It's important to point out in each & every video that there are ONLY two (2) dance styles done on ANY social Dance Club/Lounge anywhere in the World. Spot/Rhythm & Progressive/Traveling. The congestion Problem (s) we all run into these days is that Dance Instructors do not continually reinforce (Over & Over/ Ad Nauseum ),...... All Spot/Rhythm Dance Styles should be done in the CENTER of the Dance Floor,......Progressive/Traveling Dance Styles are done in the two (2) outside lanes of the Dance Floor. Slower Progressive/Traveling Dancers on the inside Lane & the faster moving dances in the Outside FAST Lane. This way, we can ALL perform our dance of choice at the very same time to each particular Music Selection. Thank You!
The timing is much like bachata- slow slow quick quick
Thanks I needed a refresher.
Thanks for the breakdown you made it very nice and easy and simple and I appreciate it so much
Thanks Rebecca, I am glad it was helpful. Good luck in your Hustle endeavor.
Curious, why do you dance 4 steps but only count to 3?
We dance sometimes on the half step, Meaning when you count 1, 2, & 3 you are stepping 4 times. So the & is also a step. When we dance on the & step it is a faster step then the normal count.
Sept 15, 2021: One of the better hustle videos for beginners around. Would have been better if he gave more instruction for the follower.
They classes in Central park on Tuesday 530 72nd near the fountain
Great video. Atlanta raises some great dancers.
Awesome video Kurt, Thank you for posting! Could you count it as.... 1 2 3,- 5 ? A great dancer and friend of mine, once taught me to dance and count it as. 1 2 3, - 5. May he R.I.P ❤️🙏🙏🙏😎
Good explanation and demonstration of basics. Thank you!
I’m sorry… But am I missing something? I’m the follower, and I feel like this video is only for leaders.
Agree-should have more instruction for the follower
Best instructor on Two Step- thanks!!!
Your pants are so distracting bc they’re sloppy and loose. Hard to see the move
Keep bringin' it Kurt. Connectedness through social dance will be back after this brief station break.
Good teacher, is this 3 steps hustle or 4 steps hustle?
Good teacher. Thank you.
Very good instructions 👍❤️
I need an understanding dance partner. 😁
Did u know Joe has ligma
Nothing was mentioned about the music... dancing on the down beats... or the tempo BPM's!
Excellent
how do I get your intermediate instruction? My husband and I really like your videos .
Which DVD were you wanting?
Smooth moves and great instruction!
This is the hustle dance moves Ice been looking for. This is how we danced in the late 70s and early 80s. Not the line dancing version! Thanks for upload.
Nice straightforward instruction, and a real teaser. It doesn't get them out of the cape/cuddle at the end. ;-)
I am a beginner and I just did this routine at a class last night. Your video helped me to solidify what I just learned. You are a great teacher and make it very easy to understand. There's not a lot of extra visual distractions so I can concentrate on learning. I like how you both wear jeans for us casual, social dancers. Thank you!
I've been watching a lot of dance videos lately because I'm a beginner. This one is by far, the best! Short, to the point, and very effective. I connected immediately to his style of teaching. Thank you, Kurt for sharing.
Start the dance with "Slow, quick-quick". It's safer.
thank you man!
Where is this guy from? He’s obviously not been in a Texas dance hall. Looks like he’s doing same as what’s on Texas two step videos....plain two step not the same.
Seems there's no end to Texans yappin' about the Texas two step, yet not ONE of you can ever describe the drunken stumbling mess you keep yappin about... care to make a video showin' us exactly what you mean?
Fucking annoying
Very informative. Hustle for Dummies
Anthony Sparman Dustle
I agree with everyone else. Excellent instruction, easy to follow, even for those of us who love to dance but require extensive help! : D
Excellently presented, very clear. Thanks for doing it on all the perspectives. I think I know what I'm asking for for Christmas.
aswm... vedio
thank you this was very clear and understandable
In the proper Cuban cha cha cha music , it is impossible to start on count " one ". In international " cha-cha " , the basic rhythm is always one so it doesn't matter when you start. In international cha-cha , of the 5 couples dancing the basic cha-cha step , maybe 2 will do the same pattern. The rest of the couples will be at different stages of the same bacis step. In cuban cha cha cha , the beat 2-3 is very accented , and 5 couples on the dance floor will all dance the basic step in unison.
very well explained and illustrated
I was wanting to download your beginner video but on your online store it looks like you only have intermediate available. Is the basic available. I need it for Friday.
Glad to hear..
Glad you enjoyed it! Best wishes!
very useful video :)
smooth and we'll laid out. Good progression with lead movements
In part due to a question below: This is a Progressive or Line of Dance dance. That means you circle to floor in a counter-clockwise direction. In a Spot Dance, you stay in the same few square feet. Swing is an example. If you try to do this Two-step. the day will come when you will have to contend with couples who do not know that this is a Progressive Dance. They Swing, blocking the outer ring of the floor. People, people. If you Spot Dance, do it in the center of the floor!
I miss this in a major way. The local club closed due to some legal complications. I used to go two two stepping a lot. Many thanks! I used to do the Sweetheart Schottische a lot and the El Paso in addition and the Country Swing.
So I just started learning to two step tonight and I must say from the beginning of the night to when we ended our evening, it least I didn't fall on my face lol. This video was definitely helpful. I wish I would've seen this before I went out lol. Now I'm going to be on UA-cam all night learning how to do different dances. Thank you P's...im on my gf UA-cam lol
texas
I've been watching several videos on this dance and this one is the best. Clear instructions and demonstrations are very good.
Agreed, very good. All comments made sense, were well laid out, and his technique is smooth.
please make some specialty ones for spins and multiple turns - and also ladies hand styling............... polishing the dances are such a challenge for many of us
Cute. Informative video. Funny, Patty Purple. The girl in the other video was Karen Yellow? hehehe
