy skin texture
Something to consider if you have oily skin or your hair needs too much product applied right at that point. Also could be true, for oils that take a while to absorb. But so many these days absorb very fast.
I want to ask we should apply this hair oil before shampoo or after shampoo

Hey Heidi, so I'm US based and was wondering if you or if anyone else has heard of Kerastase products at sephora being fake or old? A few people have been commenting that kerastase products on sephora's website have different ingredients than the ones on the actual kerastase website so wanted to know if anyone knew anything about that or had experienced anything with purchasing from Sephora? I checked both websites and the ingredients are different so I'm feeling a bit hesitant to purchase from sephora.

The Kerastase oleo relax ist one of my favorite oils I love the smell and it has amazing results when you use it on wet hair. Can you tell us if the briogeo one get absorbed after a few minutes or hours? Hope you are doing well by the way ♥️♥️♥️
2 days later and the Briogeo sode still looks wierd and dryer. Yes, maybe 4 hours later it absorbed. I think it is indeed more of a treatment. Hugs 🤗
I think the Brigeo is intended for wet hair which then needs to be styled. I wonder if that would bring a different result?

I'm wondering if all the hair oil that is yellow is contributing to dulling blond hair. Then u need purple mask/poo to brighten it again. Vicious cycle? Very few clear oils

You should use less of the Briogeo oil. I think you used too much😊 Better to start with less because you can always add more. I have fine hair, but a lot of it and it doesn’t feel greasy, but I only use 2-3 drops. Hope that helps.

A word of advice: look for fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.
