Travis, Pete and Frank Miramahdi best announcers in the business.
Someone needs to write a book based on interviews with these callers. It's fascinating to those of us who watch racing.
Fascinating. I always thought they went off horse number/color combinations (that's what I do). But they memorize the silks. I love listening to race calls.Sometimes they are almost poetry (Secretariat at Belmont, some of Zenyatta's races come to mind).
@@claudialupper Sometimes the horse numbers get obstructed during a race so the caller needs to rely of the more visible jockey silks or jackets worn by harness drivers.
Pretty sure I could never be as glib as the race callers. Interesting that he picked Just A Touch. He was in my top three and I'm wondering what happened. There's always practically zero post-race analysis of more than a couple of horses that don't finish in the money.
In the box seats past the finish line, we CAN NOT hear your race call!! Very annoying , LOVE YOUR RACE CALLS, when they can be heard.
Horse racing is pathetic. No value which is why the industry is on its way to extinction. Jubilee when 2/5 odds win races. Sad and laughable.
Why post a negative comment when the focus of this video is on the professional race caller?
