    A friend of mine did the 70 cc upgrade Estriol side bleeder exhast and used a bigger delerotto carb 15 over the 14 68 main jet and he adds a few drops of oil in the tank no problems and that was 1500 mile ago.

    Dear Travis, great tutorial!
    I have recently begun to try and service my Tomos A35. And to get the left engine cover off, it seems that i have remove the tubes from the oil pump, since the tubes go through a small hole into the behind of the left engine cover. I can't put the engine cover back on now anymore, because the flywheel is not alligned, so i gotta have it off. Also i would like to clean it up in there.
    If u ever see this, would u consider making a vid about how to remove the oil pump correctly without deleting it? xD
    Or just a helpful article, i would like to try to go about it myself. I think my biggest challenge is the clamps that holds the tubes on the oil pump. I would like to service the oil pump as well.
    Hope hearing from you!

    Thx - my oil pump went "KAAPUTT". This the next best option.

    thanks for your upload! did you have to re-jet after? I'm going to be trying this and probably running 50:1 mix...

      +Craig Daye Nope, assuming your bike is completely stock it's the same tune as non oil injection models. If you scroll down you can see some early 90s Tomos Sprint models were 50:1 mix non oil injection models. If you have a performance exhaust or a custom air filter or kit, then yes upjet.

    Sorry I’m a bit late. But I have a 2 stroke Reed valve engine and removing the oil pump will be fine right ? I won’t need to bypass or remove anything from inside the timing case like gears or anything ?

    Why not just add a little oil in the gas tank?

    You Bring up an excellent QUESTION on OIL INJECTION For TUNED Bikes .
    Will the stock AUTO OIL Injection system
    DELIVER the Correct Amount of Pre-Mix
    After any PERFORMANCE Upgrades have been done !?

    • @TravisTutorial
      @TravisTutorial  8 років тому

      +tomosrestoration After speaking with many Tomos owners over the years the general consensus seems to be that the time and effort of premixing seems to far outweigh the risk and cost of replacing aftermarket parts.

    Hey travis helpful video! I have a 2011 tomos lx with the a55 engine and I want to get rid of my oil injection as well because I have just about every performance upgrade possible. I was wondering if you knew how much to premix after I remove my oil injector?

    • @TravisTutorial
      @TravisTutorial  10 років тому +1

      According to folks on MopedArmy the A55 Sprint model, which comes without oil injection from the factory as it is the base model, uses a 50:1 mix so that is a pretty good bet.

    Why not just take off the "gear" from the oil pump, and then put the pump back on to cover the hole?

      That's actually a video I have planned in the coming weeks. Simple mods include porting the stock cylinder, de-restricting the airbox, exhaust, and adjusting the springs on the stock clutch. Stay tuned!
