Hey thanks for the video. I just started at EDV in March. So far I have been able to drop RSVs and get more than the 75 hour guarantee. I am definitely mindful of the trips I pick up.
OK on my head to try the cabbage with that B seasoning because I use seasoning and lil bacon grease but I’m willing to try something new and thanks for the tips on reserved
You are welcome on the tips, I’ve never used bacon grease to cook cabbage, but I don’t eat much bacon either. But you have to let the cabbage cook down some first then season it.
You Never too old, I had people in their 60’s in my training class they said this was a dream of theirs and they accomplished it and they are still with the company.
You set yourself up, with calling it ☹️ I was hoping you could have stayed home. What did you do with the cabbage, mhmm I agree that the boullion elevates your veggies.
I wish I could have stayed home as well, I wasn’t feeling work either. I just fried the cabbage in olive oil, cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables.
I will say get yourself acclimated to being back in school because it can be overwhelming especially if you haven’t been in a classroom setting in a long time. When you are done with your training day don’t jump right into studying try to destress or get over the day then go back to studying. I was on reserve for one year I could have had a line sooner if I switched bases.
I hope their aren't actual 4-day trips only worth 10 hours 😳. I've sat airport standby once where I was all packed up putting my coat on ready to leave and had 2 minutes left, they called me for a Sao Paulo 3-day little did I know it was a 10 hour flight, I was STRUGGLING the whole flight!
Their have been some people credited with a 11hr 4 days before. That’s crazy they gave you a San Paulo trip on standby especially without the proper sleep, I would have been running to the crew bunks when I was my turn for rest.
I’m a new hire FA with frontier they apparently I have to be at my base while on reserve. They gave me dates for 17-19 so does this mean I have to be at my base for 3 days? They said the start time is 11am so is that what time I should be expecting to call. Am I still getting paid being here at my base while on standby?
Thank you all for stopping by. Be sure to hit the like 👍🏾 button, leave a comment and if you are new be sure to subscribe.

Thats good, I wish it was like that when I was on reserve, but I am glad you are able to pick up and fly.
My mom swears by that Knorrs whether it be chicken, beef or vegetable! I love when she uses the vegetable flavor for rice...so good!!
It is by far one of the best seasoning I bought and I use it a lot
@@TravelingGunn We don't get the loose kind over here so she stocks up on the cubes!!
So glad you explained this! I know it'll help hopefuls for your airline. Sometimes reserve blocks can be rough.
It was rough on me that day. I wasn’t expecting to work a 12 hr day , but I guess that is the lesson...expect the unexpected while on reserve.
Some folks definitely know how to manipulate the system to help themselves at the expense of others. Like you, I’d rather help and teach others
I believe in karma, beside I want the reserves to stay because in the end if we are short reserves line holders can’t drop trips.
Share the knowledge. I love it
I have to pass on what I know, so it can help out the next person. Thank you for watching.
I love traveling!
Great Video seeing you at home . That’s cool you guys as lime holders can pick up reserve .
It helps out a lot especially if you’re trying to get more hours and there isn’t anything in opentime.
Love this video
Man those rolling delays can either be your best friend or work against you smh lol
It definitely didn’t work out in my favor this day. Thank you for watching.
Nice content....
Thank you I appreciate you for watching
Hi there!
I’m way to scared to pick up reserve days. I would probably get stuck doing 16 hour duty days
I normally don’t, I just needed more hours for February.

@traveling Gunn I’m probably to old to be a flight attendant. But would love to do it

Great video.
I am going to training at the end of the month for Skywest. Any advice for a 50+ guy.
Also, how long were you on reserve?

Do they call you with plenty of time before a trip while on reserve?
