You cant hear Seans Bass. Very suprised that Rob didn't have issue with the production at the time cos he's no idiot. The production makes them sound like a garage band. Bill Lawrence should burn for the awful production. The songs are cool and you can hear Robs vocal style taking shape.
Wonder if this could be improved with a remix. Sounds like dogshit, but the performances aren't bad. Can't imagine a skilled engineer couldn't tune this up if the tapes were available...Will likely never happen, the opportune time was the mid 90s when there was money to be made from White Zombie.
@@justinwolz4932 It’s similar to Hardcore Punk in that a lot of groups weren’t real musicians, but some groups were virtuosos like players in X and the Bad Brains. All genres artists don’t sound exactly alike or they would be boring as fuck. You don’t like WZ’s first album? That’s fine, your opinion.
I saw them during this tour, maybe 40 people in the audience
Lucky duck!
You wouldn't happen to know anyone who had taped audio from that show ??? I would love to hear it
@@dylanbarnett6099 no sorry
Their sound in these years was impeccable! Flawless! Thrashing! Madness! Love Rob and this band forever!
Definitely an improvement from soul crusher! I felt like my soul was being crushed while forcing myself to listen to it!
criminally underrated album. rob's vocal phrasing is sick as hell.
Great album

This is way better than it has any right to be. He should do another album like this.

the It Came From NYC boxset has a remastered version of this and all the early releases.
Conspiracy!
Weirdly thrashy.
songs are ok but the production is horrible
I found this album in a used cd store around 96. Decent songs but production is atrocious. Too bad a lesbian stole it.
Quite the improvement over Soul Crusher. That shit sucked ass.
I just checked it out for the first time. Absolutely terrible. This is a vast improvement.
@@xenos_n. I dug it. It was abstract and fun for me to listen to
They were part of the NY underground noise scene at the time.
Live Skull, Unsane, Boss Hog, Sonic Youth, The Honeymoon Killers, etc.
@@babywah3290 I am aware they came from the noise scene, but even some of them wrote songs.
