This song is beyond inspring. And congrats for the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame induction! I don't have enough words to explain how much that means to us. Saw you guys in Austin. OMG! We love you in Texas!!!
Glad the original 5 came back together one more time to make Astronaut with a bunch of modern producers. It was a nice album to cap an incredible career that started back in the 1980s. I know they continued with 3 of the members and they still make good music but it is so hard to match up to the talent of all five. What was amazing is that this was in 2000, 24 years after they started and then they came out with this fast paced dance song that matches anything they did from the 1980s with a modern bent. Paper Gods was not bad as of late, but this took the cake.
Saw an interview with I think Simon Le Bon or maybe Roger Taylor here on UA-cam a few days ago and they were talking about how during a time when so many of their contemporaries were focused on the harder side of life, they were always optimists who aspired to something positive. I never really realized that about the band but it's so obvious now that I think about it and I really appreciate that about them. I used to love to listen to The Bunnymen but I much prefer Duran Duran now as they are so aspirational.
