I've been watching a lot of dance videos lately because I'm a beginner. This one is by far, the best! Short, to the point, and very effective. I connected immediately to his style of teaching. Thank you, Kurt for sharing.
I've been watching several videos on this dance and this one is the best. Clear instructions and demonstrations are very good.
With names like Kurt Senser and Patty Purple you know this is the real deal. Thanks for the brush up you two.
A very instructive video. It makes the process of learning how to dance much more comprehensible. Even though he's my brother he is the most elegant instructor and dancer I've ever seen. Wayne and Laurie
So I just started learning to two step tonight and I must say from the beginning of the night to when we ended our evening, it least I didn't fall on my face lol. This video was definitely helpful. I wish I would've seen this before I went out lol. Now I'm going to be on UA-cam all night learning how to do different dances. Thank you
P's...im on my gf UA-cam lol
I miss this in a major way. The local club closed due to some legal complications. I used to go two two stepping a lot. Many thanks! I used to do the Sweetheart Schottische a lot and the El Paso in addition and the Country Swing.
Excellently presented, very clear. Thanks for doing it on all the perspectives. I think I know what I'm asking for for Christmas.
This instruction works for me...simple,to the point,...only one suggestion..one time around with music would be good addition. Good job, thanks.
best intro into the basic two step. excellent teaser!!!
Nice straightforward instruction, and a real teaser. It doesn't get them out of the cape/cuddle at the end. ;-)
Great video... Very informative. Thanks for the refresher course!
Good teacher. Thank you.
Awesome video Kurt, Thank you for posting! Could you count it as.... 1 2 3,- 5 ? A great dancer and friend of mine, once taught me to dance and count it as. 1 2 3, - 5. May he R.I.P ❤️🙏🙏🙏😎
Cute. Informative video.
Funny, Patty Purple. The girl in the other video was Karen Yellow? hehehe
I was wanting to download your beginner video but on your online store it looks like you only have intermediate available. Is the basic available. I need it for Friday.
very useful video :)
Glad to hear..
Glad you enjoyed it! Best wishes!
In part due to a question below: This is a Progressive or Line of Dance dance. That means you circle to floor in a counter-clockwise direction. In a Spot Dance, you stay in the same few square feet. Swing is an example. If you try to do this Two-step. the day will come when you will have to contend with couples who do not know that this is a Progressive Dance. They Swing, blocking the outer ring of the floor. People, people. If you Spot Dance, do it in the center of the floor!
aswm... vedio
It's important to point out in each & every video that there are ONLY two (2) dance styles done on ANY social Dance Club/Lounge anywhere in the World. Spot/Rhythm & Progressive/Traveling. The congestion Problem (s) we all run into these days is that Dance Instructors do not continually reinforce (Over & Over/ Ad Nauseum ),...... All Spot/Rhythm Dance Styles should be done in the CENTER of the Dance Floor,......Progressive/Traveling Dance Styles are done in the two (2) outside lanes of the Dance Floor. Slower Progressive/Traveling Dancers on the inside Lane & the faster moving dances in the Outside FAST Lane. This way, we can ALL perform our dance of choice at the very same time to each particular Music Selection. Thank You!
Where is this guy from? He’s obviously not been in a Texas dance hall. Looks like he’s doing same as what’s on Texas two step videos....plain two step not the same.
Seems there's no end to Texans yappin' about the Texas two step, yet not ONE of you can ever describe the drunken stumbling mess you keep yappin about... care to make a video showin' us exactly what you mean?
I need an understanding dance partner. 😁
haha Patty Purple and she's wearing purple shirt
texas
Start the dance with "Slow, quick-quick". It's safer.
Nothing was mentioned about the music... dancing on the down beats... or the tempo BPM's!
six count right? one two three hold five hold, -> six counts
Yes, that is correct on the six count.
I think it would be more helpful in the future if instead of saying quick quick slow slow, (which is a lie) you actually count 1-2-3-hold-5-hold-1-2-3-hold-5-hold... etc.
I found out that when I started counting like that for my salsa lessons (1-2-3-hold-5-6-7-hold-1-2-3-hold-5-6-7-hold, instead of the typical 1-2-3, 5-6-7 or the quick-quick-slow, quick-quick-slow (which is also a lie)), the students seem to get it faster. Specially the boys.
Thanks for the feed back. I will give that a try.
