As someone who already owns a DF64E it's difficult to want to upgrade to a 83mm grinder because it just doesn't feel like it would be a big difference. A DF98 though...
At this point you could try to score a used EK43. The way this one is priced, its close to a used 1.5k Ek43. Real 98mm burrs with 1000w motor and recognized in specialty coffee shops all over the world
I'll be ordering mine more close to ship date. did the whole kickstarter thing with Timemore. not going through that again. I think this grinder will kick the crap out of the Sculptor 78s.

Will the brew burrs be able to grind fine enough for espresso (like the SSP MP burrs) or will they only be useable for filter (like the SSP Brew V1 and the sculptor 078). Is this something you could test and show in another video? Would be really interesting.
So, which would be better for high clarity sweet filter coffee with the ability to eventually do espresso, the df83v with brew burrs, or the df64 with upgraded ssp multi-purpose burrs? Very interested in these two grinders
MP offer the highest clarity, but despite the name, are usually not the best multi purpose (all purpose) espresso burrs. Stock burrs offer a nice balance.
On your website the silver version has a black block behind the shoot, will this be silver in the final version? And will they be changing the new on/off switch for something less obnoxious?

Yes, have tried the timemore with some friends. Unanimous everyone blindly chose 83V over 78 in multiple controlled brewing tests.

At the moment the DLC espresso burrs are in it. Will be doing brew burrs and some SSP options soon. the DLC brew can only do brew.
Interesting grinder. Tempted to do a pre-order, but I expected around a $600 price tag with the discount.

So this is a flat burr grinder, correct? Sorry for the benign question, as there is also the DF83 V2, which is a horizontal machine.
DF83 is an AC motor, this DF83V is a DC motor, variable speed, quite a bit different design. Both use the same burrs.
Can this Grind Coffee in Zero Gravity? I am thinking of taking it up in my rocket ship in 2024.

not sure about the black box. Believe it is plastic piece to hold the chute.
Is there an auger or pre-breaker inside? Easy to open and look in?

Has stalling been an issue for anyone?
Personally, have not had it stall even once. Have gone fine espresso setting and low RPM to make it potentially stall, and it does not.
