It’s currently in for a belt change with peugot. They said the belt was fine, i ripped the sump off and found the strainer was blocked. Drove for a few weeks whilst waiting to get in with peugot. They ripped off the sump and it had debris in there.

I believe so! I will look into it though. I know some of the new peugot vans are now timing chains! And apparently the cars have a “improved belt” as of 2024 - but unforntsrly we will not no the reliability of these until the future

Further to my last - the HDI do not have wet belts (good news for those diesel owners)

From my limited research it says they have a dry belt. Your best bet would be to phone your local peugot dealer - or as I’m on good terms with mine, drop your details here and il ring them.

Are you a peugot fan yourself :)?
208 isn’t a bad motor, my main issue with the motor is visibility and wet belt system. I drove a 2024 one the other day, visibility is worse and still got wet belt!
What are your thoughts? :)
