- Along with major additions like StandBy mode, Live Voicemail, Contact Posters, and NameDrop, there are dozens if not hundreds of smaller, lesser known features that Apple is adding in iOS 17.

Visual lookup isnt a new feature but the button there in photos can now recognize different things like identifying issues with your car, symbols and more AND can work with videos too.
I have a few pics of my cat in my photos and visual lookup says she can be a few different breeds
Is visual lookup only for some countries? I don't have it
There is no visual lookup before iOS 17. I have the latest iOS on my iPhone 13 max and there is no button for visual lookup. In that spot is the "information" button. What drugs are you on?

I like the level feature in the camera app. Only criticism I have of it, is that it is not very easy to see if your eyesight is not 100%, or you’re using the phone in bright light. I’d like to see Apple make the line just slightly thicker and also to use a red line if not straight.

@MacRumors I don't understand why Apple put the Grocery List functionality into the Reminders App. I would think it belongs in the Notes App.

Visual lookup is already there in Photos, so what exactly is new about it?
No it's not. I have the latest iOS with my iPhone 13 max and there is no lookup, just an "i" (information) button
it depends on the country. maybe you're in one of unsupported ones. It is there for me in Ireland.@@spydie
Great features. Not all seem to work. The photoalbum and get the paw with dogs, or even add your pet to contacts with the question mark. Wel this not even comes up. Only with people.

One question. Is the „swipe to privat“ browsing tab a iOS17 feature?
I’m okay with it being in Reminders I guess… the checkboxes work way better in my experience.
But the reasoning I assume is that Reminders already had all the required features built in… all Apple did was make it auto-organize. Notes doesn’t have all the grouping and heading features yet that Apple uses to group things.

Filling up the grocery list using several commands in a row with Siri as it is supposedly now keeping context..? Is that possible? Can you say "Siri, add milk to the grocery list....and bread....eggs...." - will it work, or there is a time out after which Siri has no clue what you are talking about anymore?

Just tried for you on iOS 17 and nope it doesn't. After you add the first item, if you continue with "add eggs" or "and eggs" Siri just does a search in safari for "add eggs". Not very good

Hello my friend I wonder if you can possibly answer this for me will there be a time in the future where Apple allows us to customise the keyboard I am a visually impaired person with a macular disease for me to be able to see things reasonably I have to have a yellow background and black writing this is normal for someone with a macular disease I know you can get 3rd party keyboards but a lot of them are rubbish, I know Android allows you to customise the keyboard but really do not want to go down that route apple normally is good for accessibility but sadly have done no changes to the keyboard at all I apologise for my grammar and spelling using voice dictation
i suggested creating a feature request...

Do the other person have to give permission to have your AirTag shared with them? If not, can't a bad actor simply share the AirTag so it doesn't give the "AirTag that's not yours is traveling with you" warning?
It's not permission, but you're notified "X has shared Y AirTag with you!" You can then remove the AirTag from your Find My.
Hidden features need as well not exist. For that matter, tech that does not come with an INSTRUCTION MANUAL need as well not exist.
But Siri is still awful 😢
what happens when I am not connected to the internet even after the new iOS release. Do you think it will force me install it?
You don’t need to install it if you don’t want it, you don’t need to turn internet off.
A lot of common sense added functionality, why does it take such a wealthy company soooo long to add common sense functions ?? As a professional, I need folders in the message/text app. 9 pinned messages is NOT enough or the best way to organize messages. I need folders for “current customers”, “potential customers” and so on.
OH, and how about FINALLY adding folder nesting ? Why the heck can’t we put folders inside of folders on the Home Screen ? 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 The person / team that picks what gets added needs to be FIRED !!!!!!!
