GrindingStone was such an epic race, I had a blast hitting all the slab stone and going for the gnarly lines! If you liked the video consider posting a screenshot to your instagram story and tagging @trailboundco cheers!
As an old desert racer I really enjoyed the narration and video quality of this video. Hopefully, one day there will be a camera that can capture how really steep the up and down hills really are.
I don't know why no one's made that a feature yet because it would be super easy to add. All stabilized cameras have IMUs that measure acceleration/gforce so would be easy to lock to the horizon vertically like GoPro has radial horizon lock (within the 170 degree FoV of course). It would work flawlessly on a 360 camera that isn't limited to a 170 degree FoV.
Awesome race man - great footage and great job finishing 2 laps. I entered in C class - my first race ever, and only made 8 miles. I love that kind of terrain but really wish I could have gotten there a few weeks earlier to get the feel a bit. I'll do better next year! Congrats again on 2 laps - that's badass!
@trailboundco How heavy is your throttle pull? Im running a lectron on a 2011 300xc and the throttle is really heavy, makes it hard to do finer throttle adjustments.
I got stuck in the same wedge at the IBS downhill. The bottlenecks were absolutely atrocious if you had a crap start like I did. Definitely my favorite race as well
Like the commentary and great ride. You mentioned how snapy you have your bike dialed with the Lectron vs your TPI bike. I came off a 17 250 KTM with a Lectron and bought 20 KTM 300. I ended up putting the GET ECU race Kit on it with Slaven's head and it's a different animal. Super snapy and revs out like the 250, but with more power. Happy with that purchase.
Great video and great riding! My crew and I are thinking about doing this one vnext year. I'll be in the C class only because they don't have a class that's slower LOL. Do they allow helmet mounted cameras? It sees like all the videos I've seen so far have chest mount. And do guys get frustrated with each other at the bottle necks?
thanks! should do it! they do have a 45+ class depending on your age also. yeah its an annoying AMA rule now that nothing can be mounted to the helmet. I didn't really have to deal with bottlenecks in this race now that I'm A it helps keep me in front of them but this course was pretty good about being wide and spreading out the bottlenecks. silver mountain last year was one pure bottleneck and it was so frustrating just sitting there for hours..this year I hope they can make it better
@@TrailBoundco I’ll miss the 45+ by one year next year. Guess I’ll just have to run in the back of the pack in C class. 😂 Though looking at the start, it looks like you really benefit from a good start
those are the evs wrister gloves amzn.to/370iXzc I've broken my wrists in the past from BMX so now my wrists are a little weak and get sore if I dont wear those gloves. they just give a little support, not hard core like some of the other options and they're easy to slip on and off like gloves
yep and its working great. I considered running the even softer and wider EH 140 to get more hookup when there was a light dusting of sand over the rocks but the traction was still really good with the 454 and just lasts so long
I actually put the wrong link. now days I'm running Michelin front and rear. the rear you have to buy undersized to get hard enduro pressure but it lasts much longer, higher quality rubber
Great ride good video too. Check out the IRC tire guy channel he tested all the hard enduro bikes. I believe he liked the Beta the best but I think the Sherco still had the best KYB tuned suspension so it kind of depends on your riding style on what bike will fit the best.
Let me know if you want me to edit another commentary for lap 2
Do it
Awesome video man, I would definitely watch lap 2. This race is on the list next year for sure!!
2nd lap please!!

"Let Jesus take the wheel" I am totally stealing that. Great video! Thank you!
Please do edit lap2

thanks man it was tough terrain but super cool! nice job pushing through 8 miles it was gnarly out there
This was awesome man! Good on yah and keep the content coming ✊🏻💨
thanks Brandon I appreciate the support
Can't wait to see the sherco vodeos! I love my sherco! Moved from a husky and never looked back!

Are you wearing wrist guards? If so, what kind and how do you like them?
I really like the 2017 through 2019 ktm 250xc and 300 absolutely amazing dirtbikes another reason I watch this channel .
Yeah me too, I've had all 3 but happened to find this 2018 with 20h (now ive got 200h on it). its a great bike now that i have the Lectron on it
Excellent - thanks!

oh man I'm glad I'm not the only one haha, felt dumb haha
You gunna finally make it to the east coast this year?
that was awesome !
We found that setting the top end just right is critical! Then go back to the metering rod and tune your bottom.

thanks, yeah I had the TSP mid/high/very high + flash that I played with on my gas gas 300 ec

great video. Thanks.
Do you wear those wrist braces for previous injuries or more just for the support? I’m looking for wrist support

Great riding! Looks Gnarly.
Nice riding! Looks sketchy! Still running the XT-454?

Going to update the stock battery for my 2020 tpi. Which one do you recommend?
I haven't figured out which one is the best but I wish I knew!
I know there are many variables but how many hours are you getting on the nitro mousse?
I actually put the wrong link. now days I'm running Michelin front and rear. the rear you have to buy undersized to get hard enduro pressure but it lasts much longer, higher quality rubber
@@TrailBoundco about how many hours do you get on the Michelin mousse?
nice !
I thought you got a gasgas 300? Are you back on your 250?
yeah but I got the Lectron on this bike and also a 300 head to convert it so its running super good
57 is Bradley Ward a british ex-supercross and ex-Pro Superbike racer.... bad man on a dirt bike
Does your new sherco have a kickstart too ?
the shercos dont have an option to add a kickstart like the KTM's do unfortunately
Try the Sherco man

I think the bet beta turning radius is just a little to narrow wide for me especially after riding my trials bike a lot. KYB would be sweet tho!
Is this on public land?
it's city land
Where’s the gas gas
My battery ended up dying too on my second lap, so glad I had a kickstarter -cycoenduro
