The cruise control is the best there is. Once activated you can switch it on and off simply by touching the end of the stalk with your finger without taking your hands off the steering wheel. In the same way you can operate the indicators by flicking the other stalk.

You can set your seat height as well... I have owned a first generation 208 for more than 8 years now. Once everything is set, there is no problem at all. I'm tired of hearing and reading the same crap about this no-problem. Sometimes, the main problem is between the steering wheel and the pedals...

What engine size is in the car? Petrol or diesel? I recently test drove 1.2 (100hp) GT was quite enough, but you can hear it. No vibrations at all though . And I also test drove the 1.2(130hp) in the bigger GT 2008 - it was whisper quite and so smooth. Almost inaudible unless accelerating harshly. But it’s a bigger car. I had planned to get the 208 (100) GT manual, but I think the GT 2008 (130hp manual) has won me over. Great reviews btw!! 👍🏽
Apologies, I have completely forgot what engine size this one was, but it would have been one of the lower options in the GT range. It was a petrol. I have recently drove the 2008 and I agree, the 2008 is the better purchase if you can stretch the little bit extra prices. Thank you very much by the way for the kind words!

Touchscreen... It's not bad, it does the job, again I don't need to reach to touch the screen so I think your seat might be too far reclined. Cruise Control position... yeah, that is rubbish, it's just a case of learning what does what over time, my last car had the controls on the wheel which was much better. Storage... buy smaller bottles ;-) ... as I have the electric car it's automatic so I have no issue with a gear stick... sorry "I'm alright Jack" on that one. Glove box is stupidly small 'cos of the fuse box position which they don't change from where it is for the left hand drive, that is a stupid decision. Engine Noise... well mine's electric so it's sooooooo quite, it's lovely and relaxing to drive. 3D display... I'm 50 and wear glasses and I personally don't have issues of it making my eyes go funny, I think it looks really cool, there a a few dropped frames when you change dial layouts but I can live with that.
Spot on mate. Glad you’re enjoying the car, and thank you for furthering my points. Always good to get the opinion of someone who’s lived with the car day in day out for a longer period of time
The brakes! Far too sensitive and aggressive, doesn't make city driving easy. Or driving anywhere for that matter. Grrrr I love the Speed Limiter (I don't need to see it just look at the speedo to see what it's doing), with the new 20mph London max. I can do 0 to 19mph in less than 2 seconds and stay there. Ha Ha.
Completely understand the 20mph limit in London, but it can be frustrating! One thing I didn't test which you might be able to provide an insight on, what is the minimum speed this car allows for cruise control? I only ask as I know certain cars require a minimum speed of 20mph sometimes, like my Audi A5.
It’s all personal preference. The whole point of the video series is to find 5 things I disliked about it, and there’ll be a video releasing this week on the 5 things I loved about it. Just because you love something, doesn’t mean others can’t dislike it.
*wrong,* only the steering wheel is the problem, nothing else is wrong about it. If you don’t like it, buy a more expensive car. It’s absolutely useless to hate a car when you can buy one that’s suitable for you. My opinion.
Don’t play smart, it’s just like making a video complaining about a channel- what’s the point of hating a car when you can be convincing and showing the viewer about the benefits of a car. I’ve driven the 208 and I don’t see a single problem except the steering wheel and the rear space. Can’t wait to see what u hate about a Rolls Royce.

Always good to get the opinion of someone who’s lived with the car day in day out for a longer period of time
This or mini Cooper
That’s actually a really tough one, I’m going to say I personally preferred this!
Please drive your Lada again
What do you want when your driving ?go to sleep! I moved my steering wheel no problems👍!
Watch any other review, same problems
The brakes! Far too sensitive and aggressive, doesn't make city driving easy. Or driving anywhere for that matter. Grrrr
I love the Speed Limiter (I don't need to see it just look at the speedo to see what it's doing), with the new 20mph London max.
@@OLTAUTOMOTIVE Never used it, but the manual says 25mph.
@@williamdavid4823 ah I see! Thank you for checking!
Have you tried to raise the chair...maybe to be able to see also the bonnet? Just saying...
Watch some other reviews on this and other Peugeots, common problem
Just lift the seat a bit. That’s all I did
Hasn’t helped unfortunately, if you check out a few other reviews of this car and other Peugeots you’ll see it’s a common problem
Utter rubbish. Can't believe how you slate this car off. I have this car. Love it. This video is made up fake rubbish!
My opinion.
It’s not my car. I just review them when I get to have them for a few days. Maybe get that one right first before commenting
It's generic but you don't know how to use it
What don’t I know how to use?
German car fan boy I’d say comparing it to cars £15-20 it’s superior (oh look nice R8). Annoying cubbys and storage, yeah sure however HATE is a strong word 😂
Hate is a strong word you're right, but you wouldnt necessarily click on the video if I titled it things I don't like! Not necessary a German car fan boy, but they are the best at what they do! There was actually a lot I liked about this car, which you can see in the opposing video!
I have this car in South Africa and this is the such nitpicking i cant believe it. Nothing of what you uave said impact it at all. I had a corsa before this such and upgrade. The small sterring wheel is a selling point not a detracting at all.
This is acctually a not great at all. Anyways. Will def not be subscribing to your channel if this is the quality of prosuct you put out. Every point you make a can canhe it into a postive. Ultimatley this is why reviews are subjective. In this segemet and what the car is up against. I can find 100 reasons why this car won car of the year
Like you say, views and opinions are subjective. Look at some of the other comments and watch some other reviews and you’ll see I’m not the only one who makes the same criticisms.
I have andriod phone though
Not sure on android auto
Get longer arms and neck.
