Wow Euge not only are you one hell of a killer guitar player but also a killer guitar tech,I think everyone should learn how to work on there own guitars I was fortunate to learn from my best friend who is a guitar tech also there no better feeling than knowing you have set your guitar up the way you want it.Thank for all the videos Euge the reverse head stock looks kick ass on that guitar now.
I've bought a few Warmoth necks. I can't buy a production guitar anymore, mainly because with Warmoth I can get the neck specs that I want, not what a guitar brand wants to sell me. I finally figured out that I like a smaller radius fingerboard, like 9". I don't like flat fretboards. I love stainless frets too. I never have to worry about refretting.
Hey brother, just wanted to say hello from San Antonio Texas. Big fan of your channel. Keep up the great work, you have no idea of how helpful you are to those of us around the globe. And I still can't pronounce your name correctly but i'm working on it! Maybe it's my Texas accent that's getting in the way....
Those sound great. I’ve never looked into warmouth parts but have heard good things. I also like the Machine Gun Man reference when you place the clean stuff 😃
I kind of want to do a Fast Eddie Clarke type Stratocaster build with EMGs, as well as a purple metal flake guitar from Warmoth. I'd probably have them do the finishing, so I don't have to. I couldndo it, I'm sure, if not for my lack of patience. The curing really would try my patience.
My favorite guitars are my Warmoth custom builds! Custom guitars at affordable prices! Hey Euge have you ever used Seymour Duncan Black outs! I like them more than EMG! Thanks for sharing 🤟
Brother awesome vid..can watch mods all day long.. such a great thing to make them your own.. I have owned an EBMM evh and have a Peavy Wolfgang standard.. both had great necks - asymmetric carve but both had R2 nuts like his old fender necks.. surprised the Frankie had and R3 at 43mm?.. maybe is what he used during that era?..awesome builds!!!
You have one hell of a setup brother. ESP all the way! This is very random but have you thought about reviewing a buckethead signature guitar? Those are hard to come by now a days but a great guitar and a very underrated guitar player. Love the vids!
Great vid Euge. Love the look and sound of your worn guitar that you put the new neck on. I've always wondered what your electric bill is with all those amps running?🤣🤘
Awesome playing!! Best player on UA-cam for me. Question, is the neck pocket on the frankie standard fender measurements? Want a frankie but want a conversion neck for my miniature hands!!!!
Hey Euge, love your channel! Quick question, I have one of the solid color relic Frankies, great guitars. I thought the necks on those were wider at the neck pocket than Fender/Warmoth necks (2.25"/57.2mm vs 2.188"/55.6mm) . Was there a gap when you put the Warmoth neck on the Frankie? I'll have to measure mine when I get home I guess.
Thanks! A tiny gap but it doesn’t matter to me. The neck is in place very solidly and I haven’t had any problems with it since I made this a few weeks ago and I’ve played a lot with both ever since.
awesome stuff Euge, i've spent way too long on their website dreaming up custom builds just wondering do you feel the tone changed much after the neck change if at all? or basically a general improvement as it's nicer to play? thanks
Thanks! Not all since it’s the same neck as the previous one but just with reversed headstock and SS frets. Well maybe the feel is a bit slinkier ’cos of the SS frets but that’s it. The change was purely for aesthetical reasons 😎. And to have the old neck to the Frankie which had too thin neck for my taste.
@@EugeValovirta230V ah awesome, i'm always concerned with how that might change the guitar, i refretted a cheapo telecaster instead of getting a new neck because of that 😆 300 euro refret into a 280 euro guitar as the frets were so worn, but was totally worth it, had the guitar over 10 years now
Damn they turned out awesome man! You play eddie riffs really good too Euge. Have you ever used hip shot tuners? They are extremely good quality and work excellent imo. They have reduced height one also so you can eliminate string trees on fender style headstock, and they work awesome too.
Are you referring to the warmoth tilt back headstock? Or does warmoth have an option for a thinner or different cut headstock that eliminates string trees? Cheers.
I bought a nice Warmoth neck a few years ago for my MIM Frankenstrat. I made some errors in how I designed it and wish I went another route but overall its really well built. I can't stand that the neck needs to be removed for truss rod adjustment (guy at Warmoth said its not a big deal. Ya no..BS) but the roasting on it is really nice and it plays fine. If I had Jumbo SS frets ordered instead I'd like it even more. But as someone in Canada? Holy crap they're expensive. I think it cost me $600 CDN, landed @_@
Question for you sir. I have a Jackson dinky with a 12-16in radius with a Floyd. Should the radius of the Floyd rose saddles be 12in, or 16in? and if it's 16, do you have any recommendations for which spacers I'll need? Thanks for your time 🤘
Good question. I think it’s about personal preferences. I have 12” Floyd and 10” nut on every guitar and my neck radiuses on different guitars are full 12”, full 16” and 12-16”. Except my N4 which has a 10” radius neck and on that one both Floyd and nut are 10”. I tried different radiuses on that and 10” felt the best to me. I don’t know. I’ve sometimes cut a piece from Coca-Cola can for a shim so whatever works 😎👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V I suppose that makes sense. I just wasn't sure if there was a "correct way" but it seems like more of personal preference and or trial and error. Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.
Hey Euge, great vid. I want to fit a non recessed Floyd onto a Strat guitar kit I'm busy building. I have read that the neck has to be shimmed a little to get an angle so the action isn't too high. Is this something you have needed to do on the Warmoth guitar?
Thanks! I use the FU-tone blocker so I keep the Floyd pretty high so it’s not resting to the body. I tried that with the Frankie but I like my springs to be really tight so the Floyd sunk a bit to the body so the FU-Tones blocker works the best. I’ve actually raised the neck with a shim on one of my 80s ESPs so that I can have the bridge higher and so that the EVH drop tuna is usable. I didn’t do anything to these guitars’ necks shim wise. All I did is in the video 👌.
It wasn’t so much to Switzerland. About 180€ on top of the neck price which isn’t much of a really high quality neck. I mean changing stainless steel frets by a top notch luthier costs more than than those together. At least in Switzerland.
Building my own frankie in matt black with a roasted maple neck / ebony fretboard. Inspired by this video!

I've done 4 Warmoth builds and they all turned out awesome. I really like the modern truss rod adjustment feature.
Yeah!
My favorite guitar i have is a warmoth body and musikraft neck. Both of those companies make incredible parts.
👌🎼
Warmoth makes the best parts. I just completed a Strat build with a Warmoth neck and it feels amazing.
Cool!
I got my first for Christmas and I love it.

I’ve been wanting to build out a warmoth for a long time now. Definitely a bucket list piece of gear
Love that new Warmoth neck on the ESP body. Great guitar there. nice neck change on the Frankenstrat too.
Thanks! But the body is Warmoth like I showed in the video (with the serial number).
Gotcha, just used to seeing the ESP from the neck.

Spray outside or inside with proper ventilation. Not safe to breathe lacquer vapors.
Ive got two warmoth builds, not gonna lie probably the most stable guitars i own.
