The vanlifers I have seen with live plants lost them too. I would bet it is nearly impossible to keep them alive without drastic measues since the temps change so much in a van, extreme heat and cold. 🥶🥵
Just got my own astro and so excited to build it out! I love your layout - I was wondering how big your mattress is and can you sleep 2 people in it? I'm 5'7" too but I'm worried if I go on trips with my tall friends it'll be a nightmare to try and sleep! Thanks :D
Oh my gosh congrats!!! I’m so excited for you 🤍 my mattress is a twin with a few inches cut off the end! my boyfriend (same height as me) and I can fit in the bed, but it’s really tight. Like you have to be super comfortable with whoever you’re sleeping with LOL if your friends are taller than 5’7” they might have a hard time fitting. I think my walls make me lose a couple inches though, so just take that into account & maybe get someone to lay in the back with you to get a feel 😂

I need to get a portable vacuum for my setup now, that's very very handy to have.
The car vacs don't work great especiqlly on sand and dirt. It's faster to hand sweep with a hand broom like she has.
