Hard to believe that this song is over 30 years old…way before fast double bass and blast beats were the norm in metal. Pete Sandoval and Steve Asheim are The Godfathers of extreme drumming.
@@Dodsmetall still before everyone else even did blast beats or super fast double bass, He was the first one to do that he basically invented it. (Pete Sandoval not Khrim)
Damn! This is one of the best drum covers i have ever seen in my life. Performing this song at this level with that much power in every single beat is INSANE. That fill at 3:25 just blowed my mind. No words man, no words, only congrats.
This is WHY VERY FEW BANDS Play Morbid Angel covers !! Morbid Angel, & Cannibal corpse in my opinion are very hard and technical to play LIVE !! This Drummer no doubt has excellent technique but look how tired he got at the End, and that was only one song. He looked beaten, and Grasping for Air at the End ! Pete Sandoval was really a Monster back in the 90's and early parr of 2000 s !!!
I like the fact that you performed the blast beats in this song with one foot instead of your usual two-foot blasts. It’s sign of cover done by a true professional when the drummer alters their comfortable style to emulate the style of the original drummers. Well done!
Dude PETE SANDOVAL is not only the king of the blast beat-- he’s one of the greatest drummers EVER!!!!! I was right in front of Rutan when they came to Pittsburgh in 1995 on the domination tour and they opened up with this song!!!! I’m here to tell you right now-- that was perfect!!!! I know every Morbid Angel song behind the drum kit from every album from the past 35 years-- and before I even have my own band practice with my own band--I play 10 to 15 MORBID ANGEL songs before we play our 15 original songs!!!! You did such an amazing job not only with your playing but with your sound and you played it exactly like Pete!!!! Great job my brother!!! I will pass this on to Trey, ERIK, STEVE AND SCOTTY!!!!! PETE-- He’s killing it with TERRORIZER!!!! And you are killing it with your drumming!!!!! keep up the great work!!!! - Christian ❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤘🤘🥃🥃♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😄
This is exactly why King Krimh is so damn great. Timing is tight…from the double bass to the fills and back again. You can tell a drummer is for real when they do a cover, but play every note as heard on the album. This guy’s been in some serious bands and still played it as written. That’s a fan of music
Well done KRIMH! Excelent choice (my fav Morbid Angel record!) and tight playing as always. I love the trademark floor tom accents Pete uses while playing double kick patterns, yours sounds like a Godzilla stomp (great mix by the way). They are for sure a huge influence on Gojira, it's noticeable in their three first records...and that's why I love their old songs.
Pete Sandoval, the guy who inspired me to pick up the sticks. I think it was in -91 that they visited Sweden and I got to meet them. Now I guess I'll have a MA marathon behind the kit for a week. Awesome cover!
This is my first time hearing Morbid Angel and oh boy, have I been missing out. This was a blast to listen to and watch. My neck is sore from headbanging so hard lmao. Great work Krimh!
pete is so influential and so so special to death metal i don't think it would sound how it does now without him. respect to all the old guard. beautiful cover!
absolutely SPOT ON with the kicks. not just the accuracy but also the feel of them having some element of groove, rather than someone panicking through them as fast as they can play. deftly executed, chief.
One of my all-time favorite math homework songs at school hhhhh..This song was already rolling so awesome back then. Krimh always nails it fluently !!! That is simply pure PLEASURE
Awesome cover, awesome playing. If I had to show someone THE death metal song, I’d show them this song; this song has everything, great song, great riffs, a bit of melody, great vocals performance, great solos, and the drumming is everything a metal song should be. Pretty much a perfect song.
You made me happy with this piece. Morbid Angel is a class of its own. For me, number one then and now, and I'm 40 years old, and still headbanging to this one !!!! Thanks Krimh and keep up the awesome work !!!!!!! Big Fan of Yours.
Krimh you shred the drum kit all the time, does not really matter what kind of genere you are playing. You rule man! And thank you for this great cover. Domination was the very first Morbid Angel record that I owned and even now I still believe is a very strong great record in their discography.
The virtuosity is the drumming in Morbid Angel is unparalleled! It's so good, unique and creative. You did a perfect cover and it's a great hommage to the legend that is Pete Sandoval!
Pete is a time traveler and knows how to implement the euphorias, He breaths passion and will always be a huge part of my life’s journey on this planet. 🌎
DUDE!!!! This is my all time favorite Morbid Angel song. So amped on this. I pulled a lot of inspiration from this album when writing the Deflorate BDM album. That and the Negation. ❤️
great take, what made this great was the division of the bass and blasts imo, it had groove in some weird fast death way, it wasn't just speed obviously, and man o man the subtle speed on the toms and upper cymbal (crest) hits... awesomeness
You nailed it. The early Morbid stuff was killer. My favorite albums are "Covenant" and "Domination". Amazing stuff on those two albums. I dig your George Kollias footwork! Hehehe!
Dude! That was absolutely amazing. I was not expecting Morbid Angel, excellent song choice too. Love the quality sound of your kicks on this one. \m/-.-' very mean!

I thought it would be appropriate in this case to do a one foot blast
One footed and wrists
that's Pete style 🤘

It's not about the speed, it's the perfect weight of each note, so powerful and precise at the same time. Outstanding job!
