Beautiful car , no problems at all seeing the dash , no vibration or loud engine noise when stopped at lights etc , touch screen easily reachable , smooth and punchy only negative personally is not a lot of rear passenger space otherwise highly recommended.

Vibration I believe will be due to it being a 3cyl, try a polo/fabia/Ibiza with the 4 cylinder 1.2 petrol, you feel nothing what so ever. More cylinders generally give a smoother experience and less vibration

The cruise control is the best there is. Once activated you can switch it on and off simply by touching the end of the stalk with your finger without taking your hands off the steering wheel. In the same way you can operate the indicators by flicking the other stalk.

This video gives me boomer vibes and it is honestly a lot of nitpicking.
1.The steering wheel works like charm for me.
    2. Are you real? This is a B segment car. You can not expect iDrive like controlel in such a cheap car lol. Regarding the Andorid Auto it is nothing to do with Peugeot, it is a problem how Android Auto programed the integration, you can't get any ratio. Even if you do it wouldn't help you much as it will show you left and right parts of the map which are not relevant (you need the map ahead of you to be bigger, not left or right)
    3. That is a well known cluster PSA uses for 2 decades. I don’t mind it that was as it will clutter the steering wheel a lot and no one uses cruise control regularly. Be proud that it is at least present as the other segment competitors don't provide it without additional payment
    4. What B segment car has space for a big bottle in the middle console? I think you are very pampered and you are comparing this car with 50k+€ SUVs and Mercedeses Audis and BMWs loool
Regding the USBs what are you rumbling about??? What B segment cars have USB chargers in the arm rest?? Most cars in this class don't have arm rest at all not even USBs lol
    5. It is a 3 cylinder engine and it is one of the most hushed cabin you can get in this class (coming from an VW Polo 2019 owner) Peugeout 208 has dumping in the hood, double insulation on the doors and acoustic windows all as standard!! There is no car in this segment that paid so attention to this
Overall I think you are a mommy boy, comparing it to 50 grand Audis and Mercs totally out of it's class. It is the strongerst competitor and one of the most complete cars (with Fabia) currently in the market.

    • @OLTAUTOMOTIVE
      @OLTAUTOMOTIVE  2 роки тому +2

The whole point of the video is to be nitpicking things.
      1) Thats personal preference, I’m not the only person who’s reviewed the car and disliked the steering wheel.
      2) Such a cheap car? The GT Line starts at 20k, and full GT models can be up to 30k… that’s not cheap. I’m guessing you’re talking about Apple CarPlay, as I don’t have android auto, but that is most definitely a Peugeot problem and not an apple issue. Peugeot choose how big of a section the screen can be used, considering every other car I’ve been in which has CarPlay, has managed to fill their screens perfectly fine.
      3) Don’t you think that if you’ve used something for 2 decades, that maybe it needs to be improved and adapted? You know, like every other manufacturer has done? And no one uses cruise control? I used it often in the few days I had the car… I imagine I’m not the only one in that either.
      4) I’ve not always had an issue with storage space in other cars (not sure what a B segment car is fully classified as that’s a European term, not used here in the UK) which are a similar size to this Peugeot, in some yes I have, but in others I haven’t at all and it’s absolutely ridiculous to even think I’m comparing this with SUV’s?
      5) Are you serious? Look through my channel, there isn’t a single car I’ve been in or review which doesn’t include USB’s in the centre console. It is the main place to store your mobile phone, the whole point of it being in there is to stop people using their mobile while driving as it is tucked away and hidden. And most cars don’t have arm rests in this class? I really have no idea what cars you’re comparing this too now, but any car between 20-30k will have an arm rest and most definitely have USB’s, we live in the modern world where tech is everything.
      5) Again, watch some other reviews, notably Matt Watson from CarWow, he also mentions what I have in regard to the noise and vibrations that come into the cabin. So, unless you’ve sat in one yourself to judge, maybe do some further research.
I love a bit of constructive criticism and feedback, I even mention in videos that I love back and forth conversation with viewers, but I’m definitely not a mommy’s boy comparing this to 50k+ cars. I understand this isn’t that. The whole point of the video is to nitpick and find things which I dislike, which others may also dislike. At the end of the day, everything is subjective and personal opinion, like I always say, what you dislike won’t be the same as what I dislike. Tune into some of the other videos (notably the things I love about this car, releasing in a few days) and you’ll see I have to find things in every car that aren’t to my personal preference. Not everything is perfect.
      Cheers for the comment.

The wheel may be set horizontally too, many people forget it. What surprises me most is that no journalist noticed the "e" version of the car had a rear live axle, a really antic choice for a modern car (I suppose the regular suspension lacked room due to the batteries). It's much more shocking to me (especially given its price) than the so-called "wheel visibility problem".

Good video. I bought the e208 a couple of weeks ago and I'm absolutely in love with it. To cover you points from my position.
Wheel position... yeah I saw those videos as well, and I'm 6ft like you and I have no problem whatsoever seeing the whole display over the wheel, I wonder if you need to adjust your seat height as I sit quite upright and although it's hard to tell you seem laid back a bit.
Touchscreen... It's not bad, it does the job, again I don't need to reach to touch the screen so I think your seat might be too far reclined.
Cruise Control position... yeah, that is rubbish, it's just a case of learning what does what over time, my last car had the controls on the wheel which was much better.
Storage... buy smaller bottles ;-) ... as I have the electric car it's automatic so I have no issue with a gear stick... sorry "I'm alright Jack" on that one. Glove box is stupidly small 'cos of the fuse box position which they don't change from where it is for the left hand drive, that is a stupid decision.
Engine Noise... well mine's electric so it's sooooooo quite, it's lovely and relaxing to drive.
3D display... I'm 50 and wear glasses and I personally don't have issues of it making my eyes go funny, I think it looks really cool, there a a few dropped frames when you change dial layouts but I can live with that.

Utter rubbish. Can't believe how you slate this car off. I have this car. Love it. This video is made up fake rubbish!

It’s all personal preference. The whole point of the video series is to find 5 things I disliked about it, and there’ll be a video releasing this week on the 5 things I loved about it. Just because you love something, doesn’t mean others can’t dislike it.

*wrong,* only the steering wheel is the problem, nothing else is wrong about it. If you don’t like it, buy a more expensive car. It’s absolutely useless to hate a car when you can buy one that’s suitable for you. My opinion.

It’s not my car. I just review them when I get to have them for a few days. Maybe get that one right first before commenting

Don’t play smart, it’s just like making a video complaining about a channel- what’s the point of hating a car when you can be convincing and showing the viewer about the benefits of a car. I’ve driven the 208 and I don’t see a single problem except the steering wheel and the rear space. Can’t wait to see what u hate about a Rolls Royce.

German car fan boy I’d say comparing it to cars £15-20 it’s superior (oh look nice R8). Annoying cubbys and storage, yeah sure however HATE is a strong word 😂

Hate is a strong word you're right, but you wouldnt necessarily click on the video if I titled it things I don't like! Not necessary a German car fan boy, but they are the best at what they do! There was actually a lot I liked about this car, which you can see in the opposing video!

I have this car in South Africa and this is the such nitpicking i cant believe it. Nothing of what you uave said impact it at all. I had a corsa before this such and upgrade. The small sterring wheel is a selling point not a detracting at all.
This is acctually a not great at all. Anyways. Will def not be subscribing to your channel if this is the quality of prosuct you put out. Every point you make a can canhe it into a postive. Ultimatley this is why reviews are subjective. In this segemet and what the car is up against. I can find 100 reasons why this car won car of the year
